It has been almost eighteen years since my parents, Prometheus and Gaea, escaped the city where their freedom and independence were enslaved. Since then, my parents have fought so hard to pave a path for me and my siblings, one where we are solely in control of our life and future. Knowing how hard Prometheus fought for his independence from the city, I am still curious about this infamous city no one ever seems to talk about.
“Adrastos, what’s got you so deep in thought?” my mother questioned.
“Nothing important mom,” I nonchalantly responded.
In reality, I can’t seem to stop thinking about my father and this city that he almost died escaping eighteen years ago. I wonder what prompted him to leave the life he had built and run away into

All we can do is remember the great man he was and cherish the time we got with him,” Gaea sympathetically stated.
Two years ago today, my father passed away in a tragic accident no one foresaw. The night before he passed away, he came into my room and told me that he had a secret and a present to give me.
“Son, now that you’re sixteen and more of a man, I’ve decided that it’s time to share a little secret and give you a present. I have noticed that you have grown more curious about what I do and what I’ve been through, well tonight I’ll tell you some of the stories.” Prometheus said in a matter of fact manner.
I sat more upright in my chair as I impatiently waited for him to divulge what I’ve wanted to know more years.
“I have to keep this short because I have an experiment I need to finish tonight. The secret I want to tell you is about what I think I have discovered in my lab. Through all the reading I have done, I’m almost positive I have come across the power of electricity. Don’t tell your mother or anyone for that matter, for it might scare them and try to make me stop.” Prometheus sternly

Glancing at the clock I see that it’s almost one am, I begin to lightly pack a change of clothes, some food and water, and most importantly, the journals my father gave me. I head into the kitchen and say, “Gaea I’m going to sleep at Aethers house to talk about Prometheus, maybe he can tell me some stories to make me feel better.”
“Okay, honey. Be safe and I love you.” Gaea stated.
Before heading out the door, I look back and say, “ I will mom, don’t worry about me and always know that I love you more than
"Bye mom!" I yell as I walk out the door on my way to school. My mom reminds
The council of anthem has rules for a reason, they’re made to support their plan, Prometheus will have rules but not the same ones as the council. Prometheus didn’t follow the rules the council had so why would he have the same rules that stopped him from getting where we he wanted to be. He wasn’t in the scholar system because those were the council’s rules. He couldn’t say anything about the tunnel and his invention of the light bulb. The way he made it was illegal and sinful, he knew it was but that didn’t stop him from doing what he believed in.
Prometheus is the son of Lapetus and Clymene. His dad is was a titian and his mother was an oceanid. He had three brothers named Epimetheus, Atlas, and Menoetuis. He was married to Hesione. His name come from the Greeks meaning “freight, forethought” He was also a God of Fire. When prometheus sided with Zeus, his job was to create man with water and earth, so he started creating people out of clay and other surrounding. When he started to create them, he became passionate about men.
Did Mary Shelley initially title her work about Victor Frankenstein and his creation The Modern Prometheus solely because of the glaring similarities between their stories? That is a question that is often discussed, but a conclusion rarely arrives. One of the possible reasons for this could be because there are many different interpretations of the Promethean myth, which are mainly based on the ambiguous nature of the story. The parallels between the Promethean myth and Frankenstein are obvious, and that, in combination with her subtitle, The Modern Prometheus, indicates that Mary Shelley did have the myth in mind as she wrote the story.
“I love you mom I’ve gotta go now” I said as I was running to the army line.
Prometheus, a tale over 2000 years old, is still as relevant in the modern era as it was all those years ago in Athens. Prometheus is seen throughout the 20th and 21st centuries, especially in pop culture, frequently as a martyr and hero, however there is a much more profound parallel that can be made about his timeless character. He represents the consequences of when one seeks knowledge, independency, and especially enlightenment. From his deviance to his torture, we see how prometheus and the modern man are alike. Prometheus gave humans fire, by doing so that meant that he no longer needed nor respected the gods and that humans would soon follow that example.
Remembering the intense reaction I’d felt from the first time my grandmother had placed the pendant into my palm and thereupon I knew that he was genuinely speaking.

Prometheus, the Titan of Greek mythology, was considered to be the most important Titan ever in all the myths. He helped the human race tremendously in his efforts to sustain an easier lifestyle. Mankind had great respect for him because of his advantages and gifts or abilities he gave them. Also, his battle against Zeus as a result of his love for man was very much appreciated. Prometheus was one of the most interesting Greek mythology figures in his time. He was a very kind, loving, generous, and courteous god to mankind. This can be seen through many events in his life including a particular myth that the reader will acknowledge in this research paper.
Kafka’s work, Prometheus, is impossible to determine if it is in fact a parable or an interpretation of a myth. The style of Kafka’s writing is somewhat naïve, not having much description that adds to the spine of the four legends of Prometheus. As readers find the piece rather easy to read, it also creates numerous questions whether Kafka intentionally wanted it to be readable, or if there is a certain point that is hidden in the text. Whether this piece is a parable or not, it definitely teaches a moral lesson through the four legends of Prometheus’ mistake towards the gods of Olympus.
Myth about Prometheus has been an endless source of inspiration for many writers and poets throughout the centuries. Because of the universal message that is conveyed by the story the character of Prometheus became a fitting metaphor that suits different epochs and writers. The myth offers rich symbolism as well as an interesting narrative for reinterpretation. Usually, authors use the figure of the titan, the liberator of the humanity, in the context of his heroism, defiance, rebellion, sacrifice for the common good and disagreement with the unfairness of the present reality. In my paper I will focus on poetry that drew inspiration from the promethean myth and try to describe how different poets interpret and reinterpret the story of the ancient titan. I decided to take into consideration poems: “Old Prometheus” written by Zbigniew Herbert, “Prometheus” by Lord Byron and a poem of the same title by Leopold Staff.
Having my dad around all the time wasn’t my everyday routine. I’d see him once or twice a week so I wasn’t very much used to see him every day. One day I came home after school and he and my mom were on the balcony talking, the notice I was staring, they both looked at me and called for a family meeting by the tone of their voices I could tell there was
“You know if you’re mad at me when I leave, and something happens to me. You will regret it,” she would say, but I would just reply in a snarky tone. Saying something like,”Yeah sure mom.”
My father passed away in 1991, two weeks before Christmas. I was 25 at the time but until then I had not grown up. I was still an ignorant youth that only cared about finding the next party. My role model was now gone, forcing me to reevaluate the direction my life was heading. I needed to reexamine some of the lessons he taught me through the years.
It was a Ssaturday morning during the fall season and I was up early watching some cartoons when I realized my dad was up. He was up and about doing his usual Ssaturday chores when I notice something different about him. He looked and acted nervous but at the same time he was super excited for something. That something was a Michigan football game, which was gonna be played in a few hours. I never really notice my dad act like this before, but when I did I knew something was up. I then asked my dad, “What’s the big deal dad?” and then he said, “It’s the season opener for Michigan football!” A few hours had passed and suddenly I had heard my dad scream in joy at the TV. I then came running into the living
