Persuasive Speech
Topic: illegal immigration
General Purpose: to persuade
Specific Purpose: To persuade my audience to be pro illegal immigration.
Central Idea: I will persuade you that illegal immigrants should be allowed to stay in the
U.S. by sharing with you some information on the subject, arguments on the subject, and
also some solutions to the problem.
Introduction:
Imagine a teenage girl, only seventeen years old having to go three states away to
visit her father. To see him she must enter a building and before she can get to the main
door she has to go through the first fence door, and wait for it to close before the second
one will open. Now she walks to the main door of

3. America was built by immigrants. C. Many immigrants who cannot gain citizenship, who are denied access into our
country, come here illegally. 1. As I stated earlier, immigrants come here looking for work and/or education. 2. Many illegal immigrants who are in the U.S. have families they support
back in their home countries. 3. Their home countries are sometimes dangerous, and America offers a
better life. 4. America has some of the best educational opportunities in the world. a. Illegal immigrants want a chance to better themselves, and have
a good education, to support them selves, and often times most of
their family.
D. One side looks at crime. Failing schools and soaring welfare spending and sees
too many immigrants. The other side, the side I am on, sees America, the greatest
nation on earth, built on the backs of immigrants and still benefiting enormously
from the brains, energy and determination of the nest generation of newcomers.
III. Lastly, I will give you solutions to what people call “the problem”. A. There are many solutions to illegal immigration. 1. People against illegal immigration will tell you the solution to the
problem is more border control and stricter laws. 2. However, just like when you tell a child they can’t do something, it
makes them try harder, and different ways to get what they
Sadly, Democrats want to stop paying our troops and government workers in order to give a sweetheart deal, not a fair deal, for DACA. Take care of our Military, and our Country, FIRST!The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!
My fellow Senators I stand in the firmest Affirmation to this bill in regards to building a US Mexico Border Wall for the following three contentions.
Preview: Today, I will be addressing how illegal immigration impacts us and I will be introducing a policy to address the problem.
My orotund voice elevated around the room as I presented the final youth speech to the California State Board of Education. I remember the cheers of my fellow youth advocates as I walked out of the building with poised shoulders and my internal giddiness. Nevertheless, I knew that the time I spent at Californians for Justice was worth it.
Good evening.Today I would like to talk about Mexican American.Actually,we all know that the US
I still remember when I met you. That prideful charisma you always carried. How can someone remain so confident being a Mexican immigrant during Trump's election? I often asked myself before I knew your story, before I knew what you had been through.
Good morning delegates of the youth parliament and observing members. Today I stand before you to discuss an issue that continues to evoke high emotions and create deep divisions within Australian society. I refer to the matter of refugees and Australia's immigration policy. Not since the second world war has the world faced such an upheaval with so many people displaced. In 2015 there were 65.3 million people forcibly displaced from their homes because of conflict and persecution. Developing countries hold 84% of refugees while wealthier countries like Australia prioritise the need to reduce asylum seekers within their borders. The current policy contravenes the proper treatment of refugees and asylum seekers; because regardless of their mode of entry, once here Australia has a duty to provide protection.
Thesis: Learning as much as possible about Illegal Immigration so that we may understand and try and find a reasonable solution.
Unauthorized immigration was at the center of debate during the 2016 presidential election. Presidential candidate, Donald Trump, was able to capitalize on public outcry over the issue. He will eventually go on to win both, the nomination of the Republican party, and the 2016 presidential election. Anti-immigrant rhetoric played a major part in Trump’s Success. Moreover, the reason for said success can be attributed to the criminalization of unauthorized immigrants by politicians and anti-immigrant groups over the past two decades. Some of the arguments made by anti-immigrant groups are: Unauthorized immigration creates a financial burden for American taxpayers, unauthorized immigrants take jobs away from native born Americans and pose threats
First it starts as too many immigrants and refugees both legal and illegal. Then it becomes dangerous because amongst those immigrants there are terrorists. So how do we identify that ? Well I will discuss many ways to protect our people and our borders from immigrants, refugees, and terrorists.
Our country is supposed to be one about opportunity, neglecting to provide an equal chance for these children to learn would contradict the notion that America is the land of opportunity.
For nearly a decade now there have been a large number of illegal immigrants crossing our borders to secure freedom and free benefits. Immigration has been a hot topic lately about what we as a country need to do to secure our borders. The borders are a flawed system that has been broken for many years. Many illegal immigrants have been reported to cross the borders increasing every year.
First of all, thank you for having me but there are issues at hand that we as the people need to address. I would like to first bring to attention the point of immigration. I believe the government needs to reevelaute the idea of immigrant as for all of the people, expect Native Americans, are immigrants. Also,we all the people need to address the fact that everyone is equal and there should be no "read between the lines" when that is said. It is Congresses responalbity to stop all the earmarks that indivudlas are untaking at the moment. The other issue I want to address is the President of the United States, DOnald Trump. We both know the Republican elties did not pick this man to be the leader during their over turn
I will start my presentation with a depiction of what legal and illegal immigration encompass. After, I will talk about the impacts of immigration on America. I will finalize my presentation with the current government actions that are changing the immigration system.
Sadly, that's the harsh reality for many asylum seekers, seeking refuge in Australia as they are arbitrarily detained. Good morning or afternoon. It has been a profound honour to be invited to address you about the eloquently breach of basic human rights asylum seeker face while being detained in our shores. Mandatory detention should be abolished as it causes indiscriminate health risk. Instead, the Australia government should allow asylum seekers to settle into the community. We should be viewing asylum seekers as a humanitarian issue instead of a political one.
