Although they are all different, they have similar characteristics. All four characters are outgoing and independent, which we can see multiple times when they are told to keep secrets by the cyberbully. “Forcing them to keep secrets is what A does best.” All four of the girls also have different personalities and different hobbies which add their own situations to the story. Emily is very sporty she is on the swim team and loves anything fitness. Hannah is very girly, she loves fashion and all things that involve shopping. Aria is very artistic she loves photography and art in general. Spencer is more academic, she strives to be in all the extracurricular activities and proves to be top of the class. Clearly, the characters are all different which helps them all blend together in the show well because they all have their own problems to deal with adding more to the plot. All these help create a different atmosphere for each situation they are in. Creating different situations for the individual rather than the whole show itself, also adding a new perspective. Pretty Little Liars has many wonderful characters that help contribute to the addicting mystery that it
In the t.v. show Pretty Little Liars, the character Alison DeLaurentis is an example of a character archetype. She is the vicious queen bee. Everyone wants to be her, or at least be friends with her, even though she is ever so rude and unkind. Everyone in her group of friends becomes her puppets, and although they may not do mean things on their own, they certainly do mean things through Ali, intentionally or not. In the group, Ali makes all the decisions and is even sometimes cruel to her closest friends, like using their secrets against them, but they stand by her. Whether out of fear of what might happen if they stray away or out of love because they have shared so much with her that they are connected, they remain true to Ali no matter
Mean Girls Review Mean Girls is a movie that came out in 2004. It stars actresses Linsday Lohan and Tina Fey. It was adapted into a Broadway musical in 2018 and the musical was just recently made into a movie. This movie is about a teenage girl named Cady Harron who is new to public school. She is trying to find her clique and meets Janis Ian and her best friend Damian Leigh.
Emily is a high hoped little girl. She will help you with anything that is possible, but if you make her upset, she can be really sassy. But, a really good personality trait is being outgoing. When she puts her mind to something, she will make sure she gets it done (like she did with summer reading). But most important she is loving. When she first found Zack she got her father so he could save the dog, and she did that with the love in her heart.
They’re all different stereotypes. Bronwyn’s the brains, she’s yale-bound and constantly pressured by her parents for good grades. Nate’s the criminal, who sells drugs only so he can keep him and his drunk father off the streets. Cooper is the jock, an all-star baseball player and the most popular guy at school. And Addy is the princess, who everyone thinks is an airhead and that her life revolves around her boyfriend.
Just because they all come from different cliques does not mean that they are completely different. For one, all have familial problems as well. Brian’s parents put an enormous amount of pressure on him to succeed. Andrew’s father constantly criticizes his son and is never satisfied. Claire’s parents use her a tool for their frequent arguments. And Allison’s parents ignore her. The strained relationships each character has with their parents defines them-- they are who they are because of that. And when each character shared their secrets, they started to understand each other much better. John reveals to everyone that he comes from an abusive family. Brian reveals that he was going to kill himself with a flare gun due to a bad grade. Andrew reveals that he has trouble making his own decisions. Allison is shown to be a compulsive liar. Clair also reveals that she is a virgin, and feels pressure from her friends. These revelations not only bring all the characters closer, but they also define the characters. And even though they became friends, the characters acknowledge that the next day, everything will go back to being the same. John is initially angry that Claire says this, but she reminds him that even he will adhere to this. John will not want to be seen with Claire, for
Hannah was the most popular girl in school, every girl wanted to be her and every guy wanted to be with her. Besides her being wealthy and that she was
For example, each character has their own diction. It shows us their personality, education, and experienced. “Aibileen has the least formal education … Minnie is an out-spoken firebrand, one who doesn’t suffer fools easily … Skeeter is a college graduate who understands that her degree means nothing in her hometown.” (enotes)
Hmm……..what do we think when we hear the word character? Well, we think, “What does this person say?” , “How do they think?” and “How do his or her actions reflect on their behavior or maybe even their life?” These are all excellent and very deep questions to ask yourself when you are trying to define a character’s attitude and behavior. We also know that if you gather enough of this type of data, you will in no time know what type of person this character is. Now, let's get to the characters in the two stories. Rachel from “Eleven” as we know is very shy, timid very easy to dispirit, while Gary from “The Jacket” is outgoing and very for the next miscellaneous fight. But, Rachel and Gary are actually very similar in some key ways that define the character very well….the mindset. Both of their mindsets are at a
If you watch anything on ABC, you might know of a show called “Greys Anatomy”. A medical drama show that contains mind-blowing procedures and heart wrenching life scenarios. In the show, surgeries and surgeons are obviously the focus because... well, it is more fascinating to watch. Even though the show captures the excitement and difficulty of being a surgeon, there is a certain group of people who have a job twice as strenuous and are hardly shown. That group is the nurses. Although the hard working caregivers are not shown, the producer, Shonda Rhymes, dedicated a whole episode to the hard working nurses around the nation.
To tell you the truth, the novel The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger is one sonuvabitch that can change you goddamn life. The novel begins by Holden talking about his life and background. Holden tells us the reader about the events that took place within a few days. From leaving Pencey Prep to nearly sleeping with a hooker, Holden expresses himself unlike most people. The author, “J.D. Salinger is a highly regarded American author whose most famous work, The Catcher in the Rye, has sold over sixty-five million copies. In addition to being known for his work, Salinger was also known for his reclusive behaviour”. Salinger’s reclusive behaviour would have helped him write The Catcher in the Rye because it gave him more time to write and think about creation of The Catcher in the Rye. “When J.D. Salinger published The Catcher in the
Pretty Little Liars is a television show based on a set of novels that focuses on the lives of four teenage girls and the struggles that they face daily. After the murder of their cliques Queen Bee, Alison, each girl begins to get harassed and an anonymous bully threatens to expose all of their secrets. They are abused mentally after what seems like a never ending search to discover who the anonymous person that is harassing them is. The strong relationship that the girls maintain through their anxiety ridden high school career shows us that friendship can help to keep you strong. We will be looking specifically at Abnormal Behavior demonstrated throughout the girls high school days; Social identity theory demonstrated by
Everwood, although having a bit of an older audience than the others, had a large, loyal fan base to build on. The show also received high critical acclaim, allowing for a strong possibility of increasing the number of new viewers. Veronica Mars also had a loyal fan base, albeit somewhat smaller, exemplified by the fan that paid to have an airplane circle the CEO’s office, pleading to keep the show on air. The show also fit with the target demographic of females between 18-34 years old. 7th Heaven, being the network’s longest running show, was also the longest-running family drama in history. While the show was quite expensive to produce, there were available cuts that could be made to keep the show’s cost on par with the other three.
A wife and husband find a way to wealth and royalty and risk everything just to find that their insanity is more powerful than them and ends up consuming them. At first, I thought the Book of Eli is just another ferocious film featuring what life would have been after the judgement day. But beyond the blood-sputtered scenes and vulgar language, viewers will appreciate the simplicity of the story and the complexity and profoundness of its nature and form. The film features a compelling story based on the Christian bible which for me exceeded majority of some motion pictures released in the past years.
