Every four years, for decades and decades, U.S. citizens have been faced with the challenge of deciding which presidential candidate they’ll vote for. Sometimes presidents with severe deficiencies in character have been elected, sometimes others lacking leadership skills and the ability to tackle the problems and difficulties posed by the presidency. However, there have also been some presidents who, though not without their flaws, have remained as a model of an ideal president to many people. Washington and Lincoln are two of these presidents, who exemplified many admirable qualities as leaders.
This year, voters will again have to choose who they think would be the most qualified candidate. But before this can be determined, it has to

In addition, ideally, the president should not be someone who primarily desires the fame and power that comes with the presidency. Instead, they should be someone who truly desires the good of the country, even if it will make them less popular. Take George Washington, for example. He was already a respected and well-liked leader, but he did not want to assume the position of president. In his inaugural speech, he said, “On the one hand, I was summoned by my Country, whose voice I can never hear but with veneration and love, from a retreat which I had chosen with the fondest predilection, and, in my flattering hopes, with an immutable decision, as the asylum of my declining years…” (Washington). He then went on to express how insufficient he felt for the task of being president.
It is common for presidents to arrive as potential candidates after engaging in other major undertakings, political or otherwise. The third qualification for a president, then, is that they should have an honorable reputation and past history. Tied in with this, is the criterion that the president should have had prior positive leadership experience, where they acted honorably and did not do things such as use bribery or engage in questionable practices. It should also be easy for them to gain the respect of the people.
The president should also be a good problem-solver, should be knowledgeable in the laws and policies of the country,
Many of the world's greatest leaders are remembered for their virtues and righteousness. In the case of the United States, we have a precedent of how presidents should be based on previous leaders, historical events, documents...etc. George Washington and the U.S Constitution quintessentially provide an example of this, but they share ideas that provide a strong paradigm of leadership that we still use today. Both Washington and the Constitution believe a good leader should be someone committed to protecting and defending the nation. George Washington believes a good leader should be able to control themselves for corruption or in his own words, “control the usual current of the passions” (Passage 2, Paragraph 18).
There are three main character traits that a President should have. Trustworthiness is important because the U.S can't have a president that will lie. The President needs to be able to communicate with the people in order to be a good President. If a President has empathy and compassion then they will know how the people of their country feel.
A president should be honest at all times being reliable at doing what they say.Otherwise at having courage to do the right thing. All presidents should have kindness, compassion, and forgiveness to other people like us and president.By the way, obey the law at all times and protect the environment for eveyone in the United States. Why presidents should.
One of the things that is definitely an important trait to a President is how much they actually listen to the people that they are manning. Thomas Jefferson definitely took the thoughts and opinions of the American people into consideration while he was President of the United States. The first example of this being that he wrote the first draft of the Declaration of Independence by himself and, while it was revised and slightly edited by others, he still wrote the first draft all by himself and based upon the content of the Declaration itself, he was incredibly in tune with the people within the nation. Another way
I strongly believe that any United States president should show the trait of responsibility. Although there are many qualities a president should have, responsibility is first on the list. Many great presidents have been in office and all of them have showed responsibility. There are many definition for responsibility, such as “having control over people” or “a job or duty.” This trait can be defined as control, power, authority, and most importantly, leadership.
Firstly, I think that every successful president must be honest in order for citizens to trust him. The president of a country represents all of its citizens. I also think that a successful president has to do positive and important things to his country. For example, George Washington made The United States an independent country and Abraham Lincoln fought to end

The main characteristics you need to become a successful president are you need to be narcissistic, extroverted, intelligent, pioneer, you have to employ the free trait theory, you have to be a good public speaker and lastly you have to be nonverbally powerful.
Having good leadership skills is a must when you are looking to become president. Somebody that will be responsible and intelligent, and always be loyal. It is important for the president to be responsible because you are trusting them with all of the countries secret
Honest is the most important rule that a president should have to keep this world in good hands. They are going to be true to their words and always be correct. They will always do what they say. The president will help you with the true things he does.
Being president of the United states in my opinion, is probably the hardest responsibility to ever have. You have to make sure you do everything right and nothing goes left. There might also be a lot of pressure on you because your team is watching your every movie and you have to do what is right so you won't let your country down. I'm now going to discuss the characteristics, qualifications, and qualities of some presidents.
It is crucial for our president to have had certain experiences before being elected to take office. I believe one of the most important experiences to have is prior background in government. This will allow for a better understanding of what the job will be like as you have already experienced what a tremendous responsibility it is to lead and represent other people. Another important experience I believe you must have is some background in foreign affairs. This is important in my opinion because our relations with other countries seem to be vital in keeping us, the citizens, safe and secure here in America. Our relationships with other countries are also important because of bussiness we do with them. For instance, we would want to remain
First off a president must have knowledge about the government. By this I mean they must know how to run a country. If they were a governor, they would know how to run a state. They are perfect candidates to run the country. However, if they get enough votes to run with no political knowledge, then they should not be allowed to run. I think that there must be a minimum limit of how many years you must have ran as some political leader. A president must also be smart with their power. They cannot go around bombing every country that causes us issues. As well, they must not make decisions without thinking it thorough. For example, America went off a hunch that Iraq had a weapon of mass destruction and invaded them. As it turns out, they did not. However, they had just started a war. The president should have said," Look, that is just a gut feeling. It might be a hoax." However, we invaded a random country that did nothing wrong.
Presidents are very important to the country, but the 3 most important requirement to become a president of the United States include, being the age of 35, a natural born citizen and a resident within the United States for 14 years. When looking at the American history today and trying to figure out the best one, it is important to look at individual traits that make a good president. For example, some presidents were loved by the public but barely made any accomplishment in the office while on the other hand some presidents made massive accomplishments for the economy and the country but were overlooked with disregard. The five important traits for a good president are Intelligence/ wisdom, honesty, leadership quality, respecting and hard working. Intelligence also known as wisdom means having the quality of experience, knowledge, and good judgment to make great decisions.

What makes a president great? A great president must be well educated, they must also be able to deal with a crisis, they should also have to pass a test in order to show that they are ready to be a president. They must have great expectations for our country just like Ronald Reagan. They should also be good for our economy. An example of that would be to cut taxes down for the people, or increasing the spending on the military.
