1. EXT - MONTAGE ORPHANAGE - NIGHT (1936)
It’s a cool and rainy autumn night, a woman drops a baby off in front of the orphanage. Almost immediately the baby begins to cry and the woman runs off. The orphanage doors open and the baby is taken inside.
2. INT - LIVING ROOM - DAY (1948)
A little girl sits on the windowsill looking at the passer-bys living their lives. A sad look plagues the girl’s face, as she gets up to leave. The only sound in the house was the buzz of newscasters on the television. The girl walks in front of the tv set and listens to the newest headline ‘Truman ends racial segregation in military’ as Ms. Vinette, the orphanage owner, rushes in and turns the television off startling the young girl.
Ms. Vinette
“You shouldn’t

Vinette it’s only the news, this is what’s going on in our world today and there’s nothing you can do to hide it from me.”
Ms.Vinette walks off as the little girl lay on the couch and falls asleep.
3. INT - LIVING ROOM - EVENING (1948)
Three children come running into the living room playfully and wake up Lila. She looks startled as if she had been asleep for hours when it had only been two hours. Lila gets up yawning and chases the three kids around the living room. As Lila caught the children Ms. Vinette comes in.
Ms. Vinette
“Lila go get the children from upstairs, dinner’s ready.”
Lila
“Yes Ms. Vinette”
The three children race up the stairs in front of Lila, running down the hall yelling about dinner. Bedroom doors open and a rush of children sweeps through the hallway to the dining room. When she walked downstairs, Ms. Vinette pulled her aside into the orphanage office.
Ms. VInette
“Lila, i might have found an adoptive family for you. You’ll be able to meet them tomorrow after your studies, and we’ll work out the adoption from there.”
Lila
“Miss are you sure they’ll want to keep me?”
Ms. Vinette
“Lila you have nothing to be worried about, you’re a smart and witty young girl, you will be just
Coming from a lonely and abusive home Mary had to find happiness outside of her house. Her mom made a friend from their church and she happened to have a three month year old baby. Mary always occupied the Richardson’s by helping with baby Alyssa, while also distracting herself from reality. Meeting the Richardson’s ended up being Mary’s worst nightmare. One night the Richardson’s went out and asked Mary and her mother to watch Alyssa.

He feels Yanagi’s pain through the connection but he does not draw attention to it. To be in the heat of a powerplay game such as the one boiling over in Konoha right now is a moment of extreme delicacy and ruthlessness; attachments are withheld, persons numbed down. The rampant mentality is this: eliminate those who are likely to get in one’s way, even if they are friends, or valuable allies. Nobody who lived through the Warring States Era would be unfamiliar with this tenet: do what must be done. And if Tobirama was forced to choose among the Yamanaka twins, he would keep Yanagi alive, simply because she is now the more valuable of the two, even though Yanagi herself and most definitely, not Osamu, would admit it. For to dabble in politics is to know who has value, worth and utility, and who do not.
The Vietnam War started on the 1st November 1955, however full U.S military involvement was not until over ten years later in 1965 following the Gulf of Tonkin incident in which a U.S Destroyer was reportedly fired upon by North Vietnamese forces. Once again, as with the Korean War five years previous, the North part of the country was the Communists and the South part was the Capitalists. The Vietnam War was a lot more forthcoming than the Korean War, given the ten year period in which military advisers resided in Vietnam before the outbreak. Despite this build up the interest in Vietnam by war correspondents was at a minimal level. It is reported that even in 1963, just two years prior to the full involvement of the U.S military, there were only enough full-time correspondents to fill a table at a restaurant . The lack of media personnel in the country until 1965 shows that despite the indications shown in Korea for the USA to protect their interests, there is not much pull unless there is a full military involvement. The number of correspondents around in Vietnam before 1965 was at a measly eight. However, signifying the size of the war, the peak number in March 1968 hit 645 correspondents in Vietnam . Amongst this number saw a large quantity of female correspondents make their way to Vietnam. In all 467 women were accredited to being correspondents during the war, the most ever in any war . This may have been as a result of the

The Vietnam war was a very hard and emotional time for many people. From the vietnamese to the u.s., the vietnam war was a tradgedy. People said that the vietnam war had been the longest lasting battle that took place in the cold war. The whole thing started because the vietnamese wasnted to have their independence. They no longer wanted to be under the control of france. France did not want to give up the land that they had ruled for years. France was getting supplies and goods from vietnam so they didnt want to give it up so they fought for it. Ho Chi Minh was vietnams president as you can say he was in control of north vietnam. He wanted vietnam to be a communist country much like the soviet union.
The draft of the Vietnam War led to the ratification of the twenty-sixth Amendment of the Constitution. In order to have a sufficient army, Congress initiated a draft in the form of a lottery to force young men between the ages of 18 through 26 to go into the military. Many people protested against the draft and draft dodgers escaped from military service. As a result of the draft, teenagers wanted voting power during the war so they could have an influence on who became the commander-in-chief and other political affairs. To calm the protest, the Voting Rights Acts was amended to allow eighteen years olds to vote. The amendments were then deemed unconstitutional in the court case Oregon v. Mitchell which created a need for an amendment to the
“North Vietnam cannot defeat or humiliate the United States. Only Americans can do that.” I bet you can guess that whoever said this quote was very anti-war. That person is Richard Nixon, thirty-seventh president of the United States. Nixon was the president who ended the war, but which president had beliefs that war was necessary? Thirty-sixth president of the United States, Lyndon Baines Johnson was the accused main blame for starting the Vietnam War. The Vietnam War was probably the most controversial war that was ever fought as most people opposed the war and hated Johnson. The war was also very destructive and the facts prove it. The causes of war, the war itself, and the aftermath of the war are all major parts in telling the story of the Vietnam War.
"Well, we have twin girls, Ida and Deena. They're beautiful and healthy. And after rest and food, Fleur will be fine, too."
… Her father had been talking with the scroungy village men, and of course they had been talking about how one's better than the other. And how great their kids are and all that kind of stuff. Than they started to talk about their families and how their daughters are the best children. Than the topic came up that their daughters do a lot of back breaking work and how they play an important hole in their households. Thinking about what the men were saying one father named Benjamin wanted all the attention on him for once. He is usually one of those people who do not usually get a lot of attention. Then all of a sudden he had a great idea, “Finally, I will get all the attention on me.” He whispered to himself.
Imagine sitting in a helicopter that is taking to a battle ground were an estimated 2000 enemy troops are awaiting your arrival. You know you are heavily outnumbered but regardless you have a mission to complete. The lives of your subordinates sit in the brink as they are counting on your ability to make split second decisions, employ meticulously devised tactics, and give precise orders. These are the challenges Lieutenant General Harold “Hal” Moore faced on 14 Nov 1965 during the first battle of the Vietnam War

The Vietnam War and all that it entails has long symbolized the American cultural revolution of the 1960s and 1970s. It is popular among Hollywood and the music industry, but it is much more than pop culture. The War in Vietnam divided America to its core and helped to reshape the very fabric that makes us Americans from our political process to how civilians choose to react and support our soldiers, sailors and airmen. It has defined our Foreign Policy and even the steps politicians take in the campaign process and when elected the decisions they make in military strategy.

The Vietnam War started on November 1, 1955. 9,087,000 military personnel served on active duty during the Vietnam Era. Those that went into the war zone suffered, not only from wounds but also from a variety of jungle diseases and malnutrition. One of the few sources of clean water came from water purification tanks at Vietnamese refugee camps.Preventive medicine teams worked to control rodent and insect infestations, spray for malarial mosquitoes, and purify unclean water.
