Pitbull Violation Report

On 05/08/16 at 2:47pm, I was dispatched to 5064 Blue Meadow Court, on an injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog, owner known, animal confined. I arrived at the house and spoke to victim Xavier Holston-Sims. Mr. Holston-Sims stated that he was riding his bike from the corner store on Cleveland Ave, when a dog came out and bite him on his left leg. I took a victim statement from Mr. Holston-Sims stating those facts. I then want to 4975 Cleveland Ave and spoke to dog owner Lisha Entingh. Ms. Entingh stated that she was not outside when the incident happen, but that her friend was walking the dog on a leash in her yard when the dog pulled away and bite the victim. On 08/26/16 at 1:48pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was patrolling the 900 Block of Heyl Ave when I saw a black and white Chihuahua running loose with no known dog owner around. I followed the dog to 969 Heyl Ave where dog owner Donna Hanes open the door and let the dog inside. Ms. Hanes stated that the dog must have gotten loose when it was in the back yard. I asked Ms. Hanes if her dog was current on dog license and vaccinations, Ms. Hanes stated he was not. I issued Ms. Hanes violations for failure to license and failure to vaccinate her dog name Tito.

On 05/29/16 at 8:00pm, I was dispatched to 2142 Balford Square East on injury-possible dangers or vicious dog and owner surrender. I arrived at the house and spoke to dog owner Delane Murrell Jr. Mr. Murrell stated that his son was standing in the kitchen when their dog came in the house from the back yard and attacked his son. Mr. Murrell wrote out a statement of facts in regards to the incident. Mr. Murrell also stated that he wanted to surrender the dog. I took pictures of the injuries to Qimari Brown. Qimari has puncture wounds to his right thigh and to the right side of back. Mr. Murrell was unable to show proof of dog license. On 05/08/18, at approximately 10:56am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to 4514 Starrett Court on a dangerous or vicious dog investigation (dog owner owner's address). I arrived on scene at approximately 11:25am. I met with victim Syed Naque, who stated he was outside his resident when a medium size dog (black) came up from behind him and bit him on his right thigh. Mr. Naque stated the dog continue to come at him in a aggressive manner even after he went inside the house, the dog would charged the side door. A next door neighbor had to get the dog to leave the area. Mr. Naque stated the dog owner did come over to apologize in regards to the incident. I explained Mr. Naque

On 09/11/16 at 5:57pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 841 Crevis Lane on a possible nuisance dog; dog still at large, threat to safety. I arrived at the location and spoke to complainant John Haywood. Mr. Haywood stated that he was going to his vehicle to put his daughter car set in when the neighbor’s dog came from behind him and started growling and barking at him. Mr. Haywood ran into the garage to get away. He contacted Franklin County Animal Care and Control due to the dog being previously designated dangerous. Mr. Haywood recorded the dog loose near his vehicle. I advised Mr. Haywood if he know if the dog was still loose, Mr. Haywood was unsure. I advised him I will need to check with the dog owners to make sure the dog has return home and I will return to talk to him.

On 07/14/16 at 7:07pm, I was dispatched to 1494 Cypresswood Court on a dog at large patrol only. I was arrived at the location and was flagged down by the complainant. The complainant stated the dog was running loose near Dublin Granville Road, her and her husband chase the dog in this general area to prevent the dog from getting hit by a car. The dog was in the backyard of 1494 Cypresswood Court. I enter the backyard and was able to place a leash on the dog. I place the dog in my van. Dog owner Heather Davis reclaimed the dog on 07/15/2016. Ms. Davis was unable to show proof of dog license and vaccinations. I issued Ms. Davis violations for failure to license, failure to vaccinate and failure to control.

On 10/03/17, at approximately 7:35am, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to the area of 5232 Freedom Ridge Drive on a dog at large, patrol only. I arrived in the area and saw a pit bull (brown/white) matching the description of the dog running loose at the above listed address. I stopped my vehicle and proceeded to check the address where the dog was at. The pit bull was tied up at that location. At that moment a unknown female came outside and headed towards her car. I pulled up and asked if the pit bull belong to her. She stated that her son who resides at that location is holding the pit bull for a friend, but that the friend left without indicating what to do with the pit

On 11/22/16, at 4:02pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to the 600 block of Bedford Ave on dog at large patrol only. I arrived in the area and saw two dogs, one a small mix breed black and white and a tan and white pit bull, in the front of 681 Bedford Ave. I exited my vehicle and slowly approached the house. I knocked on the dog. Dog owner Robin Holmes-Muhammad answered the door. I asked if the two dogs on her porch belong to her, she stated that they did. I advised Ms. Holmes-Muhammad that we received a complaint that the dogs were running loose. Ms. Holmes-Muhammad apologized and took both dogs inside the house. Ms. Holmes-Muhammad stated that the tan/white pit bull does not really belong to her it was on her front porch

On 10/21/2017, Deputy Warden W. Jones with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) investigated an injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog incident involving victim Linda Courson. Ms. Courson was walking her dog near 491 Townsend Ave when two Pit Bulls (Tan) came charging out of the above stated address and attack her dog. Ms. Courson sustained injuries during the incident from the two pit bulls knocking her over. Deputy Warden W. Jones collected a statement of facts from Ms. Couson. Deputy Warden W. Jones went to the above stated address and knocked on the door. He received no answer and left a door notice. Deputy Warden W. Jones requested a follow-up to the above stated address to talk to the dog owner and cite and designate

On 06/29/16 at 8:41pm, I was dispatched to 2706 Synder Court on a possible dangerous or vicious dog, owner known. I arrived at the location and spoke to Logan Liming and a female individual who was the victim’s Aunt. Mr. Liming and the female individual stated that the dog at 2704 Snyder Court was outside with a male minor on a leash. The dog got away from the minor and was running around the victim’s front yard. As the male minor was trying to capture the dog, the dog came towards victim Matthew Liming. Matthew Liming tried to back away from the dog, but was unable to get away and was bite/starch on his left forearm. Mr. Liming and the female individual held down the dog until the dog owner came out and got the dog. Mr. Liming wrote

On 09/03/16 at 5:15pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched to 3580 Whisper Creek Drive, on a dog on dog or cat attack, owner known. I arrived at the location and spoke to complainant Honora Wright. Ms. Wright stated that early that day, she was outside unloading her car. Ms. Wright dog was outside with her trying using the . Ms. Wright noticed two dogs unleashed near her house, she commanded her dog to go inside. As her dog was moving towards the house, a Mastiff and a Labrador mix came towards her dog. The Mastiff bit down on her dog towards the back of her dog’s neck. The Mastiff refused to let go until the dog owner came. The second dog only growled at Ms. Wright dog. Their dog intention was not to attack the other dog but to play with it. They stated the victim dog started the attacked and had their dog by the neck. Ms. Diverlbliss husband was hitting the victim dog with his crutches to get the dog to let go of his dog. Mr. Divelbliss stated that Mr. Todd was unable to get his dog to let go of his and was trying to open his dog mouth with his hands resulting in his injuries. The dogs were eventually separated. Ms. Diberlbliss was unable to show proof of a dog license or vaccinations. I confirmed with Fairfield County Deputy Sheriff J. Warner to determine if that was the story he was presented, he confirmed it was. Deputy Sheriff J. Warner also talked to the victim via phone advising me that the offending dog bite him. Deputy Sheriff J. Warner is a witness to Mr. Todd stating that the offending dog bite him. I issued Ms. Divelbliss violations for failure to license, failure to vaccinate and failure to control a dangerous dog. Ms. Divelbliss dog name Holly was designated dangerous. I went to Grant Hospital to talk and take pictures of Mr. Todd injuries. Mr. Todd had visible injuries to his right and left hand front and back, and an injury to his right leg in the vicinity of his knee. I took pictures

On 09/11/2017 at approximately 12:55pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched 1595 Dewberry Road on a dog at large, no known owner. I arrived at the location and met with the complainant (Anthony). Anthony stated that he came outside and there was a pit bull (brown/white) in his yard. Anthony stated he does know where the pit bull lives. I placed a leash on the pit bull and placed her in my vehicle. The pit bull had no identifying tags to indicate ownership. I transported the pit bull to FCACC. Dog owner Robert McMaster redeemed the pit bull name Ruby on 09/12/17. Mr. McMaster did not show proof that Ruby was current on dog license or vaccinations. On 03/09/18 at approximately 4:54pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian with Franklin County Animal Care and Control (FCACC) was dispatched to 74 Whitethrone Ave on a injury-possible dangerous or vicious dog, owner known. I arrived on scene at approximately 5:14pm, I met with the mother (Courtney Collins) of victim ( Jacob Murray). Ms. Collins stated the incident occurred on 03/08/18 at approximately 4:00pm. Her son Jacob was at the next door neighbors house (68 Whitethorne Ave) playing with his friend. Ms. Collins than asked Jacob to explain what happened. Jacob stated that a pit bull (black/white) got loose from his friends house and proceeded to chase him. Jacob tried to get away but the pit bull bite him. Jacob sustained injuries to his
