As a former resident of Pine Mountain Club for over 20 years and regular visitor to Camp Scheideck for over 30, I think that its wrong that the U.S. Forest Service has decided to whore out this beautiful place. The fact that this was a once a fee free, and first come – first serve campground were some of the facts that made this place so special. This is what set this place aside from the other over cluttered and over priced campgrounds throughout this state. This hide away was one of the few places left in the central/southern California region where one could truly enjoy themselves. Even in the past decade with the introduction of the Forest Adventure Pass which costed only $5.00, one could still enjoy this spot. Now the Parks Management
