This article focuses on prospective college students and their parents warning them about the dangers of college. This is a well-organized article with perfect language usage. Unfortunately it lacks enough hard evidence to make a truly great article but it accomplishes the main goal of the paper. Credibility, the information Cappelli does present makes sense for his argument, as it is clear and to the point. His credibility as a writer is a mystery as Cappelli never states why he is writing this or who he is as a writer. But he seems to have a great concern for college students, and he wants to help. The area that is lacking the most is his quality and amount of information. As none of his information is cited and can be considered invalid, because there is no way to look up and confirm that Cappelli’s information is correct which really hurts the quality. Also there were multiple occasions where it felt like the article was lacking important information or where Cappelli could have backed up what he said by supplying facts and citing the source. Cappelli also failed to cite some of the facts he did have, leading you to question the validity of the information provided. Also the language, that Cappelli uses is perfect for this article, as his choice of words is precise thoughtful. The words he chose made it an easy read for readers of all levels. Cappelli masterfully set up a very persuasive piece. As Cappelli urges students and parents to consider all of the available information before making a decision. Overall the language used is very appropriate as it appeals to the students and parents, Cappelli’s language also makes this a very interesting
