Traffic and Congestion: To mitigate and prevent the risk of traffic and congestion surrounding the event venue, organisers of the Perth Royal Show strongly encourages attendees to take public transport, particularly trains. In order to accommodate the large number of people expected to take public transport and prevent these services from becoming overwhelmed additional trains on the Fremantle Line and special designated trains direct to the Showgrounds station were implemented by Transperth (“Getting to the Show, 2015). There were also additional Transperth transit officers present at both Perth train station and the showgrounds station to direct crowds to the correct trains and ensure the calm and efficient flow of patrons through the transport service. Bad Weather: As the event runs from late-September to early-October, this is a time of year where bad weather such as rain is expected. In such instances the event usually goes ahead, but outdoor activities such as some of the rides may be closed for safety. In the event of a very severe storm, the event would likely be postponed in order to ensure the safety of everyone involved. The Royal Show further reduces the risk of incidents turning into an emergency, or ensuring that emergencies are handled quickly and efficiently by having any emergency hotline where patrons are able to report an emergency with signs such as in IMAGE NUMBER clearly displayed throughout the venue to ensure all attendees are aware of this hotline. In such a large venue it is difficult to monitor every possible incident so this allows the public to efficiently inform and assist event staff so correct action can be
