If you read my last article, then you know that murals for kids rooms are losing favor in the decorating world. This is partly due to the fact that hiring a talented muralist is expensive and the economy does not support such luxury. Another reason is that the modern child is a bit more sophisticated than they were 15 to 20 years ago. Just because custom painted murals are no longer possible doesn't mean that children don't like lots of color. They are just less likely to want it in the form of cartoon characters. Instead of painting cartoons and intricate murals on your children's walls, here are some decorating tips that the modern child will enjoy. Instead, you can change the appearance of a small bathroom by removing certain items and adding others. If you have not updated the accessories in your bathroom in years or you have had the same wall color, it's time to update the bathroom! Window Treatments Window treatments in a small room make a big impact. Replacing your window treatments with new ones instantly updates the appearance in your small bathroom. Consider changing the type of window treatment from what you currently have in the bathroom-for example, if you have curtains you may wish to install blinds or shades. Paint Painting the walls in a small bathroom a different color than what is currently on them makes a dramatic statement in the room. When selecting paint for small rooms, take into account that semi-gloss paint reflects light and creates the illusion of a large room as well as light colors. Painting the walls, a bright bold color in the room works well but dark colors create a dreary atmosphere. Shower Curtain If your small bathroom is not a half bath (meaning no shower or bathtub), replacing the shower curtain allows you to incorporate any decorating style you wish in the bathroom without spending a large amount of money. Hanging an elegant shower curtain creates an elegant appearance in the room compared to hanging a bold, bright shower curtain, which may create a fun upbeat appearance in the bathroom. Allow your shower curtain to act at a large decorating accessory. Remove Clutter Having too many accessories in a small room creates a cluttered appearance and feel to the room. Instead of creating clutter, remove it. Select a small variety of accessories you absolutely need in your bathroom such as a toothbrush holder, soap dispenser, framed artwork for the walls, a towel bar and a plant. Removing clutter and unnecessary items is the easiest way to change the appearance in any room and does not cost any money.
“Legal or not, as graffiti seeps into the fabric of neighborhoods, it becomes a natural part of everyday life in the city” (The Guardian). There is graffiti everywhere nowadays and the government takes down the ones that do not follow their expectations. Governments should allow people to do graffiti because people use graffiti to express themselves and their art styles.
Did you know that if your child doesn't go to preschool your child is 25 percent more likely to drop out of school, 40 percent more likely to become a teen parent, and 70 percent more likely to be arrested for a violent crime? My aunt did not go to preschool therefore, she had to be held back in kindergarten twice because it was her first time being in a school environment, and so she didn’t know how to act or how to pay attention at the age 5, that’s just insane. She also became a teen parent, causing her to drop out of school at the age 17 so that she had to take care of her baby. All children should be required to go to preschool because it helps with brain development, child behavior development, and it can be cheaper (Five Surprising Facts
Images are all around us. Images are timeless and they can tell stories of times that have been long forgotten. When a graphic element is used in a persuasive essay, it takes the paper from being simply words that form a person’s thoughts, to a paper that has true emotions; it is something that makes an argument stronger. Images can be used to elevate what the writer is trying to convey to their reader, with the hopes of grabbing the reader’s attention and pushing them to have a deeper connection to the issue that the paper is about. Furthermore, graphic images can pull emotion out of the reader so that the reader feels closer to the subject. However, graphic images are not only pictures of people or places, in some cases, especially in academic

Living in a family with a dog, I can tell we’re not adopting him just because of interest. I love my dog. We adopted him when I was a kid and treat him as one of our family members. I believe he helps me be the person who can express my love to my parents better and live healthier.
A Persuasive Essay on the Problem of the Patriarchal Physician and Women’s Illnesses in “The Yellow Wallpaper” by Charlotte Perkins Gilman Gilman’s “The Yellow Wallpaper” defines the patriarchal culture of the 1890s, which dictates the domineering power of men in relation to women’s illnesses. The main female character in this story is a woman that must live under the patriarchal control of her husband, John. John is a physician and he has diagnosed his wife as being too ill to lave the home. In this way, the wife must take medications and get exercise under the strict regulations of John’s medical advice: “So I take phosphites or phosphates--whichever it is, and tonics, and journeys, and air, and exercise, and am absolutely forbidden to
It all started when my brother was carved. It was so dreadful and he looked so ugly. He said the humans took his insides and threw it out into a sort off round thingy like those things that have an plastic bag into the round thingy. And my brother said it was called an bin. It sounded so weird they should call it the round thingy with the crumbly bag thingy inside it. That is a long name so i thought naming it trwtcbtii it stands for the round thingy with the crumbly bag inside it. And then even his seeds were taken out. And i don’t want to be carved like my brother. So i talked to my brother for my plan and he helped me a bit to change it too more advanced stuff he knew. My plan is that i avoid the
Swing Children should have at least two positions in which the baby can recline comfortably. Newborns should be able to lie down on the seat while the older baby can sit up a little higher. After reading Children Need to Play, Not Compete by Jessica Statsky I thought she brought up some very valid points. I do think that this is a topic that should be scrutinized. I have a different view of the subject. I think that competition can be physically, and psychologically harmful if left unchecked by "abusive/uncaring" adults. I do think that with the right, caring and team work fostering environment competition can fostered without harmful effects, and can lead to learning lifelong skills that can bring emotional joy.
Since the birth of graffiti in the 1960’s many people were or are either thrown in jail, have to pay a high fine in graffiti damages or are either asked to do graffiti in many museums and art galleries because owners like the art they see and want others to see it too. Graffiti has been around for some time now, most people and the police just see it as a form of destruction and not art they should not just see it as something that is good or evil because these artists are expressing themselves through this art and trying to spread a message. The United States and the U.K need to accept the art and nature or meaning behind this graffiti because it is a way for people to do good things other than rob or go to jail it is also a way for people to get their message out and have others hear them or see them in an artistic way.
Many people will argue that money and esteem is earned from hard work and determination. However, that’s not the case for graphic designers. Graphic design is a job that requires no effort or talent, and is the easiest and fastest way to earn money and esteem. Graphic design is the best job because it can be easily learned, it gives certain privileges, and because it supplies a good amount of money.
For the beddings, you can apply the one that matches with the overall theme of the room. Beggining ones education young, prepares one for the future. Early education has been proven to be beneficial in many aspects throughout life. Children may dread the idea of starting early but in the long run starting early can make a significant difference. Also some may even be ahead of his/her peers in the following years. Early childhood education should be a requirement due to the ability it has to help gain early skills, necessary positive behaviors, and increased brain development.
I personally am against unsanctioned graffiti on public land and structures. Permanently defacing public property through damage of force or with paint for personal pleasure or gain is simply unacceptable in my opinion. Graffiti on buildings can be removed in ways as simple as repainting over it or as difficult as having to rebuild or resurface. But graffiti or "tagging"(tagging seems to have become a term that glorifies this practice) on a natural landscape is simply an atrocity of a whole new level. My reason being that i frequent the outdoors , be it hiking, camping, or trailing, and seeing graffiti in nature is aggravating and unjustifiable. Graffiti "artists" justify these actions by saying that it is an expression of their inner-self.
Most people would agree that music and art programs in schools have a huge impact on students not only academically, but in just about every aspect of their lives. Studies have shown that students who are involved in music and art programs have an overall higher IQ and show signs of many other academic benefits. Participating in such programs also allow students the opportunity to express themselves artistically and show the world their perhaps otherwise hidden potential. We all know how fun it can be to show the world your unexpected abilities, and what better way to show those off than the place where we spend most of our day-to-day lives? Unfortunately, even with all these obvious benefits, when the school budget is short, the first
