Creation or Evolution
The debate between creation and evolution has been going on for many years. On the surface it seems like the only thing being debated is which one actually happened and which is false. But there is more to these beliefs. Both affect or lives and the way we live. This is also what is being debated. How you value life is extremely important as I will show. We need to be careful what we choose to believe because it will affect our lives.
First let us look at how you view your life when you believe in evolution. According to evolution there was nothing. Then there was an explosion, and that explosion created life. A glob of goo turned into sea life, and after millions of years came man. This type of past does not make you

If all we are is just an animal then it is no great loss if you remove some people in your path of success. We shouldn't be punished for anything we do, we certainly don't do so for the animals. We are the way we are. There is no use of courts, judges, or laws. Even cannibalism is okay because that is practiced in the wild.
Now let us look at how you view your life with creationism. With creation there is a completely opposite point of view. Your life has value and a purpose. When God created man he created him in His own image. We were made a little lower than the angels. We were put above and in charge of the animals. And if God takes special care over the animals, he must certainly cares deeply for us. We were created by Him as the peak of His creation. We are very special and are not just some chance mutation that gives no meaning to life.
But along with this comes something else. Just because we are special doesn't mean we can do anything we want to. There is a punishment for wrong choices we have made. We get away with nothing. Unless we have our sins washed away we will enter eternal punishment when we
Since the beginning of the human race there has been a lingering question as to the origins of man and how all living things acquired their characteristics. The two main theories that arose over time were Creationism and Evolution, both of which provided very distinct answers to this question. Creationism based its answer on the idea of a supernatural power or being that created the entire universe, man and the numerous other organisms that live within it. While, Evolution theorizes that all living things have the potential to change and grow over time into something new and different. So in other words, one theory suggests that humans and all the organisms on Earth are the result of divine design, while the other indicates that they
When Charles Darwin introduced the theory of evolution in his book, On the Origin of Species, a long, centuries-long debate would be sparked between those believing in creationism and those supporting in evolution. Today, the concept of evolution remains a highly argued topic due to differing opinions due to religion, personal belief, or any other of the myriad of reasons. Due to overwhelming evidence supporting evolution in humans and the benefits to students by learning about it, it is a necessity to teach human evolution in school in order to educate the younger generations.
Today many scientists would have people to believe that evolution is the only reasonable explanation of the universe. Scientists, like Stephen Hawking, claim that they have proved that evolution is the correct answer to the origins of life and the universe, yet evolution is still a theory. This problem occurs because evolution is not the only answer. In fact, the creation theory offers a more feasible answer to the origins of the universe than the evolution theory does. Creation has the backings of the Bible, an extraordinarily credible book; where evolution provides a theory with many holes in it.
Where do we come from? The creation of the world has been told through many different stories, and from a variety of religions across the world. The argument between evolution and creation has been debated back and forth for years. So how do we know which claim is correct? Has all life evolved from simple bacteria to all the species that appear today, or did life on earth begin with God's creation of Adam from dust and his partner Eve from adam’s rib bone. As a child I grew up attending church every Sunday with my grandparents, attending bible school, and taught the ways of the Lord. I wouldn’t know any different until my eyes were opened in biology class where the theory of Evolution is justified. There are different explanations to
between Good and Evil. The concept behind this struggle is that everything in the world
I hope that I have further informed you on this huge worldwide argument on two different popular beliefs. There are many different interpretations of Creationism and Evolution. Now you can take your side of this major
Henry Morris, Ph.D., of the Institute for Creation Research, proclaimed that “the lack of a case for evolution is clear from the fact that no one has ever seen it happen. If it were a real process, evolution should still be occurring, and there should be many "transitional" forms that we could observe. What we see instead, of course, is an array of distinct "kinds" of plants and animals with many varieties within each kind, but with very clear and -- apparently -- unbridgeable gaps between the kinds.” But if evolution is not taking place and there are unbridgeable gaps, how could Morris explain what happens when two species, let’s say humans, breed. The DNA from two individuals combines and traits from both parents will be present in the offspring.
Evolutionists think that life as we know it all started from single celled bacteria, then evolved into the complex organisms that have seemingly changed over time through a process known as evolution, but they do not change so much over time that they become a completely different organism than what they were
Since the dawn of time, man has believed that there is a higher power, an all-powerful, all-knowing being that controls everything. Christians refer to this being as God, and believe that He is orderly, loving, and rational. They also believe that He created the modern world and everything in it. All that they believe is true. However, many dislike this belief because God holds them responsible for their actions. Therefore they have turned to the false belief of evolution, which claims that there is no Creator and that the world came into being through natural processes. It says that life came into being through spontaneous generation and “evolved” from so-called simple invertebrate organisms into fish, which evolved into amphibians, which evolved into reptiles, which evolved into birds, which evolved into mammals,
Everyone has their own certain opinions on things in life. Most people today are debating on whether or not man came from ape. I personally don’t believe in evolution. If God says he created man, then that's what happened. If you look at an apes foot, you'll find that it looks nothing like a human foot. Not a lot is the same. And also, I say that if ape turned into man, why are there still apes today?
Evolutionists believe that an atom was sitting somewhere and exploded by chance. Once the atom exploded, the planets and everything on them formed all from this one atom. A unanswerable question that Evolutionists face is, what did the atom originate from? Everything must come from something and have a creator. Evolutionists also tend to believe that the earth is millions of years old. God made everything to its mature state. (Jackson) This explains why fossils are testing older then what they actually are. This is another reason why Christians also believe that Earth is young and not
The debate between creation and evolution has been around for a long time. For much of it, it has presented a choice between the two. Some claim that you either believe in God or evolution, not both. Others, that you have to choose young earth creationism simply because theistic evolution is not a viable option. Still more present young earth creationism as a naive understanding of both the Bible and science. However, since each position has evidence in support of it and against it, it is in no way true that any of them present us with an undeniable position of definite accuracy. Furthermore, the idea that there is only a choice between creation and evolution is false. Indeed, there are more positions than even creationism and theistic
Evolution has been debated for many years. Most scientists assume evolution to be true, but it is not officially proven. Evolution is known as “fact and theory,” because it is a fact that organisms have changed over time, but the mechanism that changes those organisms is uncertain. One of the major debates regarding evolution is the belief in creationism. Creationists believe that the Universe and organisms on Earth were all created by a divine power. There are also some theories in which creationism and evolution coexist. One idea is that the divine being who created the world used evolution as a method. Another idea is that science and religion are actually the same thing and religion explains the unknown parts of science. For example, science says that the world couldn’t have been created in seven days, but one of God’s days may not be the same length
For decades, evolution and creationism have been a topic of a broader debate between science and religion. As a product of twelve years of Catholic school education, my knowledge of evolution is biased. One teacher, specifically, refused to teach the concept of evolution because it conflicted with her personal beliefs as a practicing nun. My biology teacher, however, taught evolution through multiple perspectives. I am a faith-filled individual with a scientific mind. There is too much scientific evidence backing evolution to disregard the concept altogether, yet I believe in the role of a higher being on creation. In regards to human evolution, I believe that our physical makeup has evolved from earlier life form, while our souls were
Despite what mankind would like to believe, humans are animals. As multi-celled organisms, we consume other organic matter, change the land for own uses as a beaver would build a dam, and as other mammals, we are all fed breast milk from our mothers when we were young. Yet there is this disconnection and alienation of the human race towards other species. Moreover, through fear of taking action, the convenience provided to us if we simply choose to ignore the environment, and the alienation of other species that are endangered by our actions, the hostile and uncaring attitude of humans towards nature is the core reason for many of the problems in our environment today.
