Do you really think that The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie when the whole conflict is about Christmas? Some people think this movie is either a Halloween or Christmas movie. I think that it’s a Christmas movie because all of the evidence leads in the direction of Christmas. The first reason why I think that this is a Christmas movie is because the movie is all about how Jack Skellington, the pumpkin king has a huge obsession with Christmas. Jack wants everyone to understand the joy that Christmas brings like opening presents and decorating trees. Jack is obsessed with Christmas because he is tired of being the pumpkin king of Halloween Town and he is tired of being his same old self, so he wants to take over the holiday Christmas. That’s the first reason why the Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie. …show more content…
Zero has a shiny red nose just like Rudolph. The night that Halloween Town was celebrating Christmas it became really foggy and Jack had planned to deliver presents in Christmas Town. Jack came up with a plan to have Zero guide the sleigh through the fog. In the movie Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer, Rudolph guides the the sleigh because of his shiny red nose but in the Nightmare Before Christmas, Zero guides the sleigh. That’s the second reason why the Nightmare Before Christmas is more of a Christmas movie. The third reason why I think that this is a Christmas movie is because Jack Skellington is friendly. All that Jack wants to do is bring Christmas joy to Halloween Town. Jack also released Santa from Oggie Boogie so he can go and save Christmas after he felt very bad for ruining it. In the end Jack embraces that he’s pumpkin king and everyone at the end of the movie understands the meaning of Christmas. That’s the third reason why The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas
Firstly, A Christmas Story changes the style of the framed narrative. In the story, Ralph Parker is looking back on his childhood after a woman expresses her opinion on “disarming the toy industry.” However, the movie opens inside Ralph’s childhood with an adult Ralph as the narrator. This change does not take away from the story, though. It allows the audience to be put right into the action of the story rather than making the audience wait for something to happen that causes the narrator to look back on their life.
This show can be seen on TV every Christmas season. Then Ron Howard takes this short film and draws it out to be a two and a half-hour long movie. The worst aspect of the movie is that it makes a mockery of Seuss's main message: “Christmas doesn't come from a store.” This movie is all about selling, from those furry talking Grinch dolls to endless fast-food tie-ins.
Some people think The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Christmas movie, some think it’s a Halloween movie. I think The Nightmare Before Christmas is a Halloween movie because all the major characters are from Halloweentown. Such as Jack Skellington, Sally, Dr. Finklestein, Oogie Boogie, the Mayor, and Zero.
Elf (2003) is a Christmas movie and with saying that, people expect to see Christmas decorations, lights, music, and costumes to make the audience feel like it really is Christmas. In this scene of the film, you notice that it takes place in the mall and is completely decorated with Christmas decorations everywhere. Buddy has on his signature elf costume and the fake Santa has on a traditional Santa outfit. The scene itself screams Christmas and no one can argue that.
The Nightmare before Christmas had a couple of issues that needed to be address before improving the takeover of Christmas. There are four serious issues that occurred in order of importance. Firstly, Jack had no clear vision. What vision he did have, he was incapable of communicating it clearly. When Jack tried to explain ``Jolly`` his team was unsure of the definition and they went back to their original core values by creating ghoulish toys for Christmas.
How the Grinch Stole Christmas!!In the movie by Dr. Seuss, the Grinch is portrayed as the villain. Why? Because he's a nasty, coldhearted creature that hates Christmas. But there is a reason for loathing the Christmas season. The Grinch plots to steal the joy and cheer of Christmas time away from the Whos in Who-ville.
To begin, his hatred of Christmas extends from his materialistic view of Christmas. Evidently, the Grinch explains his specific hatred for the noise that comes associated with the gifts within his monologue. Perhaps, the Grinch does not hate Christmas as a whole but only the materialistic aspects of it.
He knew he was good at his job and wanted to something more, until he came across Christmas town. Jack loved the idea of Christmas and everything about it, so much that he spent day and night doing research about it. As a matter of fact, he became so confidence in himself, he thought that he could create a better Christmas than Santa Claus. Jack believed he could be the new Santa Claus until it was Christmas night and everyone became frightened by the toys he delivered; which lead to the military shooting him out of the sky. If Jack was pleased with how wonderful he was at creating Halloween and not have gotten so cocky, he would not have had to deal with the failure he faced with almost ruining
The Grinch presents many issues in the movie. The major one is that he hates Christmas and everything it has to do with it. He sits on top of his mountain and listens to all the noises that occurs when Christmas comes that he cannot stand. When the kids open their presents on Christmas morning and they start playing with them it annoys him. From the drums, trumpets, loud and obnoxious sounds
He dislikes the thought of Christmas and the joyfulness spread along that day. The Grinch had a plan to eliminate Christmas from Who-ville to please his own needs. A young girl who witnessed the Grinch take part in this crime was known
Halloween is the point at which you cut Jack o' Lanterns out of pumpkins, design the house with a ghoulish topic, parties, and go trap or treating way to entryway wearing ensembles. Halloween is praised by both kids and grown-ups. Kids spruce up in
First and foremost, The character of Christmas is such a great character because it give us something like the yin and the yang. As an example, Christmas was a good guy in the community, but he was a racist person and also the irony of this character is that his name has nothing linked to the real Christmas eve.
Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas portrays a more kid-friendly aspect of Romanticism. The imagination behind this movie is remarkable and paints unfamiliar pictures but since it is animated it takes away from it being so scary to more funny. A good portion of the movie is expressed in music and the lyrics to the songs are eye-opening to say the least. When Jack leaves his Halloween
Because Jack was so fascinated with Christmas, he decided to hold his own. With that in mind, he had people go and kidnap Santa. This made everything go downhill from there. The Halloween Town pedestrians made toys that were not fit for children. These toys came alive and attacked innocent children that Jack handed them out to.
My next reason is because Jack saves Santa Clause ( Sandy Clause) from Oogie Boogie and saves Christmas. Even though Jack wouldn't have to save Santa or Christmas if the didn't order his kidnap and interfere with the holiday, it is still important. Since Jack saves Santa from Oogie Boogie, it allows Santa to set everything right in Christmas town with his joy and delivers the correct presents to the correct children. If it wasn't for Jack, Christmas would have been ruined and their would be a lot of sad kids and unhappy parents.
