I believe that I am a good candidate for scholarships because I have been working extremely hard throughout my high school career, even going as far as relieving myself from some extra-curricular activities so that I could continue focusing on putting my grades first. Unless I am okay with ending up at LSU, which I am most certainly not, scholarships are the only chance I have of going out of state to attend the college of my choice, which is Auburn. I knew that Auburn was the perfect school for me when I visited the campus for a tour. I feel that its student body size is just right for me, and I think that I would fit in perfectly with the general atmosphere that the campus gives off. However, becoming an Auburn Tiger will not be possible
During the civil war, both the northern and southern Homefront’s each had their own issues that involved the loyalty of the people and problems within the government. After initial setbacks, many northern civilians experienced an increase of wartime production. Throughout the war, iron production and coal mining reached their highest levels. Sales with merchant ships increased. During this time the railroads and the Erie Canal traffic rose over by half.
I, De’Ja Sibley, deserve the MoolahSPOT scholarship because I am hard working, consistent, and determined. When I complete high school in May 2017, I will attend Northwestern State University in Louisiana (NSU). I will major in Nursing and further my education after I achieve my four years of college. The MoolahSPOT scholarship will serve me tremendously when pursuing my goal becoming a great student at NSU.
I believe that I would be a very good candidate to receive a scholarship when attending Saginaw Valley State University. I work extremely hard in order to succeed in my classes. I like pushing myself to continue working hard in my classes in order to get the best grades that I am capable of. I have been a very successful student at Unionville-Sebewaing Area Highschool, and I plan on continuing my success through college. I have a good work ethic. I use my work ethic to do my work to the very best of my ability. I also work extremely hard in order to achieve my goals. My main goal is to be a successful student at Saginaw Valley State University. I want to work hard in order to have a successful and rewarding college career, and to also
I believe I should be selected as a Georgia Southern scholarship recipient because while I currently live in South Carolina, I was born in Georgia and I still like to call Georgia my home. I also have 3 younger siblings, which has lead to me having a higher level of responsibility and maturity than many of my peers. My family has also been placed in a difficult financial situation due to my father losing his job in the oil industry, last August. This lead my family to move from Oklahoma after he found a job in South Carolina.
Auburn is often referred to as the loveliest village on the plains, and for good reason. I have always felt at home when on campus. It fits my needs academically, socially, and financially. The opportunities provided to students at Auburn are endless. There are thousands of ways to get involved. The College of Engineering is nationally ranked, and so was the softball team. I have the tools to succeed at Auburn. What I lack in sheer intelligence is compensated by an internal drive to succeed and a willingness to go the extra mile to do so.
I believe that I am the best candidate for the Todd Hughes Memorial Scholarship because I have worked very hard during my last four years of high school and I am determined to be the very best person I can be, and accomplish my career goals. This Scholarship would be an incredible advantage to contribute in my college funds. My family’s economic challenges have affected my choices in my future plans. I will not be receiving any financial assistance from my parents, and I will be relying on my own work ethic and the scholarships I receive to assist in paying my tuition. Even though my family has these challenges I have always had dreams that of a higher education. This fall I will be attending Sam Houston State University. In doing so, I will
I realized from a very young age that hard work would always produce an exuberant reward. While growing up my parents gave me copious opportunities to earn money by doing chores and projects. Every time I earned money for taking out the trash or feeding my dog, my mother would lecture me to save it. I would never listen, and instead I would squander it on the first soda or chocolate bar that crossed my path. One of the most memorable moments in my lifetime was when I got my first job working at Subway®. It wasn’t the best job, but it made me feel self-sufficient. The weekend after I received my first paycheck, with the assistance of my mother, I went and opened a savings and checking account at our local bank. My mother expressed to me that it is important
Pursuing college has always been one of my biggest goals to achieve in life. After high school, I will higher my education by attending college. My ultimate goal will be to one day become a veterinarian. The love and compassion I have for animals plays a big role in choosing this course of study. Growing up on a ranch, I am exposed to animals such as horses, cows, dogs, chickens, and rabbits. Tending to the animals and keeping them in good health gives me the experience I need to see if the veterinarian study is fitting for myself. Furthermore, I plan to attend BYU-Idaho which offers a pre vet course that gives students who are seeking to become veterinarians the opportunity to intern at a vet
I have known Ms. Horton for the last 2 years in her position as a medical assistant at the urgent care center and I can truthfully state that Ms. Horton is a deserving candidate that you will be proud to have as an example of your ideal scholarship winner.
I got 99 problems and money is all of them. In other words, I don’t have the resources to pay for my college. I want to be able to pay for my college by myself. I don’t want my parents to be concerned about my college fees. Even though my parents work very hard, they have bills to pay, and feed my three siblings and myself. As a result, this doesn’t leave enough money for my parents. Sometimes, we just have enough money to buy food for ourselves and gas for our transportation. In addition,I work and I try to help my parents. Yet, some of that money goes into my saving for college. Still, it's not nearly enough to pay my first year tuition. Therefore, I’m applying for scholarship assistance in order for me to afford and obtain a higher
When I want something, I work hard to earn it. I believe I should receive this scholarship because of my drive for success and knowledge. I am a hardworking individual and I have a great thirst for knowledge. I am also a firm believer that knowledge is power. I want to gain the credentials that will back up my knowledge someday. I will do anything and everything I am able to put my mind to in order to remain successful. With an education, one can put his or her mind to anything he or she wants.
I am applying for this scholarship because i need the money for school. My mom do not have money to pay for me to go to college and i understand that but I am applying for every scholarship that i can to help pay for my college. I want to further my education to help my mom out but if I dont get any scholarships to help pay for college then I want be to attend a college this fall.
This is a question that has been on my mind since elementary school. Of course at that time, I never thought about it, in fact I use to wonder, “What does that mean, what do I want to be when I grow up”? All my teachers have asked me that now and then. If you asked me that question when I was in Kindergarten or second grade I would say a doctor, maybe a lawyer or even the president of the United States.
It would be an honor to be awarded this scholarship, because like many others I have worked hard and pushed myself for the place where I am at present day. It has always been my goal to be successful in life, to be able to be financially stable, put dinner on the table and provide not just for myself but for those who have provided for me. I want to be able to travel the world and experience as much as I can in my lifetime.
One of my academic goals is to get the best education possible at Allan Hancock College before I transfer. I will accomplish this by always paying attention to all my teachers and do all my work and most importantly make school my number one priority. Another academic goal that I have is to transfer to Cal Poly or Long Beach and obtain my Master’s degree in education. I also want to graduate with honor and with a 3.5 GPA or above. I decided that I wanted to be a teacher because I like helping people out and also I enjoy working with kids. I selected these goals because my economic background is not the great, most of the money that my family makes goes to the rent and daily expenses. We live in a small apartment and we are a family of five; we don’t usually go out and eat at restaurants only in special occasions.
