I hate to add to your plate, which I am sure is already full. I stepped into John’s office a moment ago to remind him that Mike Arabia’s 30 days are up tomorrow. He said that he needed to talk to you about it. The input I received from him was that Mike was working on a project, but that is now finished and he really doesn’t have anything to work on now. He then told me that Mike has caused problems with employees; apparently Mike told some employees that he will be making changes and it upset them. I haven’t had much contact with Mike, but he seems a reasonable and intelligent person. I believe this can all be worked out, but we will have to work on it. No one is going to walk in and know everything all at once. Even with that being said to
As a paraprofessional one of the biggest problems that is face is the collaboration between the team of the student you work with. I work on a team of twenty-one people who I must communicate with most of them daily or weekly basis. The main issue I face is working with the Special Education teacher and regular classroom teacher in curriculum. The reason being is that I don’t get things modified for my student occurring to the IEP and preview the materials ahead of time. Just being given the material to work with the day of is hard because if I must modify I don’t get the planning time to do so. Then I run into the student having behaviors cause the material is too hard. Looking at the problem-solving worksheet from De Boer I really like the
Today I wrote this letter to introduce myself to you for the purpose of improving our collaboration during this semester. As a first son and a fifth child in the family, I’ve received many loves from my parents and my four older sisters. My family migrated from Vietnam to the United States five years ago and carried our new hopes and dreams to this place. I was having a tough time in maintaining my native language and learning English at the same time. I don’t have any interest in reading books because I‘ve never really enjoy any book that I’ve read in the past, or just because I haven’t read as much book as i thought I did. My goal for this year is to past every classes with an A. The reason is I don’t want to lose my financial aid, and
I identified priorities in my patient assignments when one of my patients became unstable. I had a patient whose pulse oximetry was reading in the 80% with 6 L of oxygen. At that time, that patient was my main priority. I quickly got my preceptor, and informed her of the situation. She informed the physician and I implemented the order to give the patient IV Lasix to diuresis the fluid out of the patient’s lungs so he could breathe better. We ended up calling a code and we moved him to the ICU where he could be constantly observed.
Overall, my first semester has been going pretty well. The semester is going like a roller coaster up, down, and fast. I have some bad days and some good days. Through this semester, I have many challenges I faced which I honestly did not want to face. Even though I just wanted to dodge or run away from the challenges, I still face them and fought through them. Some challenges I face this semester, hopefully not in the next, are procrastination, time management, and laziness. I have not only gone through challenges; I have also gone through successes. I am proud of turning assignments on time, passing tests and quizzes, completing my SCR points, and being involved in clubs. Being in Biomed has helped me grow as a student in the area of knowledge.
When I work as team, I has communication with other member so, it has several solution that can help to improve my communication to have more professional. The initially topics is meeting management. The beginning of working should planning meeting. Meeting divide into 3 parts are before, during, and after. In the part of before, I should know the purpose and role of meeting. During meeting, if it is face to face meeting, I should know agenda of the meeting and participants their role for easy to communicate about work. After meeting, I should sure that I and other team member understand the information of the meeting because I may discuss with other team member. In addition, after the meeting finish, I should prepare myself for the next meeting.
I have been working like a machine for the past seven days. I have been getting up at the crack of dawn every morning and getting our oxen ready to go. I try as best I can to help with breakfast so that Mrs. right doesn't have to take care of us that much. After that I wake the children up, we all eat breakfast, and head on our way. When the sun is high in the sky we stop for lunch. Lunch is most likely a sandwich and a small drink of water, then once again, we pack up, and then continue going. A few hours before the sun is about to set, we set up camp. All of the women start making a big dinner, all of the men round up the animals and put them in the circle of wagons, and the children play for a little while. Once that is done we all
The best S.T.A.R. moment had to be a couple weeks ago. In my therapy classes that I am attending. It a group dedicated to soldiers with issues, depression, and PTSD. A staff Sergeant veteran name James Terrell was missing a limb. He begins by telling us that he is proud of us. I am sitting there thinking this man missing limbs. That he is happy that we are going to get the help we need. He goes into the actual events and detail on how he is missing a limb. He was so happy just to be alive. It really resonated with me and I began to become emotional. This man has to change the way he lives but he ok cause he can live. I love how he was grateful and he had a great sense of humor. He left us saying "Now he can get his shoes half. " It didn't
In team member, I have a chance to work with other people who came from different countries and nationality such as American, Jamaica, Singapore, China and Philippines. I enjoy working and talking together with a team so we exchanges ideas about daily life and tourist attraction in the U.S.A. One day, the sky is clear and the weather is very hot that made the theme park had a lot of people who went with families and friends. While I controlled the playing machine and my friends checked a safety belt of people in the train. Unfortunately, I saw the woman who was shaking and seemed to faint. I thought she had epilepsy since her shaking on the train. Furthermore, a hot weather and long queue would be a key factors to make her increase. I decided
I interviewed the boss and manager at Arnett Farms. Even though they are father and son I thought they would be two great people to interview. I picked Dylan becuase he is fairly new in the industry but he has a lot of knowledge and knows what it is like to be in my position. He has been farming pigs for about ten years but he is the same age as I am. He did not go to college for pig farming yet, but you do not have to go to college for all parts of animal science. Picking someone new who is young was important to me because I will be new so I can conncet with Dylan in that way and I have not been to college for aninmal science yet either. Gregg has been doing this for a very long time, so I thought I would also have someone who has the expierence and
Within my group the ability to collaborate with each other was great; something that neither of us expected. However, even though we could work together that does not mean we did not encounter any challenges. The challenges we encountered was the ability to arrange a time where we could all work together due to the busy schedules we have. Although it took us a while to figure out what time worked out for all of us, the problem was eventually solved to where it was beneficial for all group members.
In my opinion there is always room for improvements in my life. I am and I am also sure that my husband of 10 years is open to improvements and changes that will enhance our relationship. I enjoyed learning the 10 skills to display when a relationship. I can use these skills not just in my marriage but also with my children, my family members, my coworkers, my parents at school, my students, and with friends.
History never changes, but the way we interpret it can. Born to a 19-year-old woman who had never lived outside of her small agricultural town and a 33-year-old Iranian soldier, I left Iran for the United States when I was five years old. My journey from a boy to a man is focused around five key decisions that would prove instrumental in writing my history.
Our team worked as a group to ensure that our discussions lead to an improvement in performance. This was made possible through various steps that we took, including our team contract, which set the foundation for our minimum expectations and requirements of each other. Since we each agreed upon the seven behaviours before finalizing them, we had a clear understanding of what was expected. Although these guidelines were set in advance, our team could not foresee future scheduling conflicts or issues that slowed down our productivity. As these conflicts arose, we dealt with them in a prompt and suitable manner, ensuring that we could reasonably accommodate the needs of our members, while still satisfying our team objective. Our team regularly
Of all the aspects of my personality, the most distinguishing is my work ethic. This is best exemplified in the ways that I have risen to the top within the groups I have worked with and the projects I have worked on. The most recent example: I am currently working with a student committee at my high school to organize a “Career Day”. Although I came into the group on their second meeting, I am now the de facto leader as I have accepted the most responsibility and been key in communicating with administration to plan and schedule the event. When nobody will take on an assignment or when I feel an assignment is not being completed well enough, I step in, and that is what happened with my involvement on this project. For another example, I went
Enrolling in this class is particularly important as my communication with my five teenage children have taken a dramatic nosedive since their father and I divorced.
