When I get out of school I am going to Kentucky. It’s a town called Owensboro that is where i was born, and i lived there for eleven years of my life. So after the two hour car ride to kentucky I’ll go to my grandparents house because i am going to visit them. Although it will be pretty cold we will still go outside to talk and just hang out. Then later that night we will go out to eat at Texas Roadhouse. Then on Sunday afternoon we will get back in the car and drive back home. Of course that will be another 2 hour drive.
I think we should all have a chance to go to school and be professionals and study what we want to. There is a lot of people that didn’t get a chance to go to college after high school for personal reasons. They should have programs that help kids to finish school. With money living and other things sometimes financial aid it’s not enough so most of them are forced to work and they end up not going to school. Now there parents and they have to work to pay for house and food and other things. Half of my friends didn’t go to college after they graduated high school, and some of them didn’t even finish high school.
Looking back at my high school years I would say it was not easy. I was not the person I am today, I was careless and dull. I wasn't concerned about my standards or entity. The start of high school is the most critical year that will set your GPA for the future. Raising your GPA will not be an easy thing to do. As for me I had started out with a moderate GPA, but throughout the rest of my high school years I had to work very hard to bring it back up.
By the end of the week detention was getting so absolutely frustrating I felt like breaking the teachers neck every time I heard her exhale.
Before I started school I went to daycare instead of pre-k. There were three teachers that I can remember and they were Miss Amanda, Miss Jessie, and Mrs. Teresa. Out of all of them Miss Amanda was defiantly my favorite Before I started school I would go to daycare four days a week and Friday I would stay at home with my dad because back then he had Fridays off. We went to daycare because we do not live near any of our families. I liked spending the days at daycare and also at home with my dad. When I was a kid I was pretty shy and reserved kind of like I am now also. When I was little my hair was very short and extremely blonde. My food favorite food when I was little was meat. Any kind everything from chicken to steak. One memory I have of being in daycare was when one day I pulled a
All around the world there are overweight kids who get picked on daily. On January 9, 2007 I weighed 322 pounds, at the age of 14. Life to me was all about being an all American by eating cheeseburgers from fast food restaurants and maintaining good grades. Good grades allowed me to receive money from my parents, where I would go purchase burgers every day after school. During physical education I was never chosen to be on anyone’s teams because I was considered slow and dead weight. No one wanted to be friends with the boy everyone called “grease ball “. I was being criticized in every way and form.
As soon as I got to high school, everyone started asking me what I wanted to do after high school and what my goals were. What high school freshman knows what they want to do with their life? Very few, and I wasn’t one of them. I always knew that I would probably do something in the health field, partly because that’s what my dad did, but also because I’ve always had a heart for helping people, especially children. It wasn’t, however, until Junior year when I got my first job that I knew what I wanted to pursue as a career. Now before I go into what that career choice is and why, there is something which the reader must understand. My dad went to college and got his Master’s degree, my mom only had her high school diploma. Both of my parents agreed that all of their children should go to college, so for me the question wasn’t “should I go to college?”, but rather, “where should I go, what should I do, and how will I stay out of debt?”
Everything was load and I was backing away, new to this all. Not sure if I should stay or go. Ready to go home. Wasn’t sure what was going on. I took a seat in the corner of the room. After the bell had rang, everyone was getting quiet and making sure that they can get hear their name getting called for attendance. It took a fews days to adjust to. Then everyone became like one big family, even on the hottest days we stuck together, getting ready for competitions. I had stayed in band, and love it. I had learned to play violin later that year but for my fourth period. Then I had went to band class for seventh period. I didn’t learn how to play another instrument in band but what I did do was Color guard. It was a chance going into a high school
Before I was old enough to start school I went to daycare. I started at St. Michael when I was 3 years old. My first teacher was Ms.Oria in Pre-K3. The next year in Pre-K4 my teacher was Sister Inez. I met 2 of my current friends that year, Ana and Lesly. My best friend when I was little was Lara. She left the school in second grade.
If someone would have told me five years ago that I would be going to college to become a teacher, I more than likely would have laughed right to their face. I have nothing against teachers it just never seemed like a career, that I would purse and enjoy. I actually did not plan on going to college because I honestly had no idea what I would pursue in college. I did not make a final decision about my career path until my last year of high school. I just had too many things going on in my personal life to even think about my life after high school.
My life began 14 years ago on September 22, 2000 at about 1:30 pm at Mesquite Medical Center. I weighed 6 pounds 3 ounces and was 19 inches long. I have a sister who is 6 years older than me and is currently attending Stephen F. Austin for her 3rd year. When I was born, I had little blue spots on my body, but the most noticeable one is on my finger, it has grown as I have gotten older. My dad also has these mysterious spots and has been to many dermatologists to try and figure out what they are but no doctor knows exactly what to call them.
One early, April morning, people came for me in the dead of night to take me to school. The tinkling sounds of their key inside the lock to the door of my bedroom woke me from a sound sleep. They fumbled with it, betraying their unfamiliarity with the lock, while I rolled over in my bed and half dreamt of reminding my mom that the handle had to be held slightly upwards. When the door opened full there was a pause as light and cool air entered my room, and I propped myself up on my elbows to see why I was hearing such heavy breathing. A tall, middle-aged man approached the foot of my bed, while a short and unfamiliar woman lingered below the doorframe.
When I finished high school from my home town, I decided to move to bigger city for higher study. My parents sent me to one of dad’s older brother house for stay, so I stayed there for about one year. Everybody was okay in that house except for my aunt, she never treated me good. The problem was she had two sons, so she always discriminated between son and daughter. She had a problem with the way I talk, my outfit, my hair, and many other stuffs. I had to make breakfast in the morning, then cook lunch by 11am, and I had a school from 12 pm until 3pm, and when I comeback from school, I had to cook dinner. During the weekend, I had to clean house, wash clothes, and go for grocery shopping. I was basically a servant, and I did not do well in my
When I moved to Cape Girardeau from California to attend SEMO, I knew that I would need a job and that it had to be something simple and part-time. Only a week after moving here, my step-cousin Melissa, the director of the after school program at the St. Mary’s Cathedral, mentioned to me over a family dinner that there was a position open. She then continued by asking me, “Would you be interested? You would work with kids and it’s only from three to six on the weekdays.”
Last school year was a crazy one. Lots of different things going on, good and bad. I'm usually a C and D grade type of student. School has never been easy for me, i figured it just wasn't for me. I started to give up and not care about school, i stopped doing my work, i let my grades go down and it was bad. I had about 5 Fs, the rest were mostly D’s and C’s. My best friend Erika is an honor student, all AP classes and straight A’s in every single report card. Her parents were so proud of her, we were all so proud of her. I wondered how that felt and told myself that if i try hard enough i can do it too. So i got my act together. it wasn't easy but i was really trying, i started to do my work, i studied like crazy and talked to my teachers more. All in all i dint get to straight A’s but i got to all B’s and maybe two C’s. i was proud, my mom was proud and my best friend was too. My GPA got a little higher and it was all great.
It is the first day of the last semester of my senior year of High school. I am going to miss this; having my close friends by me every single day. I never really was popular in high school and I usually tried to hide in the shadows, but my best friend Sophie would never let that happen. She really pulled me out from my bubble. Sophie loves everyone, but she is picky with whom she likes. I know it doesn't make sense, but it is the best description.
