This year I have learned many things about myself. I have realized that everything is not given to you. The harder you work the better your grades will be. Also you must always make sure you check your grades and turn everything in. This year learned it is best to do everything by yourself and to not rely on others. I have noticed myself evolve into a responsible young adult. Also, my patience has improved tremendously. All of these changes have been good and helped me to become a better
Have you ever had something happen to you that made you think you couldn't do what you loved anymore? Well I have. I thought I would never be able to play the sport I loved, basketball, anymore. When I broke my arm in fourth grade in 2012 taught me to persevere, that you can do what you love no matter what, and no matter what bumps you hit in your life you can always come back better.
Throughout my early childhood, I knew I wanted to change lives for the better. I have always contemplated on being a doctor since the age of three and decided to be an actress/singer at age six. Since then I have worked hard to maintain good grades and up until now I have worked relentlessly to maintain good grades, this all payed off when I was accepted into a university that would give me the opportunity to follow my dreams. To be able to accomplish my dreams, I have studied, auditioned, and performed to get prepared and be in the place i’m in today. If it wasn't for my determination, persistent, realization, and hard work, I wouldn't be where I am today. Through countless rehearsals, I was able to accomplish my dream of learning how to sing,
Hi iam Edgardo Flores i was born in casa grande, az not that far away from our state capital,Phoenix, Az.theres nothing better to do in a hot summer than going out with the friends to a lake and have a blast riding jet skis boats and my favorite, swimming! My activites of the day are shooting, riding horses, and my favorite one is quad riding.Thats right! ive been doing these fun exciting hobbies since i was 9 years old.pretty young huh?
From the beginning of the year, to now the end of first semester, I have learned and experienced a lot in the art of writing. If I could rate myself the level of skill I have accomplished this semester, I would give myself a 7 out of 10. I think I am at a 7 rating because of the type of writing I did this year, and how thoroughly I wrote my papers. I did have really detailed papers this year, and I loved some of the pieces I came up with, but I know I can always do better. I could always add more detail to my writings and come up with an amazing paper. From last year with my writings, I didn’t add so much detail or precision like I did this year with my pieces. I even now write out of school to expand more in my knowledge.
I was born in the 2000’s but I’m a complete 90’s kid. I grew up watching 90’s shows and listening to 90’s rap. I grew up listening to only rappers like Nas, Snoop Dogg, Tupac, Ice Cube, and also the rest of the rappers from N.W.A. I grew up watching people like Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock on tv. Growing up listening to 90’s rap music made me have a big appreciation for the lyrics in a song more than a beat. In 90’s rap the beat is always pretty miniscule and unelaborate. Most of today's rap has terrible or not understandable lyrics and just has a good beat.
I did not really learn anything new although I thought it was very informational for those who did not know about what a substantial source is and how to find out if it is a good one.
What I consider to be one of the most important things that I have learned about myself as a writer is that I have the potential to be a proficient writer. Therefore, I must apply what I am learning and work dingenlety to accomplish the writing assignment that is before me. When it comes to research-based writing the skills that I have learned is how to use the library in a way that it is profitable to me. I also have learned how to observe and evaluate the finding of the material properly. What I learned about writing a research-based paper that is framed around a research question is that it involves critical thinking. At this time I have no big concerns about my writing or about the research paper. However, I would like to say that I wish
1. The 2nd case study made me reflect on my first head coaching job in football. I was hired by a school in south Texas with the help of a friend I coached with in Oklahoma. He had moved back to his hometown and started teaching and coaching at his high school. He contacted me about the opening and two months later I was hired. I hired him to be one of my assistants and even made sure that he was paid well as a thank you. I was very disappointed with the way he coached that year. I had already make arrangements to move him to a non-coaching position for the next season. I realize I never spoke with him about my expectations or made him aware of how I felt during the season. I identity with Dr. Skinner is some regards. I was caught up in the other aspects of teaching, coaching, and AD duties, I neglected to take care of that issue. I understand that it is OK to hire a trusted colleague or friend but the expectations of them should not be any different of anyone else.
We were outside the dark unpleasant locker room, filled with smelly body odor and dirty clothes. Kenny sat in a rusty metal chair brainstorming with his two friends, Briana and Gregory. They had grown up with Kenny; they had been through the good and bad with him. Kenny was 5’11 and Gregory was about the same height. Kenny had brown hair with clear blue eyes. Gregory had brown eyes with black hair. Brianna was 5’6 with long blonde hair and bright green eyes. “I don't get it, they beat us every year in the lacrosse finals!” yelled Kenny. “C’mon Kenny, maybe this year you’ll beat those guys.” Gregory said, hopping Kenny would cheer up. “Kenny, You're a great player and we all know that; You've made the all-star team and have won many awards.”
I have had many forces and experiences that have shaped me. They have not only shape who I have become, but who I am going to become. Throughout my life I have made a bunch of dumb decisions, mistakes, or things that just happen to me. Everything, in one way or another will take part in what happens in our lives. Whether I’m playing baseball, riding dirt bikes, or just messing around at home, it will all play into who we will become.
The three things I learned this summer was that I just have to read every once In a while and I understand stuff. Reading this summer has improved a lot in my opinion. I can follow along with the professional reader when he reads and I can follow along with my pen when Mcgee reads, so that has improved since the school year. Also that our teacher can talk about things and actually make you think a little bit. Just when he does the little kindergarten impressions, he makes a really good point. He makes you think in depth which I think is a good thing.
I believe you can achieve anything you want in life with hard work, dedication, and passion. There are many experiences I have gone through that have helped shaped who I am today. I may not have control over certain situations, but I have a choice on how it affects me.
I was sitting at my desk my in the second grade class. It was a regular day just like any other day. With the regular teacher, the regular lessons, the regular student, and the regular words the students said. They would never talk about what the teacher wanted us to talk about but what second grader does? They would talk about movies they watched recently and music they were into that day. But what happened when they learned that I watched a different movie? What happened when I didn't like the music they did? What happened when I had my own ideas and didn't blindly follow whatever they thought was cool like a trained puppy? I was stupid. I was dumb. I couldn't function like a normal person. I would never be important. No one would ever like
Everything that I have attained in the past helped define who I am today. Everything I have gone through and have done in the previous years of my life molded me into the person I am today. Not only have they shaped me into who I am; but also guided me in discovering the potentials I did not realize that I had. Without the challenges and hardships of the past, I know that I would not be who I am today.
In the first telling of my personal narrative, I did not consider including what had led me to a point where I began to embrace my identities and become proud of my heritage as Korean. There were many factors that led me to be who I am today. The reason for leaving out the information was because there were so many people and occurrences that led me to the point where I am now. For example, moving to different elementary school where there were more diverse body of students, annually performing at the Mosaic in the Korean pavilion, my parents being a positive role model, and becoming a volunteer teacher at the Korean Language School are some of the reasons which have led me to be who I am today. As I was surrounded by people who were interested
