Recently while visiting Universal Studios Orlando we had lunch hat The Hard Rock Cafe. While we were walking down t City Walk, we notice groups of people wavered around The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium. At first glance, it appeared that people where just taking advantage of the availability of the seats and chairs. When we got closer I made sure I traveled up the side stairs to get a closer look, just in case it was open, then, I could persuade my wife to change our plans. When I got near the side doors, I could see that there was a official employee function going on, and other park gore like myself where making their way up past the barriers to get a look. As I got closer, I could hear the conversations, of awe and wonder, mixed in with

I weighed out 150 milliliters of potassium chlorate and presented it to my partner. She looked as frightened as the Disney corporation when Miley Cyrus performed her song "Party in the USA". "Christy... I..I.." she stuttered. "You'll do fine." I interrupted. We were being directly watched by a group of fifteen people and indirectly by a group of twenty-five. She wanted me to light the Bunsen burner, but my good thumb was jammed because of volleyball tryouts from the previous week. Instead, I offered her a smile stuffed with motivation and reassurance. Luckily, she took it and used it as energy to complete our experiment. She ignited the Bunsen burner while I scooped the crystalline solid in a tube and fixed the tube over a flame. We awaited for the potassium chlorate to liquefy and
The fluorescent lights bounced off the clear plastic of the cake tin. I smile looking at the soft buttercream swirls on the top of the delicious treat.. Slowly I unhinge the cake’s cove hearing the soft snaps of the plastic separating from the base. “Pop, pop, pop” the top comes off. As I release the cake from the covering an overwhelming scent of chocolate fills the air. It was as if I had just opened the door to the Willy Wonka’s chocolate factory. I look down at the cake to see the smooth brown buttercream spread in an even layer all across the top and sides of the cake, The drips of hardened dark chocolate flowing down the sides of the cake. Each slice is marked out neatly with a small, shallow indent in the frosting with a hard candy
Born into a poor, lower-class family, Milton S. Hershey dropped out of school before reaching the fourth grade. He developed an interest in becoming a confectioner. Imagine being a young child walking into a chocolate museum where chocolate lines the walls, you can create your own one of a kind candy bar, thousands of different types of chocolates, and chocolate bars line the walls.
After explorers Columbus and Cortez traveled to the Americas in the late 1400s, they returned to Europe with ships full of a variety of trade goods, including some cacao beans.
"Keep rolling your eyes like that. Maybe you'll find a brain in there." I murmured. Boy, do I have a death wish.
One day i woke up and I felt that something was wrong something was off about him. He didn’t seem normal, to quiet, and wasn’t moving. He wouldn’t walk, wouldn’t budge and he kept falling every time he tried to walk this was a tragedy.
The candy wrapper seemed to be apprehensive as it was blown across the course desert sand; a strange sight. Brian seemed uneasy. Evidence of first gen humans was rare. Something was off. Brian trudged on, with his cart, he had a productive day.
Lila’s eyes became big like saucers and sparkled as she focused on the chocolate chip cookies. I could see the drool pooling at the corners of her mouth. As I watched her chubby arms reach at the cookies, I gave a concerned look at her mother, Camry. They were my neighbors who stopped by to return me a bag of play dough that I lent to them two days ago. My other neighbor gave me those cookies that morning. I had tried only a bite before opening the door for the cute mother and daughter. I could see many sugar crystals shining along the cookie bite mark. I was struggling to decide whether or not to give her a cookie. After all, cookies are mostly carbohydrate and fats, which are considered junk food. Surprisingly, her mother smiled to me and
It was almost midnight and the memories of my father were trapped in my head. He had gone missing last week. The thing that bothered me the most was that he was just sweet old Mr. Kane. There was no motive for anyone to hurt him or take him. He owned a candy shop on Main Street and everyday after school the kids who dropped by got a free mint drop. I was his only child so I don’t understand why the only thing he left me in his will was a dusty, old chest that had been in the attic for years. It didn’t even have a key. That’s what I was doing up so late,l trying to find the key. I dozed off slowly, the thoughts of him pounding in my head. I knew that if I didn’t try to find him I would regret it forever. Forever(29)
It was either a Monday or a Tuesday, that really doesn’t matter, the day wasn’t going very well anyways. My mom was yelling at me for some dumb reason which probably was sane for her to do so. I got to school at exactly 7:48. It was relatively normal I was talking with my friends and we were having a jolly old time.
