Personal Narrative: The Three Penny Opera

A girl named penny and her family have just moved back in town Penny noticed a red car at Mrs.Ruthie’s house and saw Caleb Devlin in the car.

The production of Three Penny Opera here at the University of Minnesota was an interesting work of art. Many artistic choices, which turned out to be very successful, can be seen in this production. The amount of work that went into this play is shown through every aspect of theatre. From the acting to the set design to lighting, everything fit nicely together to create a wonderful piece. This production was artistically beautiful and impactful to the audience.

The most impactful thing that happened this year was getting my new dog. It was my first rescue dog i ever had. It was a female bulldog, and was hurt and afraid. And her name is Penny. Penny had a rash and was afraid of putting our hands near her. She had to be taught a few things like sitting when getting food or getting along with the other dogs. Penny had to get special food to help her. Plus with some medicine for her rash so she can feel better so she can feel like a normal dog. Penny had to be walked so she can be healthy and feel much better as a normal dog. Because of all these things we believe that the previous owner took bad care of penny and was smacking her a

“Come Myleigh were going to be late.”said Laci “I’m coming, I’m coming.” said Myleigh Emily said “ The party is going to be over by the time we get there.” The three girls were going to the scariest party in Indiana. The girls drove up and it was storming. They got to the door and it opened by itself. The girls all screamed. Then the owner of the house came.

Hi my name’s Pennies, I’ve been in caring hands care for roughly five months now, and while everyone here is so nice, I would really love to find my forever home really soon. I one of the few senior felines here and as a result often get over looked. Though there as to be soon out there who like’s the easy life as much as I do! I’m a laid back gal that enjoys taking long naps, lounging around watching movies, and walking short distances from the couch to the food bowl and back. I was adopted and went to a home that had other animals, and unfortunately they weren’t very nice to me. It all started on the morning of July 26, when I told my dear daughter Penny Woods to go out and buy the groceries for dinner. She had been so excited to drive by herself since she had just received her driver 's licence. It was hard for me to let her go to the store without me, but I knew I had to. The weather was nice, it was sunny and the clouds dotted the sky. It made me feel better letting Penny go off all alone. I wish I had known that it was the last goodbye I would ever say to her.

See a penny pick it up and all day you’ll have good luck! That was and still is a mantra of hope for many, including myself. It is one taught to children in schools across America as a way to encourage positive saving habits. On a bad day, if I find a penny my mood changes and my spirit lightens. My relationship with pennies heightened as I began middle school and realized the true value of this tiny coin. Day after day, I found pennies under couches and behind doors. I collected them for almost a year until I had saved enough for a pair of sunglasses. Little did I know that by spending so many pennies, I was boosting the market value of a circulated coin. Now, knowing that people think the penny is useless worries me,

In the weeks before Dinner Theatre I knew I wanted to perform a solo. I was finally starting to overcome my own personal anxiety and my confidence was higher than it had ever been. I picked out the song quickly and I already knew it by heart, but singing it alone in my bedroom was completely different than performing it in front of a full auditorium two nights in a row. That’s when the reality of what I was doing finally sank in. I had performed with the chorus more times than I could count, but I hadn’t performed completely alone in years.

Music vocal or instrumental sound combined in such a way as to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion. As a small child, I never understood why people had a fascination with music. I always thought, “What’s so good about it? I can make noises too.” At the time music never interested me. However, a few years later music quickly becomes a big part of me life.

Guess what my sister did this weekend? Last weekend was her last meet before counties. She did very well. I had so much fun watching her. There were sad moments though when the relay was lost by a split of a second, b. But I still thought it was fun since it was her last meet before winter.

I chuckle under my breath at the absurdity of me still having stage fright after all this time. My heart hums to the sound of the audience’s murmur and I sing under my breath, looking for the pitch to “Somewhere over the Rainbow” when, suddenly, in what seemed like slow motion, the beat is heard and I walk on stage, no longer myself.

An hour until show time. Nerves were setting in. Things were getting tense. I was nervous. If I mess up I will never want to come on stage ever again.

"I have the tracking skills of a dog, Alek. I can probably find any animal in the entire forest." She pulled off her sweater and handed it to me. For someone who looked so small and fragile, she was actually extremely tough. Her shirt was tight and the sleeves didn't stop until they reached her elbow. "Wake up the other two while I'm gone. It's about seven in the morning. Tell them where I went. Ask Kate to do the laundry. I'll be back in an hour."

The first time I ever stepped on stage to participate in a theatrical performance resulted in the entire reconstruction of my personality and my future. While I waited for my cue to start the performance during November of 2012, I could hear the soft rumble of people talking in the bitterly cold cafeteria. The knots in my stomach told me that I was anxious to be seen by a three hundred person audience of my peers. As if my director could hear my thoughts, I was signalled with a finger to start the show. “Greetings and salutations!” I screeched horribly as I erupted through a large and humid cardboard box called Pandora's Box. As expected, I was immediately blinded by the harsh stage lights that loomed overhead. The experience made me feel like I was in complete solitude.
