It was a nice summer morning we I was all of a suden shoke like turbulence on a plane to wake up. It turns out I slept threw my alarm to wake up for the day. It was about 11:00 am and today we were heading to Florida and our flight takes off at 1:00 pm. You may think that we had time to make the airport in Milwaukee but, we had to drive all the way to Chicago, Illinois because there was no flight for Florida in Milwaukee. Luckily I had packed the day before with the rest of my family so all we had to do was wait for our aunt Lisa to take us to the aiport in Chicago. She showed up five minutes later with a mini van and there was about seven of us jammed in there. It was alright for me because in our family if you called “shot-gun” or “I
The pleasures of Rapid City were in my sights when I asked Malory to make the 2-hour trip with me.To begin our trip to Rapid, we would get in my cobalt, and drive to the Dupree Cenex to fill up on snacks, drinks, and gas. Mallory would get Root Beer and Pringles. I would get M&M’s and Cherry Sprite. We would get in the car, after we filled it up with gas, put on our favorite music, and truly start the trip.
Today my Hilarious Fiend Jasper and I will be leaving Dupree around 2:00. We will be traveling 2 hours 20 minutes and One Hundred Forty Five miles. To Rapid City South Dakota
I hope your Tuesday afternoon is going terrific. I am Miten Bhadania and I would like to formally introduce myself as your colleague working in the Tech department as Developer.
Growing up in the Chicago area was a great experience for me, I was always a good kid but I had always struggled in school. The reason that I had a hard time in school was that I had A.D.D which was the cause of my distraction. Entering Pritzker College Prep was a different experience for me because I was overwhelmed, the reason as to why I felt overwhelmed was because of the amount of homework we got. I ended up spending nights where I would do my homework and wouldn’t get a sufficient amount of sleep and would also cause me to fall asleep in class. My grades started to drop which caused me to stop caring in school, so I also decided to just stop doing my homework and it caused a decrease in my grades.
“Dad, I can’t talk, I'm heading out right now,” I said while hugging the phone with my shoulder up to my ear. He told me to be cautious on the roads, considering the blizzard we had just had a few days ago. It was an unusually calm day in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. A perfect day to travel, the snow on the ground glistened as it had just been freshened with a new coat from the light snowfall early this morning. The sun was barely noticeable from the distance as the tip of it lit up the outline of city. It gave the trees a soft glow making it look like there were thousands of microscopic diamonds floating off the branches of the bare trees through the breeze, carrying them across the neighborhood and greeting themselves at the window
Being from a town where there are no skyscrapers and a growing community, I had never experienced the real feeling of being in an actual crowded city. This city is like none I’ve ever been in, I had been in Miami, Atlanta, and Charlotte but those cities were nothing like the city I was about to visit. In October of 2016 my older brother ran into a medical problem causing us to have to visit a doctor that was located hundreds of miles away. From then on we had to travel to Teaneck, NJ, but minutes away from that town was the largest city in the United States which was New York City. I had seen movies, television shows, and news about New York, but I really did not believe there could be a place so full of life, so I was finally getting the chance
Lila and I started off our morning with breakfast at the Cheshire before doing more exploring of St. Louis. First, we attended the Strange Folk Festival. Tons of shops, art, food, and music lined the streets. It reminded me exactly of festivals I used to go to growing up in the small town I lived in. It was great experiencing a little bit of St. Louis culture. After melting in the heat we made out way back to the hotel to cool down before our second night at the
Even through the 1950s, Kansas City and Chicago were very well connected major Midwestern cities. As an upper middle class college-aged man from Kansas looking to make it in the late 50s and achieve his own American Dream, Chicago was a natural place for me to move for college. In 1957, I was a college junior at Loyola University Chicago, a Jesuit university on the north side of Chicago. Surrounded every day by minorities and immigrant groups in Rogers Park, as well as living in a larger dense urban environment, it should come as no surprise that Loyola students were more social-justice oriented than many students in other parts of the United States (Loyola Chicago).
I felt the bumping and heard the bus frame squeal quietly as we were on the journey to destination. We were in Detroit, Michigan for a mission trip. It was a new place full of new things for me to experience. And the most eye-opening experience for me was when we helped a neighborhood clean out a disastrous and neglected alley.
Thursday March 7th 2013 I packed my little suitcase up with all my purple and white clothing. My father and my best friend Jordan Gould packed their bags as well and we went to sleep.
Sometimes do you ever just feel like there is someone out there waiting for you, to change your life, but you just haven't met them yet? In a world with over 7 billion people that is often the case. Out of those 7 billion people about 10,000 of them live in a small suburb of Michigan called the East Bend. Sounds fancy huh? Well you could say that. About one half of our town is full of nice well kept homes owned by businessmen or doctors. Then one fourth is owned by those regular everyday cookie cutter type families. Then the remaining fourth are well the others. The weirdo rednecks who love four wheelin and cow kicking, or just that one family the whole neighborhood just stays as far away as possible from. I’m one of those well normal families.
David Franco , Ronnie , Kylee and I went to Kansas City for a day trip. It was a lazy saturday afternoon of the summer 2015 when Kylee’s dad came into to Kylee’s room to ask us what we planned to do that day. Kylee replied “ watch this on how to build a pool” He just laughed at us saying “then how about you guys get some shoes on , let’s go to Worlds of Fun.” I screamed with joy repeating “ are you serious , we're seriously just gonna go to Kansas City like right now?!” he then replied “ yes, call your parents and see if it’s okay and you guys can get ready and we’ll go.”
The highlight of my 2015 summer was traveling to Orlando, Florida. There, I participated in a week-long national fine arts competition with a vocal solo and a short sermon, earning excellent and superior ratings. Top professionals of each category evaluated and gave criticism. This invaluable experience to helped fine tune my musical and communication skills.

Yes, the day was finally here I was going to America. Of course though it was only about one in the morning, but I was only twelve, I didn't know that. I made sure I had all of my stuff packed, but I didn't, so I packed, and then, me being me, I ran through the house screaming “Yay, we're going to America.” I had done it then, I had turned around and there stood my mom and dad. They were angry at me, and as I expected, next thing I knew they were yelling at me almost simultaneously “Amadeo Ambrogio get back to bed this minute or you won't be going anywhere. Yea, so that was pretty much my luck as a twelve year old Italian boy. I was laying in bed thinking “Oh great, now I'm never going to Ameri-,” I stopped mid-sentence because I thought someone was coming downstairs, but it was just my dog, Fido. I loved Fido, he was a golden retriever that I found on the side of the road.
