The game felt like a million hours left in the last quarter of the game for b-team. We waited on the sidelines for b-team’s game to explode as, we watched. The a-team started to drink water and stretch a little for the game.
We walked to the sidelines preparing for battle. Our b-team slowly went in battle with them. We put on our big shells and shiny helmets and start to warm up.Every Time we line up we explode off the ball for our targets in the warm up.The game is almost ready for us,so I set my belt in place.
Zach said, “I believe!” “I believe,” said everyone! Zach said, “I believe that we can win!” “I believe that we can win,” said everyone! “I believe that we can win,” said everyone! After we got hyped by the
It all started in 7th grade, our football team was at the time undefeated and we were in our second to last game. We were up by quite a bit and our team was feeling sanguine, our coach didn’t put too much thought into it, and called a run up the middle with our star running back Michael Lundy. He Got the ball and ran for Three short yards then suddenly tripped over a pile of angry, impassioned, irritable teenage boys. Michael had landed wrong and you could see by his expressions he was hurt, his dad came on the field and helped carry him off. We were forced to continue the game without Michael, which wasn’t all that bad because there were only three minutes left in the game. We the Philomath 7th grade braves had won our second to last game
Leadership is a key role in all team sports, if you don’t have the leadership odds are is that your not going to have good team chemistry and not an very good season as well. My junior year was a big time learning curve for myself, which is why I am writing this essay to you, to tell you why I believe that I am part of the cream of the crop for our football program.
It was another scorching day. Not only were the players dripping sweat, but the fans in the stands as well. The announcer came on the loudspeakers and welcomed us onto our rivals field.
The day the team got together and fought threw a tough battle facing pinnacle high school. It was our second home game and our record was 1-2. After all of the hard work we had put in over summer, we realized we could not lose, especially in front of our home crowd. At the beginning of the game we did our usual warm-ups, I have never felt so much adrenaline pushing threw my veins in my life. After the warm-ups the whole team got in a big huddle, we chanted a chant that will never be forgotten and one day make history for the pride. After the chant we got ready for kick-off, lined up and ready to go. The crowd started cheering at the first 2 seconds of the game “go pride go, go pride go”. This made the whole team nervous, not just because there was so many
With a score of 44 to 37, the Varsity Football Team won against the Midway Panthers last Friday night at Waco.
It was a dark thursday night in April. The sky was clear enough to see the moon shining brightly along with many small circular diamonds. I’m in a dark blue Avalanche, being driven to a baseball diamond. I play for the MIlwaukee Brewers on a little league level. It’s my last game of the season, and I can’t wait for the umpire to say the words “Play Ball” (which states that the game has begun).
I woke up and took one bite out of my pop tart but that one bite was all I could eat. My legs were shaking, and my heart was pounding. My dad told me, “It is a true honor to even make it this far so go out there and have some fun.” Once I heard this statement, I knew I was ready to go. I arrived at school and boarded the bus. The car ride was an hour and fifteen minutes of hearing the squeaking of the wheel on the bus. My teammates were getting their heads ready for the big game.
Entering the venue of the game the crowd was already electric. As I look up I see our massive student section chanting fight songs and other cheers. Parents and staff members were smiling ear to ear chanting along with the student section trying to help get us ready to take on our opponent. As warm ups started the atmosphere became more and more intense as the countdown went on. Looking over at my teammates close to me we all look focused on getting the job done. Not one of us were
It all started at the beginning of tryouts. The week of excitement and nervousness. Everyone was already making guesses on who was gonna be on the team. Then so it started, the first day was pretty easy and so was the next. The third was conditioning day, which was the worst. Then the last two days were fairly easy too. But those days were the most nerve racking. Those were the days when the cuts were made.
For a majority of people in the world, if they were to wake up with 350 million dollars, and would be able to be fully retired by 38 years old, then they would be very content and happy with their lives. Being able to wake up every day in a big mansion, lying with your family by the poolside, not worrying about financial issues for yourself or loved ones, and lastly having the great opportunity for you and your whole family, to not work a day the rest of your lives. It is an ideal situation that approximately 99.99% of people would want. But, an outlier, challenges those astonishing odds, by using their influence and popularity, to help out and make a difference. Not
As the crowd was cheering as the game went on I was on the edge of my seat. At the time my family was visiting California for the first time. We all had a blast and before we wanted to leave all of us wanted to go to a baseball game. As we were walking to the stadium all of the hard core fans were getting hyped for the game. All of them playing games in the parking lot.It felt like I was meant to be at the game. I was rooting for the angels at the time because the rest of the crowd was. My dad was taking pictures of the players throwing, catching, and making plays. I remember as the game was getting close to the end that I had to get cotton candy. Cotton candy was one
It was finally game day for us freshman. Winter break just finished about two weeks ago and we finally have a home game. This time it’s against Franklin High School. I felt like this game was going to be a good one. I knew I was going to go off.
After a challenging move from De Pere to Sturgeon Bay between my freshman and sophomore year, I can officially say that I have adapted well to my new community. In the beginning of sophomore year, one of my goals was to become as involved in my new high school as I was my old high school. I have accomplished that by becoming a part of the soccer team and joining a variety of clubs that all mean a lot to me. For example, A-Team works with other students that have learning disabilities to make social interaction a little more comfortable. In my opinion, creating a better learning environment for them not only benefits all of the students in that environment but it feels really rewarding.
We march onto the field and took our positons to stop the other team. Boom the kick was off I ran as fast as I can and hit the guy with the ball. Okay I said to myself I got the first tackle now the real game has started no time to think about anything else but the game. Surprising we were doing a good job stopping them from moving the ball. The next thing I remember we had the ball. On offense I was lined up against one of the giants from their team. Wow I was scared but once we hit, I notice he was not all that good. Now drive my own self-motivation I began to play like the me I know. As everything was going good I can feel the whole mood of the game change. We were holding our ground with a team that should be beating us. Every moment of the game felt like a dream but the pain was
Ever since I was a little boy, I always wanted to be the person in charge. I put this to the test at a young age by being the captain of my travel baseball team. As the catcher of the team I was in charge of where everyone in the field is positioned. Catchers can see everything and everyone, so they have to communicate with their teammates about where they need to go. This role came naturally to me because I always want to be in control of what is going on. Taking this role lead my team to very well against competition that should have blown us out of the water. After that year I knew that I wanted to put into a position of authority later in life.
