“What is the boy doing?” I asked. “He’s just resting; looks like these tired” General Horneck responded.
Humans are so naïve. They rest when they are in danger even though we are no mere threat to them. They are nothing compared to how we are. We buggers look all the same, no difference in size, thought, or appearance; I, being queen just instruct the other buggers with my mind. Our physique is different in how humans look. We have two points that extend out of the top of our heads which have the color of fire. The colors of the two points are similar to the two tsunamis that collided together and soon crystalized centuries ago on our home planet, Zane. We also have large bright yellow wings that extend out of the back of our bodies and reach

I could feel that there was a sense of tension around our planet, Zane. The battle broke out right as the red star rose, that halting my tactics. I wished to communicate by going in closer to the “enemy” ship and show that we wanted to make peace instead of destroying each other. I soon saw the boy and his team in their battle position striking at my army with all the might they have. They were as determined as they were in Invasion 2 and 1. I could even see Mazer Rackman, the man who destroyed one of our strongest bugger colonies in Invasion 2. After that, we started to understand and become more adapted to the life of human beings. The humans strike again with a shockwave-like transmission destroying the east side of the ships that were battling. I could feel how my army was in grieve pain at that side. We tried to fight back but we couldn’t, we were not supposed to. Our priority was to become an alliance, not destroy intelligent life. I felt amused when the enemies were protecting their main ship and here, there were no buggers who wanted to protect me back on the Zane. The humans probably don't know that the lives of queens can never be taken …show more content…
We inched closer and closer until we had him surrounded. I got out of my chair and went out of my palace to fly up to the enemy ship. Right as I was taking off, the shockwave-like transmission reappeared once again, but this time it dodged the ships. I thought they misfired but no, they fired for something greater, they fired for Zane. The transmission sliced through Zane and Zane started to rumble and rattle. I was not one of the buggers on the ship, I was on Zane. I knew this would eventually be the end of the buggers, but I only hoped that the boy would find his path through the end of the world and look in the mirror one last
Since more ships were arriving from Earth soon, Ender sets out to find more land for the colonists to settle in. In searching for more land, Ender comes across an area that resembles the images in the computer game he played at Battle School. He believes that the buggers created this place to leave him a message. When he went to the castle and looked behind the mirror, he found the chrysalis of the next bugger queen. The former queen communicates with him and shows him images of the bugger war from her point of view and tells him what he needs to do in order to start a new bugger civilization. Ender writes a book about the history of the buggers and titles it Speaker for the Dead, which becomes somewhat of a religion for some people on Earth and for most living in the bugger worlds. Ender titles the story of Peter with the same title as the one of the buggers and both books become the foundation of a new religion. At the end of the book, Ender asks Valentine to travel to different worlds with him so he can start a new bugger colony, and his search lasts for numerous
The alien's have not meddled with the destruction of a civilization in millions of years, but they found they could not allow the complex human being to become extinct. However, because humans are intelligent to a fault without actively questioning authority and have a tendency to be
“All forces to Star Tours!” Pascal the head security guard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios yelled to his fellow authorized guards.
Star Wars. Just the name itself holds an astonishing weight in the world of film, literature, and even video games and music. With so many works of varying fame and acclaim, almost no other piece of the Star Wars universe is more easily recognised than the 1980 film (the second in the original trilogy), “Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back!” George Lucas, the mastermind behind the film itself, knew from the beginning that this film needed to drive his vision to the satisfying end that it deserved. This included using massive, beautiful set pieces such as Hoth, Cloud City, and Dagobah among others. With these basic introductory statements finished, a thesis is to be stated: How much was the story of Luke Skywalker, as well as the entire Star Wars universe, inspired by the Hero’s Journey formula?
In 1977 and today Star Wars is a major sci-fi success. Star Wars follows the twelve stage hero’s journey which was created by Joseph Campbell. The hero’s journey explains the journey that the hero’s takes to achieve great deeds and personal growth. The articles Pathway to Bliss by Joseph Campbell and A Myth for Our Time by Andrew Gordon helps explain the changes from boy to man in Luke. In this essay I will explain how Luke changes from childhood to manhood using the articles A Myth for Our Time by Andrew Gordon and Pathway to Bliss by Joseph Campbell, to analyze the film Star Wars and Luke’s journey with it.
I have lived in only one location my entire life: Edwardsville, Illinois. A peripheral suburb of St. Louis, it stands as the rare oasis of people in a desert of corn, pinned in its own personal bubble. Due to this blend of time and isolation, I developed a natural familiarity with my hometown. But, throughout my childhood, I longed to break free from the confines of the bubble and venture outward. However, this changed last summer, as I walked through Richards Brickyard, our family heirloom, that my great-grandfather, Benjamin Richards, founded over 120 years ago. I felt these childlike sentiments slip away. The bubble that had surrounded me for so long began to vanish, and the picture that it had been obscuring was slowly revealed.
In the original three films of the Star Wars saga, the theme of individuality plays a huge role in the development of the characters and the good versus evil dichotomy as a whole. The Empire oppresses individuality within their officers and stormtroopers, whereas the Rebels embrace it within their troops. In the prequels, the usage of individuality gets needlessly complicated. The strict Jedi Code seems to encourage all jedi to act like emotionless machines. Lucas establishes the clones and droids as completely identical and expendable soldiers, making battle scenes relatively unengaging. However, in the animated series The Clone Wars, this lack of individuality in clones and droids gets a do-over. The creators of this show accomplish the improbable by imbuing the battle droids and clones with individuality. Additionally,
Human beings are the epitome of contradictory. As a whole we have so many accomplishments to take pride in, yet at the same time we have caused so many tragedies where the means do not justify the ends. Regardless of the fact that we are the utmost confusing race to ever exist, human beings should be spared from the wrath of the aliens because human beings are constantly developing and surely that is something to be proud of.
The ideas presented in the Star Wars Documentary relate to my journey when it comes to the hero's journey, the good and evil choice, and the uncontrollable event that sets life in motion. For starters, the hero’s journey, which is based off mythology and history, represents the transition between one identity to another. For my life this is represented from when I was a little kid to now. Going from a child, who has fun and nothing else to worry about, to a teen in high school who has to worry about grades, relationships, and careers. Secondly, the good and evil choice is seen in my life, just not as literally as in Star Wars. My good and evil choice was made in middle school. I could have chosen to slack off, never do work, but I chose to
Finally in a third battle, the humans, led by an adolescent boy named Ender, destroy the entire population of Buggers and their home planet. Ender feels remorse over this and comes to learn the Buggers did not wish to harm the humans once aware of their intelligence. He hopes to one day revive their population with a cocooned Bugger he found (Card). In this interaction, there are two species both completely alien to one another.
I believe I have made progress from where I started at the beginning of this course. At first I did not
Sitting in a hospital waiting room, alone, afraid; and waiting for the news; would she be ok? Would she even survive? My nerves were out of control; my heart was beating through my chest, you could literally see it thumping through my top. The beads of sweat racing down my forehead, as if I was in the middle of the Safari dessert. I have been an athlete my entire life, yet I have never felt so physically drained. I look around, my eyes opening, then closing; as if I am coming in and out of consciousness, then suddenly echoed words begin to ring around my ear drums….” Sir…...sir, can you hear me? Sir please, we need to know what happened. We need to know what happened to her. Maybe my motionless state showed my

What movie franchise has been the most powerful film franchise in history? Who could forget traveling through space fighting evil, using the force, and defeating the empire? Yes I am talking about Star Wars. The franchise includes 6 movies and countless games, toys, and books. Now I know y'all must be thinking “she only thinks star wars in so important cause it’s her favorite movie or she’s a geek or something like that” Well to be honest I have never in my life seen any of the movies. I’ve seen bits and pieces but none of them the whole way through. Although that it true Star Wars has influenced my life. Star Wars is and will be for years to come the most influential, powerful, and profitable franchise in history.
