The sun was shining so warmly when my Mom, my Aunt Connie, her boyfriend Zach, and his daughter Willow arrived in Rodanthe, North Carolina. Rodanthe is a very small town located on the Outer Banks of North Carolina near Cape Hatteras. We love going there every summer because it is away from all of the tourist areas, it’s small, and we get to know all of our neighbors.
Every year we try to do some type of activity or to go see something that we have not seen before. We have tried surfing, paddle boarding, and boogie boarding. We have such a great time as a family doing these activities that it has become a contest to find new and different things to try out. Our most favorite activity has been paddle boarding and we make sure we do this every year. This year was no different.

We go into the water and were paddling to the different locations that had become our favorites. As we were going to these locations, my Aunt Connie noticed some little fish swimming under us in the seagrass. We tried to remain as still as possible so that we could see them, but the waves and the sun prevented us from getting a good view. My Mom said is would be so nice if we had some scuba gear, like snorkels and goggles, so we could see everything clearly. We realized we did not have an easy way to get these since we were way out in the water.
Zach said he would not mind going back into the shore and going to some of the local stores to look for them. He headed out and about thirty minutes later came back to say that all of the stores that sold that type of equipment were closed since it was Sunday. We looked around the beach to see if anyone had some we could borrow but no one did. Willow said that she thought she saw one of our neighbors bring snorkels and goggles back to their house the other day. The quest was on once
Moreover we went to ziplines in the moutains of cancun. The ziplines took about 2 hours to get to because we had to go all the way up a mountain. We got to the ziplines and got our helmets
As I road into town, brushing the dust off my Stetson, I sighed in relief. The dusty trails of Texas can really take a tole on a man. I was tired, and made my way straight to the Golden Coral Inn. I hadn’t heard much of the happenings of this town and was curious, but being a man of few words, I decided to just sit back in the lounge and listen to what was to be said. It was interesting, as talk up this way normally is. I heard there was a range war goin’ on a little ways out of town, between an old timer and a stronger, more powerful ranch. The bigger ranch, the Circle J, was wantin’ the land that the little ranch had. The littler ranch, the T Bar, wasn’t sellin’ though. He was gettin’ his cows rustled and every other dirty trick in the book. I was about to head up to my room when I heard a name that stopped me dead in my tracks: Tom Wesley.
Everyone has a different perspective on what their special place would be some might be their back yard while for others it could be in a different city that they visit often or a vacation home. For me it would be in Miami,FL.I consider it to be my special place because of the food, music,South Beach, and family .Many people know of South beach due to a lot of movies being filmed there. While for others, such as myself ,were born and raised there. If someone ever gets the opportunity to visit they should take it.
I live on Turtle Point Cove in North Ridge, it's just a little bit into Saltillo. I’ve grown up in that house. I live next to my close friends. I live near my cousins, they live just a couple houses down from us. Almost every weekend we all have a cookout and we either go to my friends house or ours, since we are next door neighbors if never matters whose house it’s at.
East Coast is known for so many different things; people, history, fashion, stores, and heritage. But the most recent trend is desserts. Desserts can be sweet, savory, healthy or unhealthy. Desserts make people feel happy especially east coasters.
While I was a kid my family and I used to go on bike rides all the time to anywhere you could think of. We would go boating everyday in the summer. We would ski, wakeboard, go tubing and many more. Go tubing was one of the funniest memories I have boating because the thrill you get is unbeatable trying to hold on for dear life. Anothering thing we did as a family was go on vacation everywhere. The road trips were always fun because we would bring our dog turbo. The one trip that will never be forgotten is North Carolina. We go there every year with family friends and it will be a trip on go on with my kids.
The thing that I miss most about summer is King's island. I had a pass so I could go when I wanted to and it was always a fun time. It is a good time to hang out with friends and go on rides. My favorite ride there is the beast because it isn’t too bumpy and it has a ton of sharp turns and caves. It also is slightly scary with all of the fake warning signs. The food at Kings Island is also decent so I wouldn’t have to go get lunch. If I get tired of the rides then I can go on the water rides and the wave pool. The water rides don’t usually have the longest of lines if you get there early but if not then they are worth it. My favorite overall is the Tropical Plunge. This ride has the drop shoot, You stand in a vertical tube and you wait for the countdown and the floor drops underneath your feet. You then shoot down the tube and you make it to the end. All of these factors make Kings Island a very fun place, and the thing that I miss the most from summer.
There I was sitting in the tender, which has just set off from the Veendam, hoping not to
The United States has always been “home” to me because I feel that I am a bit of the quintessential American story. I was born to immigrants hoping for a better opportunity than what was offered from their third world home country. I was raised and went to school here, which blended many of my parent’s home culture and the new American culture. As I have matured, I have noticed how much my life has been influenced by society’s opportunities and issues. The American character is the crossroads of opportunity, struggle, and hopefulness because the it is not only a reflection of the founding father’s ideas, but also a reflection of minorities who have interjected their experiences that shaped my American journey.
It was October 24th, 2012, when my sister and I were watching the news. We sighed as the waves we once played in had destroyed the beach house that belonged to our beloved grandma. The boardwalk we once walked with our family was destroyed. The rides we once road were in the water. Our hearts broke as we watched the pine tree my grandfather once planted sway back and forth. How could Mother Nature destroy the places we have vivid memories of?
My favorite place in Rhode Island is Federal Hill because of it historical history and it's nice restaurants, bars and a few shopping area. I love hanging out over there with my friend and sometimes we go and watch the live band while we dinning or just having a drink while enjoying the sight, especially at night time.
Starting this journey, Capt. and I knew we had friends to visit all along the Eastern seaboard and we were so looking forward to seeing them all. We spent time with friends in Wrightsville Beach and the next friends to visit are in Charleston. Before we even pulled in, I sent emails and track down my dear friends it had been too long since I had seen. We all still had to go to work so we planned to spend Friday evening together. It would be dinner and getting reacquainted. I wanted to show off our beautiful home so we planned hors d’oeuvres on the boat and then dinner together someplace they would know to be good.
When I turned back in the direction of my group, they were gone! I started to panick and began swimming in that direction franticly. How could I lose my group? I thought. I started to slow down only to spot a colorful coral reef. I’ve never actually stopped by one so I don’t really know what it’s like. Me being my curious self, decided to go for it. As I was swimming toward the reef, I saw a tuna fish.
One lucky day, I had the chance to visit the wonderful world of outdoor toys. I walked into that store
I headed out to the water after setting up my towel. The shock of the frigid water took my breath away and I was momentarily stunned. However, I quickly recovered; finding my body adjusts rapidly to the cold water. I waded a few feet into it before leaning forward and swimming out. I didn't dare to go too far though, instead turning to swim parallel to the shore. I was comforted by the sounds of the ocean; the rhythmic pounding of the waves represses all of my worries. I looked into the cloudless cerulean blue sky and see the perfection of life. Just when I was starting to get tired and wanted to go back to the shore, I saw something.
