“Hey, kids, you wanna go for a ride in the car?” Mama yelled out the front door of the little white four room house our family of six lived in. We kids jumped up and down, yelling, “Yes, yes.” “Where we goin, Mama?” “Just get in the backseat of the car and you’ll see when we get there,” Mama replied as she scooted under the steering wheel of our beloved light gray Kaiser that was our only means of getting anywhere. Four kids crammed into the backseat, halfway sitting on top of each other and arguing the whole while over who’s going to get to sit next to the door. “First we have to stop and pick up Daddy from work,” Mama told us as she tried to calm the excitement we were all exhibiting, “then you‘ll find out where we’re goin.” The back seat, …show more content…
Not even close. It was the weekend. I was lucky enough to get to spend the weekend at my best friend’s house. She was a little more street smart than I was at that age, or at least she gave the impression that she had been around a while. Her parents were much more lenient than mine, and I really enjoyed her company. She and I concocted a plan for later that evening. As soon as her parents went to bed, we unlocked the back door and went back into her room. After we were pretty sure her parents were asleep, we climbed out her bedroom window to begin an adventure known as growing up. Freedom at last, at least for a few hours. We lived in a small town outside of Chicago, which had not yet been touched by crime. We weren’t afraid to walk the streets at night, how naïve. I remember the blue Ford Galaxy that pulled up to the curb, windows rolled down. Did we want to go for a ride? Well, of course we did. That was the reason we crawled out that bedroom window in the first place. Two guys in a nice ride, why not? We were ready to be teenagers and do the things teenagers do. I wasn’t really sure what that was, yet, but I was ready to learn. My friend Vicky jumped in the front seat, and I jumped in the backseat with the best looking guy I’d ever seen. It was love at first sight. We never did give them our real names. Chances are they didn’t give us their real names either. It was scary and exciting to be …show more content…
Adolescents have also been known to sleep in the backseat. Seventeen happens to be a special age when the decisions being made are not always in one’s best interest. It’s a time when the road to adulthood can take unexpected turns, like the night a couple friends and I decided to have someone buy us a twelve-pack of beer. We all knew we were treading in dangerous waters, but lack of experience, poor judgement, and the desire for having a good time prevented us from making the best decisions that evening. At least we had enough sense to know we should get out of town to prevent getting caught, so we traveled down a country road looking for a quiet, private place to park and drink our beer. A farmer’s field with a lane down one side looked perfect. Two of us sat in the backseat while the other friend sat behind the wheel. It started getting late and began to rain, so we decided it was time to head home. The car started with ease, however, when it was put in reverse and given a little gas, it didn’t move. The tires just began spinning. We pulled forward a little, hoping to get better traction, tried backing up again, but the tires continued to spin every time we put the car in reverse. I hate sleeping in the backseat when it’s raining and cold, and no one’s around to help get me out of the rut I’ve dug myself into. The next morning, a farmer showed up with a tractor and pulled the car to safety. Lesson
I approached the vehicle and asked MD why she was driving without someone 21 years of age in the vehicle and she informed me that she just wanted to hang out with friends and watch the fireworks. I asked MD if anyone in the vehicle had consumed alcohol and she told me no.
Lex and I are racing then Lex ram into me and I went off the road into the trees and my R34 v-spec started to roll. Then, Sandra my sister comes and gets me out of the car and calls Ando, and Andy telling them to bring the tow truck and get the car out. After, she called them she rushed me to the hospital and they took back my car to my auto part store It’s named after me Dani. Next, I remember hearing sirens but I didn’t know if the cops were chasing us or something else was happening but I tried not to worry too much. Now, it passed like an half an hour and the car stopped and my sister yelled 緊急時対応に役立てる! which means help it’s an emergency and nurses came out rushing with a wheeled stretcher. When they put on the
It was a brisk foggy afternoon that was soon to turn to night. John had just waved by to all his friends at the party. It was a thirty minute drive home down some back roads in the country. Five minutes down the road it got dark and foggy, John was trying to get home as fast as he could safely. He was surrounded by open fields and corn fields on all sides. Then before he knew it his truck started to stall for an unexplainable reason. John immediately started to panic but tried to stay calm the best that he could. His truck came to a complete stop and there he was on a back road in the middle of nowhere. The only thing that he could see in front of him was a mailbox with a long drive with cornfields on both sides. John had no other option in the world
It's Friday, March 25 in the morning at about 7:00 am when my mom wakes all of us up to get ready to leave. On the way to Minnesota we were driving, but still in suamico, we stopped at a Kwik Trip gas station to fill up the tank. We all were thirsty so we got a water from the cooler in the back of the truck, but my brother Roy spilled his all over himself and on the seats.”Good thing it's just water.” My mom said. As we drove across the imaginary line splitting Wisconsin with Minnesota there was a big rock carved into the shape of Minnesota that said, “Welcome To Minnesota.” When we were on the highway we almost got into two major accidents, the first one was when we had an open lane ahead the driver to the right of us tried coming into our lane right next to us and put our left two tires
The first time I drove. So, my grandmother decided to risk here life to teach me to drive for only two blocks. And my grandmother was a horrible teacher because she is used to standard cars and not automatic, so she puts her feet on both the gas pedal and the brake. Anyways, I can't believe that the car seems to go so fast and I was only going 5 mph! And then, I didn't know how to brake and my grandmother almost hit her head on the dash! Luckily, we made it
I had been driving for two hours, but I didn’t care. Beams of sunlight glimmered through the gaps between buildings, and the cityscape was alive with light. It was a good day for diving, and I was a good driver. It was a perfect combination and I couldn’t help but smile. Mom undid the windows and her smile matched mine as her long grey hair danced in the rushing air. “Enjoying it, Mom?” I asked, waking her from a trance. “Yes, Robert” she replied, her voice cooler than the morning. The engine purred smoothly as I navigated the car gently through the turnpikes sharp curve. Ahead, a large truck spouted black stacks of exhaust high into the air, leaving a path clear of traffic in its wake. Behind it, a lone blue convertible cruzed comfortably, taking advantage of the now open road. Despite being a couple of

On October 31, 2017, my mom expected me to be home by 12:00am. I was driving at night and noticed that I was only forty-five minutes away. I thought about taking a shortcut through the woods. The roads appeared to be working after being reconstructed. The only thing that caught my attention was a sign. I looked at the sign and noticed that I had to be careful of how I drive. I normally drive 60 mph on highways. Sometimes, I go faster than that. I took exit 240 to get home. Ten minutes later, another sign appeared. On this sign, it mentions construction ahead. Since the road was fine, I thought it would not matter. I drove straight down the road without being nervous. I suddenly had a phone call from my mother. She asked, “Where are you?” I told her that I was only ten minutes away.
We got the entire house packed in one day, leaving a bunch behind. I’m starting to become a bit anxious. I’m nervous, but also excited to see the adventure and fun Georgia can hold. Mom and I got into the car and started driving, Dad followed behind in the moving truck. We started driving there, this is going to be the longest ride ever. I put on headphones and fell asleep.
As I felt the truck buck, I knew I that hadn’t switched gears properly. The engine shut off and the evening dragged on. “You killed it,” my father told me. I restarted the old truck up and tried driving again. Learning to drive was very difficult for me, but I needed to learn so that I could transport my brother and me to school and wherever else we needed to go. I waited to get behind the wheel of an automobile until I finished the dull driver’s education class that my parents had signed me up for a month after turning fifteen. I thought that I would easily pick up driving since I had passed all the written tests without any problems, but I was wrong.
last year in the summertime for $7000 the emptor came down from Kentucky to come plectron it up. The second auto I bought was a Infiniti g37 coupe I pay $8300 for the railroad gondola and the auto had been rear ended so it needed some work to get it road worthy. In repair s I paid $3500 in total around $12,000 was invested in purchasing with repair I still have this car haven’t been sell yet. I also have a second car that I drive and its Honda civic I had bought this 3 month ago for a steal $1000 no damage car was good in chassis that’s what I am daily driving right now.
“ Vroom” the engine on the dirt bike roared like a lion. The white painted dirt bike with a red seat and red hand grips. I sat down on the seat as the engine rattled the frame. The silver exhaust smoked with a white wall of smoke floating in to the sky. The black treaded tires where digging into the dirt of the ground ripping up the green plush grass. My helmet squeezing and pushing my head against the padding of the helmet squishing my ears up against my head.
Have you ever had a friend that stayed with you for over 12 years? I have, and it's been a long and exciting ride. Let me take you through this story that lasted that long. It all started when I was three years old. My Mom and Dad bought a Spider-Man bike. At the time the bike was too big for me so I had to wait until I was old enough to ride it. Finally, I was big enough to ride the little piece of metal on wheels I was waiting to ride for what felt like ages. my Mom, Dad and I went to Kennedy Park. I envisioned that I was going to crash. Although I was scared to ride that fear turned into excitement. Before I knew it, my Dad pushed me and my little red and blue bike down a grassy hill. That little moment got me that much closer to what
I got my dog almost one year ago. We got him on november second 2014. Me and my sister had begged our parents to get us a dog but they kept saying no. THe day that we ended up getting him my parents just said that we were going camping. They said we were going camping in a cabin a few miles from Bend Oregon.
Somehow, I managed to recognize my house and stepped onto the dark front porch. It was covered in dark metal and one tiny, green car on the driveway. I don’t remember our family having a green car? I rang the doorbell, waiting hopefully for one of my parents to open the door. But, the person that opened the door was not one of my parents or siblings. It was a whole different person I didn’t know! I stood there for a moment, staring at the person, which she did too. She had glistening green eyes flecked with spots of dark brown. Feeling shocked, I ran away, running as fast as I could. My brown hair flying in the wind and my light brown eyes wide open. I was so confused on where my family was. Maybe that was my mom and she just looked completely
