This summer is definitely going to be the worst summer ever. My mother forced me to get a job, so I am working for the local thrift store. Even the name of the store bores me: Plainview Thrift Store. Every single day I do the same exact thing. I empty boxes, and hang up old clothes that people donated. Nothing eventful ever happens, and I have nobody to talk to. If it were up to me, I’d much rather be spending my summer chillin’ at the beach with my friends. How am I supposed to get a tan working in here? Today starts out like every other summer day. I wake up at the ungodly hour of 6 A.M. and begin preparing to leave for work. Surely, I cannot keep it. Do I call the police, or should I just tell Mr.T? After debating over what to do, I finally decide to tell Mr. T. He is a good man, and knows what’s right. For sure, he’ll know what to do. I emerge from the bathroom and call over Mr. T. When he arrives, I see in his face that he is agitated. “What is it darling? Please make it quick, I just got the craziest phone call.” How was I supposed to say this quickly? We’re talking about $11,900, not some silly phone call. When I take the stack out of my pocket, before I even speak, Mr. T blurts out, “Where did you get that? You better tell the truth because I know I didn’t pay you that much money. No whimsical stories.” Hoping he would believe me, I respond, “Sir, I found it in the pocket of one of the coats. I swear, that’s exactly what happened. It’s $11,900, I counted.” “Madison, I trust you, and you better not make me regret that. So, if you are telling the truth..” “I swear sir, I am.” “Okay, then we have a problem. I just received a phone call from an anonymous man saying that we stole $11,900 from him, and he is going to call the police if we don’t return it by 11:00 tonight. It looks like we’ve been set
