As a 7th grader in middle school, I was put into a situation where I became really good friends with people of a different nationality. Over Winter Break, a family from Japan moved into my neighborhood and just so happened that the house they were moving into was directly across the street from mine. As time progressed I began to see him outside playing baseball, a popular sport in Japan, with his dad and brother. One day I felt that I should go introduce myself to them, so I walked over and had a good conversation. All children in Japan take english classes which helps them become quite fluent. Of the two boys, one was a 7th grader, Shogo, and the other was a 5th grader, Gota. I quickly became friends with them and learned to respect
When we came back from spring break i was on the baseball team this is a big surprise because surprise because i am bad at the game. When our first practice came around we were talking about fundamentals of the game. When i was listening i was confused because he wasn't making sense nor was he giving us the right information. One example is when you dip you shoulder and hit a pop up you dip your back shoulder and he said you dip your front shoulder.
It was the week before spring break and little did I know I was about to have the time of my life. It all started when my mom told my sister and I we were going someplace special for spring break. My sister automatically assumed we were going to Disney World. Me and my mom didn’t like that idea much, but it was already decided my sister and I just didn’t know yet but we were about to find out. Then my mom told us we were going to Branson. Of Course me and my sister had know problem with that.
During the spring break of 2015, my brother who was 10 at the time of the traumatic event, had a grand mal seizure at 8:21 in the morning. When I saw him having the seizure I sat in the recliner and felt completely and utterly useless. As his older brother it was extremely traumatic for me because I couldn’t help him and I just sat there feeling as if it was my fault that this happened. All I could do was just watch him shake and writhe on the couch. We were staying at my grandparents’ house and my grandma had dealt with a child that had seizures. So my grandma told us we would wait fifteen minutes and if he didn’t come to his senses we would call the paramedics. Well low and behold he didn’t come out of it so we called 911 and we waited for
Spring break was very interesting for me. Two weeks can change people a whole lot.
I thought it was going to be a typical day during my last spring break as a high school student. I wake up to the sound of my phone ringing and answer reluctantly. It’s my very good friend Jayleen Guadarrama. She tells me to get ready because we’re going shopping with my other great friend, Susi. I take my time to get ready and I suddenly get a text from Jayleen saying she’s already in my driveway. I hop out of the shower and throw one of my favorite outfits. Then I remember that I am broke as anyone can be-- I had no cash on me! I didn’t care, I just wanted to spend time with my friends. I get in the car and we’re off! We start blasting our favorite music as we speed down to Chicago. After a quick shopping spree and selfie photo shoot in an
During Summer Break, I mow the Sykeston St. Elizabeth Cemetery for my SAE. The church provides the lawn mower and trimmer, but I have to bring my own gas. Furthermore, I currently hold President of the Carrington FFA Chapter, in 2016, we organized Meals of Hope to provide food to those in need. The entire Student Body participated and we packaged over 51,000 meals beating the goal of 50,000 in 2 hours. I am also the Secretary of the Rural Raiders 4-H Club in Foster County, I enter static exhibits, show livestock, rabbits, and poultry. These many experiences relate to my educational goals by the traits of success, leadership, cooperation, and gratitude. These traits will help me be honest and fair in the game of
Over Christmas break, I mostly accomplished nothing. First, on Friday, I had my birthday. When I got home from the bus, I was already expected a letter from Reagan to see if I got in or not. I first went to the kitchen counter and , of course, the MPS letter was already open, suggesting my Mom opened it. On the top of the paper it showed the name of the High School that I applied to and below it, it showed the words yes or no. A surprised look came over my face when it said yes to all the high schools listed. To sums things up, I got into Reagan, Rufus King, and Hamilton high school. Next, to celebrate my birthday, my family and I went to the 5 o'clock steakhouse, which happens to open at 5 o'clock. Then, throughout the rest of the break ,
I remember cooling on the block, with just a couple of my goons. We was smoking till we choked and looking for a wave. This was the first day of spring break. The previous day my cousin was telling me about how he had a hoe who was cool with the oppositions. I wasn’t really worried about it, but little did I know she was going to come in handy later on. It was just one of them days we was looking to drill something. This particular opposition was one me and the set had problems with for years now. There were many recent altercations with him. His name was Malachi, his hood name was Flash Petty, but we just called him Petty.
Over Christmas Break my family and myself went to Naples Florida. We spent the New Years there and did many other fun things. We went to the everglades,we went to a tour to see different animals and nature, and I got to blow glass and make a glass bowl on my own, with a instuctor of course.
At the time, I was at Lake middle school, it was almost winter break. I was 14 years old. Joyfully, I am anticipating leaving school for winter break. Obviously I am leaving because we were about to get let out of school. During that moment, I was feeling really excited. I couldn’t wait to get home.
What I did this summer. That`s a good question to be honest, I did a lot of things that were considered fun for me, like shopping, hanging out with my family, hanging out with my friends, going to the beach, the water park and much more. But I will only break it down to two or three of my favorite things I did this Summer, so stick around to see what my favorite things about this Summer were.
Over spring break I went over to my cousins house to stay the night. I haven’t seen them in a while and i really missed them. Courtney and my cousin Angel picked me up from my house in Tri Lakes. They live in Pierceton so we had some time to catch up with one another, and talk about how we were doing. We laughed and had a good time in the car. At 6 we had to leave to go to the skating rink in Warsaw. It was Faith and Brennan’s first time ever going skating. My cousin Courtney’s sister brought her niece Liberty and nephew Jess it was there first time as well. So us older kids Angel and I had to help them and teach them how to skate. It was a fun experience for me. I didn’t know what to expect at first or how I would help them. They were scared at first I had to gain their trust and let them know that I wasn’t going anywhere. We had a little mess ups. I fell down really hard on my
Over winter break, my sister and I had too much free time surrounded by each other and tensions were already elevated. To add to the already malicious situation, my sister decided to wear my favorite pair of jeans and proceeded to claim they were hers when I questioned her about the incident the next day. Since an argument was inevitable, my sister and I gave up on trying to explain ourselves, but I was still frustrated. During the rest of break I contemplated stealing one of her sweaters and wearing it, then claiming the article of clothing was my own. It seemed so easy and so satisfying to enact the same annoyances she had given me with no punishment in sight. Fortunately, I regained enough cognitive thought to not go through with my vengeful
One rainy day on christmas break, Ryan and I were pushing our own dump trucks, having a blast. I soon came up with the idea to put me in the back of the truck and push me around the yard.We were so happy for this idea. We both wanted to get my baby brother and push him, and we did.
Even though it has been all of a day, this “break” has been a good time for me to do a lot of reflecting and it is making me realize several things. I didn’t expect for my withdrawals from you would set in so quickly; they did almost immediately. Tuesday night is when we decided to do this. We got off of the phone at maybe 11:30. By 11:40, I had tears running down my face and i was talking everything out with John, trying to figure out how to fix this. I wasn’t able to fall asleep until 2:30 at least, and sleeping was impossible. I remember two dreams from that night. The first one: we were in my car, and I was driving from my house to yours. There was nothing significant or special about the. It was dark, and my arm was reached over you. You were holding on to it, and that’s it. It was quiet but it was peaceful because I was with you. My next dream was different. I dreamed that I woke up in my bed here, and I checked my phone and had two new messages from you, I don’t remember what they said but I remember being excited to just see your name pop up on my phone. I woke up at 6:45 that next morning. I looked at my phone and the texts weren’t there. I realized that I was
