Samantha Cielinski/More than happily I am excited that this weekend I have arrangements to just hang out around my house as well as to be with my family. I started my arrangements last night. Furthermore, last night my dad and I watched barrel racing in Little Falls. Extremely hungry dad and I decided that we should eat. Therefore, before we went to the arena we went to Sue’s Drive in for hamburgers with a dessert of ice cream. Having the most wonderful time, we were ready to be able to go to bed and sleep.
Today I will be attending my uncle’s cancer benefit in Oak Grove with all of my aunts, uncles, along with my cousins. Ordinarily there will be a silent auction, I will take a guess that my family will receive some items. We have wanted
It was a small town in Cornersville, Ohio. Nothing much ever happened in this small town until one day. A new family moved in one afternoon. Everyone was surprised because no one even noticed the house being built. Everyone was still delighted that they moved in because the couple, Bob and Nancy, were very friendly. Bob and Nancy helped with all the activities in town and were very generous. A couple of weeks after they moved in, a lot of strange things began. Money started disappearing, the lights in the town went out every night except for Bob and Nancy's lights, even people's pets went missing. One night, everyone's lights went out at 11:30 as usual, except there was an extremely loud noise. The neighbors went outside to see where all the
Hi guys! This past weekend we were graced with a much needed fall break. After a few weeks of constant studying, it was nice to have a four day weekend to sit back and relax. After my two tests on Friday I drove seven hours to meet my dad and my girlfriend's dad in Pittsfield Illinois for a few day hunting trip at a lease that my dad has. It was a long drive, but it was worth it when I arrived to a 16oz prime rib at one of my favorite restaurants, the Red Dome. Unfortunately the corn and soybeans had not yet been cut around our farm so we did not see as many deer as usual, but we still had fun and relaxed for a few days.
On 1/16/17 at 0225 hours my partner, Officer Thebeau #8402, and I were working patrol assigned to unit 3A11. We responded to a radio call of “shots fired” in the area of 814 N. Garfield Ave. The comments of the call stated, a 19 year old female was shot in the hand.
I responded to Magnolia Wood Lodge in reference to a dirorderly call. Upon arrival, I made contact with Nathan Mosley. Mosley stated that one of the residence(Cedrice Barnes) was being very un cooperative and attempting to hit them with closed fist. Nathan Mosley, Angela Lewis and Cessiley Colwell, were all victims of the situation. Officer attempted to walk Barnes back to his room. Officers ended up getting Barnes back in his room, which was room 11. Officer's then talked with Barnes and explained the issue with him. Barnes started being un compliant and started throing closed fist at the employes. I then pinned Barnes agaist the wall and pulled out my pepper spray. When I released Barnes, he pushed me. Barnes was then told to placed his
A few months after Shayla was born my family decided to move to Canal Winchester. This was a big deal because moving means a new school. The next school year Desiree, James, and I were going to Tussing Elementary. We went there for a year and while I was there I was able to make dean’s list. The following year we were moved to Pickerington Elementary due to Tussing being overcrowded. After 4th grade I went to Diley Middle School, and while I was there I was able to have a spectacular time at Outdoor Edu. Before the school year was up my family moved to Reynoldsburg. When the school year was about to start I learned that I was going to be going to Lakeview Junior high instead of Ridgeview. The transition was much harder for me this time than
Green, black and white, the colors we represented from kindergarten on. The pride we had for Southlake Carroll was indescribable. Our Friday nights consisted of the lights of the stadium and families who eat, sleep and breathe “The Tradition”. We were raised to become the Dragons or in my case the endless hours of training to become an Emerald Belle wasn’t an option, it was a lifestyle. Although Southlake is known for great academics the favoritism was very noticeable. I was spoiled with the leniency of the teachers who felt sympathy for my fourteen hour days. I got free passes and green lights, not gonna lie, it was pretty great. When I got hurt and my training to become the highly idolized Emerald Belle came to an end, so did the free passes.
My mind will often wander to all the places I've lived in and all those I would love to travel to, or visit again. I think of the streets of Santa Fe, how fresh it would be compared to the over 100 degree temperature of were I am now, the hot dry heat of El Paso, Texas, a place I often come back to, the soil were my roots are permanently ingrained. El Paso has grown significantly in the past 10 years alone and is now the sixth most populous city in Texas (World Population Reviw). It's far from it's days when it was widely known as “El Chuco,” or “ChucoTown,” nicknames whose origins and meaning have long been debated, but no matter how much of the new generation is unfamiliar with these terms the history lives on through the streets and current
I'm from Round Rock, or for those of you who don't know where that is, we'll just go with Austin. Round Rock is great and you can find activities to find on some occasion, but when I am in Austin I am never bored. I used to go downtown a lot when I was younger with my Mother, Father, and older sister, but as my parents became busy and my sister and I became more involved in school we make the 20-minute travel to Austin less and less. I grew up with my two sisters and mother in the safety and growing town of Round Rock, but when I was able to drive my friends and I would make the drive downtown to enjoy the ambiance of Austin. I was given more freedom than my older sister was given in high school, but I couldn't complain my mother trusted me
Closer to the day that I was going to leave NAS Willow Grove I called my folks and told them when I was going to go home. My family was very happy that at last I was going to be with them, and Dad told me he was going to drive from West New York to the base, and pick me up to take me home. I was looking forward to seeing my parents once again. I had a lot of things I wanted to tell them, so many stories of my adventures of the past months. I was also looking forward to getting home and seeing what college I could go to now that I felt more confident about myself.
Growing up in rural North Carolina was both a blessing and a curse. My hometown, Fallston, North Carolina, is a tiny town way off the beaten path. Most people speak with a southern accent, are devout christians, vote Republican, think camouflage is a normal fashion pattern, and adore country music. But while I was a child, none of these things were a problem. I never realized how close-minded everyone was or how there were no opportunities for success; I was too concerned with the three most important events of the year: the Fallston FunFest, the Belwood Tractor Pull, and the Cleveland County Fair. However, as I grew older, zeal wore off and reality set in. I started to realize how conservative and restrictive it was. What little Fallston offered,
Nolanville ,Texas was where it all began. I was about fifteen or so my sisters and I were walking to the buss stop . The big brother Iam trying to make sure my sisters are safe. I told my sister to get off to the side of the road . It was early in the morning around six to seven am. The typical time for school to start around . I have a really big family to be exact I have five sisters and myself which is the only boy being the second oldest the buss stop was about about a mile or so not very far from my house on the corner of the street a black car sped through the street as I was on the right hand my sister sarah the middle child started to cross the road as I saw the saw went to go yell the car hits her projecting into the air the car was
I spent the first six years of my life in Locust Grove, a suburb of Atlanta, playing next door at my cousin Jordan’s house. Spending many hot summers playing pirates on the giant water slide his parents bought for him, is one my most fond memories from Locust Grove. I loved my time there, but eventually, my father lost his job at General Mills and we had to sell our house. Moving even farther south to Tifton, Georgia, my favorite place in the world, was an easy move. In Tifton we would be living with my grandparents, Uncle Jed, who was only sixteen at that time, and my Great-grandparents. The pool made up for the number of people living there.
I grew up in Forestdale, Alabama no matter how far i go that’ll always be what i call home Birmingham made me who i am i made many mistakes there but I also had plenty accomplishments there to that is where i was brought up at i will always visit there. I will try to come there every chance I get and just hang out with old friends and talk with family like i use too when i was younger. It made me who I am because it was a place i’ve always felt safe and could call home no matter what happens i know that place will always be there for me and I will always have someone who loves me unconditionally and always be there for me I will always get greeted with a hug and a smile. The place i feel loved the most is my great aunt's house in Forestdale
I remember it like it was yesterday. A couple years back, my backyard had to share its grass with a maple tree. This tree wasn’t a typical tree; this monstrosity stood at almost 90 feet tall and extended across my entire yard. I attempted to wrap my eight year-old arms around the trunk, but I had better luck trying to bend steel with my hands. I stepped outside once, and asked my dad why the grass was brown. He replied simply, “When’s the last time you saw the Sun touch the grass?” He was right. The tree served as an umbrella over the entire lawn.
June 17, 2012 was the date, and some storms were rolling into the area. I have storm chased many times in my life so this was not much different than other storms. The real difference was that this was in my neck of the woods. Radar indicated a particularly strong bow echo headed into the area, with straight line winds ranging from 50-70mph. I had decided to drive out just really to see the lightning storm from a distance, not terribly far from my home at the time, just south of Atwater, MN. I convinced my partner at the time to join me, as we both like watching lightning filled clouds. This being later in the evening we failed to take into account how rapidly the skies can darken. Nevertheless, we stayed out watching the approaching storms. We took our truck out to a high hill in the area to watch and enjoyed a pretty decent show, but we then decided to move further north to a more active cluster. We headed a few miles north highway 12 here in Kandiyohi County and parked, waiting and watching, as we really didn’t expect this storm to be really serious. Mother Nature had other plans. As we sat there in the vehicle and listened to the radio, we heard the news. Funnel clouds spotted, radar indicating powerful winds. Just then we received a call from one of our friends who knew we were out watching. The message, get to safety. According to my friend, there were other spotters chatting on radio about other rotating clouds near our location. Just as I was going to ask for more
