Hi, its me Sami again with another wonderful writing to tell you. This writing will be about the first day back to my grandparents and how I met my new cousin Gina. Oh how do I love that day. Anyways, lets get to the story. So my trip to Wisconsin started out great. Had a little “Bumps”in the road. It all started with the fight that happened three years ago and I just seen my grandparents now. Yeah the fight was terrible… But anyways, we got to Eagle River Wisconsin. A beautiful place where my grandparents lived. There house was on a hill and it was so beautiful. The first day we got there we met my dadś step brother. He is really nice. And he has a daughter named Gina. She is Columba in South America. Anyways, we met her and him and they
While we sat in our rambling tan and yellow cabin among the trees at 416 Spencer Falls Lane at Big Bear Lake, we watched the gloomy rain fall all morning long. Finally, the storm passed and the dark gray clouds passed over, the sun shone brightly on the wet grass. Yes, the day soon was as pleasant as any other august day, of course we knew it was frequently the case with a warm summer rain. This time, however, the rain had swelled the river washed away our small wooded bridge. Elaine my youngest sister sat beside the washed out bridge, she was so unhappy because it was loss. It was then that a shiny blue convertible drove up beside her, the four of us, our names are: William, Martina, Ella and David, watched as the car approached, it was around
One day in Nebraska, Bill was riding in his brand new 1970 chevelle. He was thinking if he could bring it to a drag strip and race that would be great. So he got online to check if there were any events and there happened to be one in one day. So he got his car all cleaned up and tooned out for the race. The next day he got up and got ready for a great day. He got into his car and head off to the drag race track. Once he got there he got his car all ready for the race just to make sure. His opponent was very experienced and you could tell he has been racing for a while. So Bill got nervous but he was ready. His opponent had a very fast car that might have had even more power than his chevelle.
Looking back out of the small window, I catch a final glimpse of corn fields and lonely railroad crossings before they dip below the horizon. For my first time on a plane, the excitement of adventure meets me as I depart from the comfort of home and enter a world unknown outside of Nebraska. Seeing the world in God’s view as the landscape evolves below, I fall in love with flying. Looking down from 30,000 feet and seeing earth on such a vast scale, I realize how much there is to discover.
I meet my Grandparents and Mexico because of my mom. “Jamie we are going to Mexico and you will your Grandparents” said my mom “What!”. The time had come I had to say bye to my dad and get into the plane. “Bye dad I will miss you so much” “You will come back Jamie, I will miss you too” my dad answer. We got to Mexico City and my Grandpa was at the airport waiting for us. We got to the town I had never seen so many people all my family was there the family of my dad and mom. I didn't know what to do I was barely 5 years old. They had make tamales and don't remember what else. I just wanted to do is go back to the US. “Dad, I can’t talk, I'm heading out right now,” I said while hugging the phone with my shoulder up to my ear. He told me to be cautious on the roads, considering the blizzard we had just had a few days ago. It was an unusually calm day in the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. A perfect day to travel, the snow on the ground glistened as it had just been freshened with a new coat from the light snowfall early this morning. The sun was barely noticeable from the distance as the tip of it lit up the outline of city. It gave the trees a soft glow making it look like there were thousands of microscopic diamonds floating off the branches of the bare trees through the breeze, carrying them across the neighborhood and greeting themselves at the window
Michigan's capital and my current place of residence. DeWitt is wonderful place for children to spend their early years, and for many of my acquaintances, still a nice place to live. When I was young, Dewitt was a growing and friendly community. The atmosphere was brimming with positive attitudes and possibilities. It sounds corny, but honestly driving down the street, with every waving arm offering a warm welcome, you would think you entered a cheesy family sitcom neighborhood.
Have you been to Wisconsin Dells? One day we finished packing are bags and left out. It’s a two-hour trip and it just began. I was so excited it felt like five hours. We finally got there I got out of the van and stretched. We walked in sighed in and went to unpack at the motel.
During the summer I went to South Dakota for a national tumbling meet. In South Dakota I also went to Mt. Rushmore, a car museum/scavenger hunt, and the tumbling meet.
It was a sunday in August, I woke up so happy . It would be my first time out of Michigan. I was going with my big sister, my best friend and two other friends. When I say I was happy I was happier then than a baby when you give it chocolate for the first time. I said my goodbyes to my mom and I was off. We were at the checkpoint so that we could get on the bus.It was crowed and it was hot because the sun was out. It did not make it any better because the line was as long , like a giraffe's neck. We finally got checked in and took our seats on the bus. Then we hit the highway. People were yelling and laughing .We heard HONK ,HONK, BEEP, BEEP, from the cars the next 4 hours. When we finally got off the bus it felt like we
The drive to Vermont was one of the longest drives I have ever been on. Other than going to Ohio and Ottawa it was the longest. It was a long time in the car that you live with everyday. It was 7 hours in the car. That was a lot of time to waist. We played a few games and listened to the radio but it was still only 3 hours in. We still had 4 more hours to kill. All i was doing was daydreaming about snowboarding. That's what I did for the next 7 hours
“Click click” was all I could hear from the seatbelts as we set off for Wisconsin this summer. The nerves were through the roof to get to our destination, “Wisconsin Dells, the waterpark capitol of the world”. This trip was gonna be all about having fun, unlike last year it was a nightmare. Sunburnt skin, and terrible stomach aches are no fun on a vacation.
Iowa was a complete new experience for me, and Minnesota was home for both Anthony and I. Between the two of us, I was the first to go off to college. Anthony had a week before he was going to be moving to Minneapolis. The week he had left in our hometown must have been before a lot harder for him than it was for me in Iowa City. Initial adjustment to living apart is often a very hard experience (Mendenhall, 2014c). It didn’t matter if we had three months of summer to prepare for this moment; it was going to be rough no matter what. Looking back now, I believe it must have been harder for Anthony at first. He had to drive by my neighborhood and try to not think about me, or drive by the lake where we would walk and not reminisce about the
It has been a pretty good year for both of us. Yes, we have had a couple down times and Karen DID get a flu shot this fall, but we have been blessed. Karen has a good friend in California who has stayed with us a couple times and invited Karen to come visit which she did in March. Great weather and a built in tour guide. I had a friend ask if I would be part of a group to get a 1904 Brennan running after 52 years in the Licking County Museum and who knows how many years in storage in Marysville. Well, that was three years ago and about two months ago, we got it to fire a couple times. We are hoping to get it running by the first of the year. I may live to see it in a parade.
A few years ago we went to Wisconsin for a hunt test for one of our dogs. She passed her Saturday test and we immediately started driving home. When it was late we stopped at a hotel for the night. When I woke up in the morning it was a warm, sunny Sunday. I put my hair in a quick, sloppy bun and took a shower. After taking a shower I forgot my hair was in a sloppy bun and we left. I of course hadn’t brushed it since it was in a bun. I always brush my hair before we go in places. My hair was extremely bedraggled! After an hour we stopped for gas. I went into the gas station with Daddy to pay and saw some people. A few hours later we stopped at Walmart to buy lunch and saw several people. I noticed a couple people glance at me like
