I woke up in my Santa Barbara house. With the ocean view outside my window, making me want to go back to sleep until I heard my two children scream at each other. I have a twelve-year-old boy named Lucas and a ten-year old girl named Daisy. My husband, Liam, has already left for work at PG&E. At the time I graduated he worked with my dad. We hosted a barbecue at my house and that was the start of things. He transferred to San Francisco where while I studied business at San Francisco University. I also played on the volleyball team there where we won college championships in 2025.
I got my kids ready to go to school for the day then I went to get ready for work. We got into my brand new 2044 BMW, which I got for my birthday from Liam. I dropped

We got merchandise today so, I’m unboxing it now.”
“Ok, I'll be there soon.”
Driving to the store I had a sense of excitement. Probably from all the new merchandise we were receiving. The day went by slowly eventually approaching lunch time. I had to do some errands during that time because I never have time to do it after work. I went to the post office which I haven't done in a while. As I walked back to my car browsing through the mail. Something unusual came up. It was an invitation to my 25th high school reunion. I didn’t go to any of the other ones since my schedule was/is so busy. Perhaps this year it would change. The day eventually came to an end. I was back at home with my husband and kids just like I end all my days. Except ii really wanted to check my calendar for the day of my reunion. June 25th was the day and that was a day I was free. I was so excited I could barely sleep that

I almost didn’t recognize you, you look totally different now. ” she said once she turned around to greet me. We started to talk and I found out she has her own business for aviation. As I was talking to her I spotted another one of my close friends in high school, Ashlyn Olah. “Faith! Hailey! I can’t believe you guys came! I haven’t seen you at past reunions!” Then all three of us started to get talking. They both really like how their lives turned out and so do I. Ashlyn became a sports medicine physician for the Giants and even married a guy on the team. As the night became darker and darker I became more tired. My husband and I crawled into our tiny tent that we had gotten at Wal-Mart real quick because we didn’t have any other one. I was uncomfortable laying on the ground but it was worth it because I got to reconnect with a few of my best friends from high school. We only spent the night at Lake Almanor because of how long the drive is. We greeted everyone in the morning and I had exchange my number with some of my high school friends. We started to pack up our car to head back down to Santa Barbara. Our babysitter was watching the kids today until we got back home. We said our goodbyes to everyone. Maybe next time I will really try to go. I never thought that the people in high school would still be able to be one of my friends
It was April of 1999. My family was at home. Children were running outside. The asphalt was burning. Cars rolled up to the entrance of the apartments and BANG. I grew up in Stockton, California. Surprisingly, as a minority, I wasn’t really a minority. There were, in fact, a large and diverse population of Asian-Americans. But, Stockton is not the ideal place to live. It was hot and dry, almost to the point of a drought. Stockton was also ranked as the one of the top 5 most dangerous cities in California. So, having a nice and safe family is kind of difficult. Eventually, my family decided to move to Crescent City, California when my dad retired. It was a world of difference. There were trees, plentiful water, and a nice cool temperature. This
We had a lot of laughs and talked a lot. It was awesome since my big sister, Catherine, who lives in New Orleans since she’s in her third year of dental school, came down with us for a little, and so I got to talk to her again and do stuff with her.
Once I got there, I heard my Mom yelling my name to come back. I bitterly walked back to my campsite. ”Mom I want to hang out with Ashley” I dolefully said.
Next was after prom this was fun for a few hours but then we all just annoyed we had to stay till five in the morning. After prom has so many fun things to do and the best food. Turpin always has the big snake that everyone takes pictures with. I personally hate snakes so my snake pictures are a site to see. Me and Colin snuck out early because we wanted to leave. When we left we were both so tired, he drove me home kiss me goodnight and I realize prom was one of the best nights of my life I'm so happy I didn't listen to other people's opinions because of this night would've never
we then walk to my uncles car and talk about stuff. then we drive to my house to pick up my brother and stuff. we arrived there my brother was surprised that he was here so soon. we picked up so stuff like clothes. and we sad good bye to friends and neighbor. Then we left and go to my grandmother that my fathers mother and other
Waking up and walking on the dried up, hot soil. Having the sun beating on your white face every morning. Birds zooming around the cactuses and singing a catchy tune. This is only the beginning of the best place in the universe, Tucson, Arizona. I have been visiting this place since I was a young child. My great grandparents built this house in Arizona 50 years ago. I have so many great memories.
I’ve learned that she was one of those popular people at school like I guessed, and the people at her school would always get close to her because of her popularity, but in reality they didn’t care who she was. Listening to her story like how the whirligig did with mine, I understood how her story was similar, but yet also different. My problem was not able to trust anyone after moving schools so many times, but she was that her friends were not worth it, they didn’t deserve her.
I was thinking about an item in my life that held great meaning, an object that was full of nostalgia, and at first, I thought of my acoustic guitar, but I realized that my blanket was the right topic to write about. It seems strange that something so simple could be so important, but it holds many memories of my childhood, which felt like a sturdy subject for this write-up. My blanket has a calming aroma that smells of flowers and fresh air, and that scent is what reminds me of the many things I have been through. For example, there were many times when I struggled with challenges in my life I would comfort myself by wrapping it around me.
I grew up for my first sixteen years in Miami, Florida, a large city on the southern east coast of Florida. My hometown is famous for it's lavish lifestyles and beaches. I however lived in a neighborhood far away from the beaches you would see on television. The closest beach for me was about an hour away. I remember my older sister and brother who could both drive taking me to the Keys and Miami Beach north of where we lived.
I didn’t really do anything. My mom went on vacation in Arizona and my dad had to work, so I was alone most of the time. I probably would have met up with Toella and/or Theo but Toella and I never got around to seeing each other and Theo had other priorities. It was still nice to have time to myself, though.
I open the front door and immediately see the 20 x 30 inch portrait we had professional taken last Winter. I see Adayln’s pearly white smile, Mason’s differently colored eyes that gleam brighter than a splash of water in sunlight. Tears rush down my pale face. I walk upstairs and into Kylar’s room. I am welcomed with his scent. His favorite colon, the one from Macy’s that Dad got him on his 8th birthday. He never missed a day without it on. I go to my room and gather my most prized belongings. The blanket that all six of us made at church, the small family collision of Kylar, Mason, Adayln, and I, the beaded necklace that Mason made me for my 13th birthday, the Pandora Ring that Mommy got me when I became a teenager, and so many more prized items that I fill it three moving boxes. I am ready to leave. I walk out and see my family smiling at
Graduation day arrived and I had butterflies out of this world. It seemed as if I misplaced everything. I could not find my dress. My family came from one state to another. I finally got to the church were the commencement was going to be held. I
As the end of the night approached us, I couldn’t stop thinking about how many mixed emotions I had about starting a whole new chapter in my life. I couldn't wait to go to college, meet all new people, get a degree so that I could start my career path, but I knew that meant I had to say goodbye to my two best friends, who were moving several hours away from me. This was one of the hardest things I had ever had to do in my life. We all cried a little, and then made promises to keep in touch, and then we were off into the real world! I was very happy to be at this point in my life, but I was scared deep down inside.
Monday, May 16th, graduation day. It’s 5:37 in the morning and I remember this cause I never wake up earlier than 8 unless I have to, but today I didn’t have to. It’s the day culminating twelve years of hard work and dedication into a three hour ceremony in which I will actually have to do something with my life other than a routine I believe I’ve perfected throughout these last four years. I roll over and pick up my phone, a dim light comes through a slit in my window shades just to remind me how early it actually is. I can’t fall back asleep so I decide to get out of bed. I sit up on my bed rubbing my eyes trying to make sense of the room around me, I may have lived here for 18 years but I can never find the cord to my ceiling light. I
We arrived at the school after thirty minutes of silence. As James and I left the car I saw my two best friends , Zephyr Balch and Raven Hence. Raven was in all of my classes and in every one I sat next to her, and Zephyr was in my homeroom and last period.
