The first four years of elementary, I attending two different schools in Eudora, Arkansas where I live. The first school I attending was Eudora G.C. Johns Elementary School. I think I was at that school for half of my kindergarten year before it was shut down & we relocated to Eudora High School for lower elementary kids. The Eudora High School students were then transferred to Lakeside High School to further their education & to graduate. The Eudora School District & Lakeside School District had combined. Therefore when we were done with our Third grade year we had to go to Lakeside to finish Fourth grade through Twelfth grade. Which was a dramatic change, I was new there but I wasn't alone. My cousin Makiya went to that school, we grew up
On April 08, 2016, I arrived to my designated school, Cypress Point Elementary School. Upon my arrival to Cypress Point Elementary School, I went to the main office of the school to see the assistant principal, Mrs. Dewitt. She could not make it to school on time, due to her having car troubles. The secretary told me she would notify her that I arrived and to set me. As I waited for Mrs. Dewitt, I noticed quite a few students having to call home due to violating the school dress code. Mainly it was more girls violating the dress code than boys. I am assuming from what I saw, the children only wore clothes that they saw the adults wore, or whatever their parents picked out for them. During this time, I noticed a little Asian or Hispanic boy being brought to school but he was supposed to be at home due to suspension. The secretary asked him “Why are you at school?” This young man told the secretary that his mother brought him to school. The secretary informed him that he needs to call his mother so that she
A few months after Shayla was born my family decided to move to Canal Winchester. This was a big deal because moving means a new school. The next school year Desiree, James, and I were going to Tussing Elementary. We went there for a year and while I was there I was able to make dean’s list. The following year we were moved to Pickerington Elementary due to Tussing being overcrowded. After 4th grade I went to Diley Middle School, and while I was there I was able to have a spectacular time at Outdoor Edu. Before the school year was up my family moved to Reynoldsburg. When the school year was about to start I learned that I was going to be going to Lakeview Junior high instead of Ridgeview. The transition was much harder for me this time than
Growing up in Chicago, I attended a neighborhood school from preschool through first grade. Although it was an exceptional school for elementary kids, the education for middle school and high school students was not as adequate. Seeking a better place to raise their children, my parents were faced with a tough choice. When I was in 2nd grade, our family made the decision to move to the suburbs. On July 3rd, we all packed into our Honda minivan and drove 45 minutes to a new home in the town of Winnetka. Within my first year at Crow Island, my new school, I learned so many new things. I started playing the violin and speaking Spanish, neither of which were offered at my old school. I met my best friends that I'm still close with now. Over the
It was 7:00 in the morning when we arrived at the Johnston City High School. Once everyone arrived at the high school, we got on the bus and headed off to Benton. As we stepped foot on the bus, we all sat there quietly, nervous about the results of this game. This was the game that determined whether or not we went on to state. Coach Simon and Coach Shane gave us one of their what we like to call "before the game warm-up talks". We were all nervous of course, but we were all determined to win this game. We had been looking forwards to winning regionals and going to state the whole season and that day was the day that we gave us the opportunity to go to state. After the thirty minute bus ride, we finally got to Benton and once we got there,
This crucial four years of Highschool is what shapes up a person. Things like friends, families, and new experiences are what teach life lessons and morality. I believe that through the service activities I have taken part of this few years, I learned new qualities about myself and new aspects in life. I have learned the role of a leader, all the charitable things service can offer, and I have built a character. What impacted me the most was the “Jessey J Mcray Elementary School” program, and the Service Day activity I did in freshman year. Volunteering is a great way to bring people together and it provides physical and mental rewards for whoever decides to do it.
I moved to Crawford my 7th grade year. I attended Crawford Middle School that year. That year went by exceptionally well, but the next year the school closed for 7th and 8th graders, so I had to join Hotchkiss Middle School. I found the Hotchkiss kids very welcoming, and friendly. I instantly became friends with almost all of them. There was just something so welcoming about that school from the friendly teachers who all cared very deeply about each individual student. The happy and friendly attitude wasn’t just at the school, it seemed everyone everywhere was just so happy to be in a beautiful place. Hotchkiss has always been a home for me from that day on because of the welcoming attitudes.
We were middle class, a very average family. The environment surrounding my family during that time was actually very civilized. Hardly no crime, amiable people and we got close with the neighbors and became very involved with their lives and they became involved in ours. I started attending Yeager Elementary. I really feel for that school because that is the place where I met most of the people I still talk to till this very day, it has a notable place in my heart, I can never forget my third through fifth grade years. I also started attending Tom Browne Middle School. Tom Browne was viewed as an average school, but, to some, it was a “low class”
I use to go to Bethesda Elementary before I moved here. The reason I moved was because I would go to Thomas. H. Pyle Middle School while the kids at BE would go to Westland Middle School. If I continued going to BE in sixth grade when I moved to Pyle I would not know anyone. The reason I moved to Bradley Hills, and not any other school that was going to Pyle was because Bradley Hills had a renovation that allowed more kids to come.

Little Falls Community Schools have taught me so much knowledge in my thirteen years. I thought I knew a lot of information when I entered the high school, but I guess I was wrong. These past four years I have learned so much material from my teachers. Four years ago, I thought economics only dealt with money and that calculus would be really hard. Turns out, economics is not just about money but also about externalities and market structures; however, calculus is still hard. I have absorbed many different kinds of knowledge in my four years at Little Falls Community High School.
and I missed my mother extremely. I moved in with my father the summer of 2014. At this time, I was going into 8th grade and had to obviously start a new school. For 8th grade, I attended Skyline Middle School. The teachers were great, the school was small and it was surprisingly an easy adjust for me.
I have always been in love with the game of softball. I love all the competition and the thought of working at it brings joy to my heart. I could always go to the field to get my mind off things and just focus. But in May of 2015 my life changed and I had a whole new mind set on everything.
Throughout the seventeen years that I’ve been alive I have witnessed all the sacrifices my parents have gone through ensuring I have a better future than they did. I come from immigrant parents that weren’t fortunate enough to continue studying. I myself was brought into the country when I was two years old so I could build a different path than the one my parents had to take due to financial reasons. Short after, my sister was born my mom got remarkably ill with Diabetes. I would watch in terror as my mother would lay in bed barely able to move. I held her hand, wiped her forehead, with a cool wet towel, and longed she would get all better. Being the oldest in the
This world is immense. The current population on this planet totals to seven billion people and yet, I found it hard to believe that there are so many “fishes in the sea.” Growing up as a local, small town boy made me even more oblivious to that fact. Oahu offers paradise, good vibes, and aloha, but it is limited by how small it is. I was craving something more than a rock in the middle of the Pacific ocean, I was in the need of adventure. It was in the summer of 2014 that my misconceptions shrank and my perspectives of the world broadened. A social exchange program offered at my school presented an incredible opportunity, one in which I would meet students from another region, learn their ways of life, and they would do the same thing in return.
I started school when i was four years old , In my home town of Farner TN. I went to Turtletown Elementray i was in head start my teachers where Miss.Dorthy Marrow & Janice Reed . I learned alot and always enjoyed being around them . I went to the same school for 4 years then my mother decided to move to Cleveland TN. So i then i went a school called Blyth Bower Elementray . So that meant a new school and start the whole process over again . My mother could never stay in one place for more than 2 years . So i failed 2 school years the 4th and the 7th grades. i didnt really
