Reflecting on these past few years I have experienced here at Sam Houston high school are very amazing, they ensure me that I will have an amazing successful future once I graduate from here soon. Attending this school has allowed me to grow as person mentally and academically. The teachers here always expect us to perform to best of our abilities in and outside of class. My Plans are to attend Our lady of the Lake University, I chose this college because I like that they have small classes so it allows me to interact more with the professors, that they are a private school, and most importantly because it very convenient for me I do not have to relocate to another city because I live nearby. I will major in social work and earn a BSW. My …show more content…
Fitz. He taught me many lessons about his math class but the most important lessons he ever taught me was to treat others with respect. It was just an ordinary school day when I walked into my algebra class and he began to express to my class that he wasn’t very happy with the way he was being treated and other issues soon he began to cry then he left class because he was so emotional. From that moment I’ve view him differently, in that moment I instantly started to reevaluate who I was a person, I began to realize that I was a student who constantly disrespected him for no reason, I use to give him attitude, curse at him, disrupt his class while he was teaching, and sometimes not follow his directions just because I simply didn’t want to. That day just changed me in positive way, it made me realize that I no longer wanted to be that person I was, that I wanted to better myself as an overall person. I began to treat him and others with respect, I was more serious about my education, I was a more optimistic person, but most importantly I began to value myself. That incident was one of the best things that has ever happen to me as a person, since then I have written him a letter expressing how he has impacted my life in a major way and that I am very thankful for everything he has ever done for
Growing up on the west side of Chicago, it was always about finessing to get where you wanted to go in life. You either play basketball, rap, or scam, and I don’t fit any of the mentioned criteria. I have only one way that will allow me to live the successful life I dream of, and that’s my education. I worked my hardest during elementary school just so I could be able to attend one of the top high schools in Chicago and only then was I accepted into Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, one of the top three high schools in the state.
I, currently as a student at Ruth Thompson Middle School, have contributed to the community around me in many ways. In my school, as of now, I have been part of the RTMS Tech Team, which includes in helping students with technology, helping teachers set up with assemblies, open houses, replacing PC monitors, and a lot more. As part of tech team, I have also helped with things that are relatively tedious, like sorting out a whole room of cables. Yes, I will do it again at JFSS if I’m assigned or have the opportunity to. Also, I have helped with jobs that may require a little more skill. In my school, I have tried, along with a team of other students, try to install Chrome OS on unsupported hardware, which if succeeds, will be installed on more

Since starting the school year in August, my main goal is to become a more educated and well-rounded individual. After almost completing two full semesters here at Sam Houston State University I feel like I have taken steps to fulfill my goal. I know if I keep giving hundred percent towards my education I can achieve any goal I set before myself.
While attending Judson High School in the beginning of my senior year, our advisory teacher Mrs. Evans
During my time at Sprague high school, I gained a lot of experience in the field of athletic training. Working in the high school setting gave me the opportunity to get more hands on practice, which is very important for an athletic training student. One thing I did notice is in the treatment center at Linfield, I found myself have to compete with all the other students to get cases, but in the high school setting it has been just one person working. Throughout my experience at Sprague I noticed great improvement within myself in regards to building confidence and knowing what kind of athletic trainer I want to be. I still have a lot to learn, but I feel my high school internship has set me in the right direction. I gained a lot of valuable contacts within the profession and got to learn from two of the best athletic trainers Kimo and Amy!
It was a hot and sunny day. It was an early morning at school, about seven thirty-five. There are four main students, McKenzie, Jordan, Tyla, and Joseph . These four students go to Winchester Community High School (WCHS). They have four out of seven classes together, plus lunch. First period, third period, lunch, fourth period, and seventh period.
Once a sunny day,in San Luis middle school a big and beige school with vintage carpet and white walls.I am in the principal's office because i had made a wrong action that affected me in some way but it also help me though. However i was there because i had too many absences in my first and fourth period.I had too many absences because i was a immature girl that didn’t heard what my parents and teachers use to say to me,and because the only thing that matter to me was having fun with my friends without measuring the consequences.
Everyone in my family has attended college and has done something with their lives and I plan on continuing the cycle. In the fall of 2017 I will be attending Sam Houston State University. My major will be kinesiology because sports has always been a part of my life and I couldn’t imagine myself going through life without doing something related to sports.
When I first stood at the bottom of the B-building stairs on August 19, 2013, almost every sixth grader was anxious. We were all waiting for the three-chime bell, and when it did ring, we all stampeded up the stairs like a herd of elephants. But I don’t think that it had ever come to me or any of my peers that change would hit every student, including myself at fifty miles per hour and as loudly as the sound of our feet running up the stairs.
My college plans are to attend Our Lady of the Lake University, I will go to earn a Bachelors of Social Work (BSW). My goal is to
Working on campus in an influential department, such as the undergraduate admissions office at Sam Houston State University, can present a multitude of opportunities to engage personably with prospective students from all walks of life. Like any other ordinary day in the admissions office, I respond to phone, walk-in and email inquiries related to SHSU’s admissions procedures and policies for prospective students. Unbeknown to me, however, this “ordinary day” would be an office visit that I would never forget. I recall meeting a remarkable freshman who had an aspiration to become an attorney and was interested in majoring in political science, but had some reservations. The student explained that at the age of sixteen he was diagnosed with
I recently transferred to Winston-Salem State from North Carolina A&T because all my family went here and loved it and I love this school as well. Since I have been on campus, I joined the Campus Activity Board. As I continue my journey at WSSU, I plan to join the psychology club and Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology as well. WSSU offers so many opportunities,
When recalling my high school days at Center Grove High School, I can’t really recall all the various kinds of drugs which were used around the school. I know that tobacco, alcohol, and marijuana were the drugs most would talk about. While the tobacco could be down played do to the fact that some were old enough to use it, I can still recall times were I have found what looks like “dip” spit in either the toilets, and even in a sink once or twice, with the occasional cigarette smell as well. With the other two, I can’t really say how often they occurred in or around the school due to me being in a special program which kind of kept those involved away from the rest of the school unless it was for electives. When comparing what I can remember,
Although I would not have considered myself a leader when I entered Arlington High School, I can safely say that the past four years have changed me into quite the opposite. As I gained confidence in my abilities to lead and make a difference throughout high school, I began to take more initiative of my impact on the community by running for leadership positions and tutoring.
