Personal Narrative: My Decision To Move To Victoria

When I was a kid, a girl lived next door to me. She was beautiful, graceful, and overall a kind person. Her name was Riley. I remember the times where I hung out with her. She was a cool girl who didn’t mind a boy hanging around with her. We often spent our time swinging on a rope in the park and playing tag. In time, I felt… attached to her. I wanted to tell her this. However, something happened.

Clarisse was forgotten, she wasn’t remembered. She was gone. Simply gone. Due to the rumor Mildred spread around town, many believed Clarisse had unfortunately died in a car accident. Others created their own fictional story of Clarisse’s mysterious disappearance. Those who ignored her had no idea that she was gone, or that she even existed in the first place. However, few knew the real story behind Clarisse and what really happened after her so called “car accident”.

Australian cities like Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Melbourne are great places to live in Australia. These cities have a European way of life.

My mom Andrea Svank moved from Hungary to Canada in 1998. My mom was born July 19th, 1970 she was born in Nyíregyháza, Hungary. She got the idea to move to Canada because her husband Joszef Svank (my dad) went to Canada to visit his aunt and uncle for 8 months before they met. When they met he always talked about how nice Canada is and that one day when there married he wants to move to Canada.

Finally. After 16 years of living with my family, I am making the big move to boarding school. I am moving to Melbourne, to pursue my AFL dream. The weeks leading up to this day, I knew my family were happy for me. I was chasing my dream and starting a new chapter of my life. I could also see that they were upset, because they would miss me a lot. As for me, I would miss them very much too. But there was no doubt in my mind about moving. I couldn’t wait. Walking out onto the runway, the sun peeking through the horizon and my body is telling me there’s no going back now. I board the plane and take my seat. I put my headphones on and close my eyes. Similarly, in William Shakespeare's Macbeth, the increasing ambition of the protagonist drives him to achieve his goals, despite descending into narcissism. Granted that, Lady Macbeth convinced Macbeth into killing Duncan which lead him to his killing streak. At the beginning of the book, Macbeth was a fair and good man.

I am Chinese and from Shanghai, the same as Sydney, Shanghai is a modern metropolis city, also the economic center of China. The Shanghai working atmosphere seems a big different from Sydney based on Shanghai’s special working culture and working concept, although they are similar in the basic rules. It was a regular Sunday morning, precisely at 8:00, I was walking my dog Sham. He may look cute but he will snap and bark at any stranger (but that is completely irrelevant). Anyway, all of a sudden the authorities came and evicted everyone out of their homes! I caught up with my parents and they acknowledged that we had to move to Canada because of the virus.

A couple weeks ago, my boyfriend and I were barbecuing with our downstairs neighbors, Henry and Estelle, and they announced to us that they were moving to Australia in September. Henry was offered a position he'd been waiting for in engineering and could not refuse the opportunity. As we were drinking some celebratory wine under a beautiful sunset, I shouted out that there was a spider on my boyfriend Collin’s armrest because I thought it was funny how uncomfortable my boyfriend is with spiders. Then we all heard a loud scream coming out of Estelle’s mouth and burst out laughing. When she started crying, her boyfriend started comforting her, and Collin and I both had a shocked look on our faces.

It’s been almost five years since my family has moved to Canada, and I have never felt left out before. I never thought I ever would, but ever since I started attending school in Canada I had the fear that no one would like me.

Everything seems like it’s falling out of place. “How did this happen?” I asked myself. Our car pulls into the driveway of our new house, and I feel like a stranger in this new town, nine hours away from the only place that felt like home. “We’re here!” my mom exclaims. My family can’t be happier to be here, but I feel like my world is falling apart. I had to say goodbye to Wisconsin, and hello to Michigan.

Tasmania surely has an enviable lifestyle with a wide choice of housing from city apartments to homes with real backyards. Everything is within a 40-minute drive so for my kids after school, work activities would become a natural part of the day with fantastic opportunities for a healthy

As this as inevitable in everyday life, struggles and hardship are elements that are demonstrated in literature as well. Ernest Hemingway shows how adversity can affect someone in many ways through the individual's actions. Hemingway utilizes characterization to prove how one can overcome adversity. In the novella, The Old Man and the Sea, Hemingway shows how a person can overcome hardship and adversity through tenacity and persistence.

Melbourne is the capital city of victoria it’s the second-most populous city in Australia. Melbourne has townships, and rural localities in the greater metropolitan area in the State of Victoria. Melbourne is the hub of Victoria's business, administrative, cultural and recreational activities. The City of Melbourne is a place of rich cultural diversity that is one of the main reasons why a lot of tourists visit Melbourne.
