I am incredibly disappointed in the decision to close the Tualatin Haggen which has been a part of the Tualatin community for many years. Our Haggen has been around for my entire life and I always feel at home when I go there; a feeling I believe I share with many of its other customers. I'm friends with many of the employees and am incredibly saddened to hear that almost all of them will have no place to work after the store closes. The people who work there are some of the kindest and hardest working people I have ever met and deserve to have a feeling of security knowing where their next paycheck is coming from. If the Tualatin Haggen does indeed close I hope there is some way to allow the 73 people who work at the store to find new jobs within your company. …show more content…
It's a place where people feel happy and are always surrounded by employees who care. It's a friendly environment that's hard to find at other stores these days. There are many families I have talked to who have no idea where they are going to shop after the store has closed. Additionally, it seems impractical to close the store before the lease is up. There will be an empty grocery store in the heart of our town causing our economy to suffer drastically. If the lease was up, a new company could buy the location and add a new store to our community, but, instead, the building will now sit there until the lease is up. Also, it is unfair to refuse to restock the store. It is unfair to the employees who might be out of a job weeks before you told them they would. Being out of a job sooner than expected can be detrimental to many of the employee’s lives, especially those with families to support. Lastly, it is unfair to the customers who wish to enjoy Haggen until the closing date on October

a lot of famous people shop there, so it is very easy to encourage people to shop here. Dillard's encourages people to shop here by posting ads. they post sales to lure people in. when you go to the website the first thing that you see is a sale. People are influenced by their environment. So, if their ads are full of nice looking people dressed in their nice clothes and jewelry then you too are going to want to look pretty. Dillard's also encourages consuming behavior by supporting charities. They go in competition with other stores. so the make them stand out they tell you if you purchase certain items
The spirit of god led me across the street from where I lived and led me to Trumbull.

Historically, the department store affected every facet of social and economic life in America. The rise of the department store from the mid-1850s to the end of the 19th century was a major revolution for business and society. It revolutionized the shopping experience and created an entirely new view of ordinary retail stores. Endless categories of items from jewelry and accessories to home goods and furniture were available to all customers under one roof. Department stores found success in the early years, because they were selling more than just “products.” They were selling an entire experience to the American consumer. Known for their low prices, convenience, experience, and variety, department stores emerged as the iconic establishments of their time. These stores became mainstream institutions in downtown areas. Some department stores, such as Filene’s, even had restaurants and tearooms located inside the building. They had services like photo studios and special events like fashion shows and parades. Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is still a widely popular event today, originating in
Last semester break provided me an opportunity to work in a store of J.Crew as a part time counter sales assistant. J.Crew is a leading women fashion store, headquartered in USA but has branches in Canada, USA, and in Europe. Due to the economic crisis, the store was facing profit declines in last two years period. The store manger was a middle aged qualified but a rigid person as far as work distribution and performance monitoring was concerned. Due to the pressure from top management to increase profits, manager put extra pressure on every employee. The shift timings were increased, bonuses were stopped, and un-necessary work load was forced on every employee.
I'm about to leave and Ashtin is coming to. I'm only bringing a few things. A sword beacause it not like a gun which runs out of ammow, then I can chop things and spear fish. I'm gonna bring a sleeping bag to to so I can stay warm and dont get sick and die. Then finally the last thing I would bring is a life supply of matches, to cook the food we get and to stay warm.
They want it to be a one stop for all store, that they can reach everyone’s needs.
Black girls face historical, institutional and historical factors which increases their risk to underachieve and detach from school. The attitude and institutional practices which limit their opportunities have deep historical roots. Most researches and public debates have failed to unveil the degree of trauma and challenges that are faced by the black girls. Most available information about the challenges are often underreported leading to incorrect inference that their future are not also at risk. For instance, the suspension and expulsion rates of black girls have outpaced that of the other girls. Yet, the efforts to understand and act to these disparate disciplinary patterns are few or futile.
Overall, I saw that store employees do exhibit the correct interpersonal behaviors that lead to positive interactions with customers. Each employee had a true interaction with the customers. The employees I observed always had a smile on their face and never complained or slowed down their work. They truly wanted to help the customer get in and out as fast as possible with no problems. For example, David, the golf department supervisor, was working with the female who needed new grips. The look on his face was excitement. He loved teaching her about all the grips and wanted to her leave with the right purchase. Brett, the employee in the shoe department, was very friendly to the customers that needed help. For example, when the kid who came

There are many reasons for choosing to go into a store to purchase items needed. For instance, having someone assist you in finding what you need, or
