Personal Narrative: Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant

Mary Kay Inc. is a company I have heard of and know some about but I am a guy who does not where makeup like a Frenchman. I knew Mary Kay was popular in the United States among the women population. I know some people who threw some Mary Kay parties. Other than that I did not know much about the company before watching this video. I was actually shocked when I found out Mary Kay is mostly sold by individuals who host parties. It is a company who values relationships between the seller and buyer.

Question 1: Is Mary Kay an "international firm", a "multinational firm", or a "transnational firm" as defined in this course and based on its marketing strategy? Why?

I interviewed the practice manager Wendy Jones at the Banner Health Clinic March 2017. She just recently advanced to be a practice manager for the family practice clinic that I work in. I am Walt Teske, CFP®, a Personal Financial Counselor, serving military members and their immediate families. My primary base is the 128th Air Refueling Wing for the Wisconsin ANG, but I am eligible to serve Army Reserve and Guard as well as Marine Reserves in the Milwaukee area as well. Working in retail for the last two years, I had many run-ins of becoming angry and frustrated. I have experienced many frustrating moments working behind customer service.

Within the beauty industry client care and communication are very important. As therapist we are there to help and without good communication skills, we will not be able to gage what treatment the client requires and what would best suit their needs, also if they have any contraindications that would restrict or prevent the required treatment.

On last Saturday I interviewed with Cosmetologist (Salon) Assistance. Her name was Mrs. Sunita Bhatt. I just met her once before and the last Saturday I met her again for the interview. My appointment with her for an interview was at 11:30 A.M., so I went there are at 11:20 and as I entered the room, I was so shocked by seeing the customer. It was full; there were a lot of people in the saloon. “Sunita can you pass me the dye color?” A voice came from my back, but I couldn't see find her where was she so I went to the receptionist and asked for Mrs. Sunita. She paged her and called her to the front desk. “Oh hey Yesha, how are you?” She asked. I am good how you are?” I am great as well, was just waiting for you. Come on in we will go to inside for an interview.” As I was following her, I noticed everyone was wearing black apron and Invisible gloves. As we were walking to the classroom Mr. Sunita took her apron and gloves off.
