He did not care that he had been on the late shift, and that she had her alarm set for six in the morning. Ric settled for drinking coffee and reading the morning papers in bed with Serena. They were not officially cohabiting, but they were as good as doing so; they had often shared mornings like this, far from their usual rush around when alone, being together seemed to make mornings far more organised. They could easily dance around each other, whether it was breakfast or coffee in bed followed by an act of lovemaking; or they were in the kitchen at the table, catching up on emails whilst fighting over the last piece of toast. It never felt farfetched; it actually was the times where they started to feel most content with each other. This morning lay no different, as Ric found himself engrossed in a copy of yesterday’s paper, Serena was applying her make-up and grumbling to herself; she much rather find herself finishing her latte in bed by Ric’s side, rather than having to sip away at the now lukewarm substance between trying to make herself presentable for work. …show more content…
Ric never complained and it was not as if he never wondered about her home in just his boxers; although Serena saw that as a bonus, her lover was in great shape, and that little secret she was glad she only knew of
The sun began to creep up behind the towering pine trees as I sip on my torrid coffee. I glance at my watch which reads 5:45 am, I gather my tackle box that's overflows with hooks and line and stick in underneath the damp boat seat. The water glistens in the morning sunlight, I aboard the scent of pine needles which is always prominent the crisp air of Northern Wisconsin.
First of all I was in my dark room with the only light being my t.v, I playing Xbox with my friend Skylar, we were playing Rainbow Six Siege a counter terrorism shooter. It was a late on a dark, stormy night, it was bomb objective and only I was left on the team to face five other enemies defusing the bomb and I slowly and stealthy with his silenced pistol picked off about two enemies outside the objective roaming and then pulled out his primary the 416-C Assault Rifle and went in blazing in the objective and his heart was racing he picked off another two enemies and that’s when he began guarding the defuser waiting to find the last enemy. “Can you search cams Skylar?” I asked Skylar.
It was late one day in June, and the sky was as blue and clear as sparkling wine. I sat back in my hammock reading the book Unbroken enjoying myself, and my uncle came up and asked me if I wanted to play poker with him, 5$ buy in. I jumped at the idea finished my page and went inside the house. Poker is a pretty big thing in my family and I’ve grown up playing and my uncle was one of the best, so spending time with him playing poker is always one of my favorite things to do. We proceed to set up the table, “Texas Holdem“ he says, Jacks to open”. Nothing weird, so we get the game going and the pots getting pretty big when all of the sudden he drops his cards. I stare the cards dead in the eye and see that i'm going to surpass him! He looks
There are millions of people in the military and I have always been fascinated by the concept of it. The interesting part was never the war, they were intriguing, but there is too much death involved. I am fascinated by the concept of being a part of something bigger than you in addition to being one big family fighting for the same thing. I believe it all started with the two thousand one movie Pearl Harbor, no matter what they were facing in their personal life they all worked together. I never really knew anyone involved in the military, but that all changed when my oldest brother joined The United States Air Force.
Ella Wood. That’s who I am just Ella Wood a 16 year old girl who never really had much going on and who not many people knew. At least that’s what I had thought a few hours ago when my name wasn’t on the news and pretty much every other place that you could think of. You may be confused as to what I’m talking to you about, so let me tell you a story. Let me warn you though this is not just any story, but my story. First of all let me introduce myself a bit better. I live in a town that’s kind of big and called Blackview. I love to make music it’s one of my special talents and I could also dance. I have an older brother named Tyler. I also have a twin brother named Ethan we’re practically inseparable. We’ve done a lot of things together and
On a Saturday morning, around 10am, my family was getting ready for my niece’s (Maritza) 4-year-old birthday party. After 12:30pm we were already at my sister’s (Adele) house, ready to give my niece a hug and her annual present. At the moment Maritza wasn’t home, so I stalled for a bit. Chatted with their neighbor, few high school friends, and their wife’s. Finally, she showed up along with her father. The first person she hugs is me, I’m her favorite uncle, according to her, as she hugs my legs and looked up and says, “hey uncle J.” I replied “hey?” with a bit of a curiosity on my mind. Her lip had a big red lump. I managed to not ask her what had happened on her lip. I’m thinking it’s a “I fell down” type accident. The party went off, and
The night was another quiet one , the morning even more quiet . No more family sit downs at the table , just coffee brewed from whoever wakes up first and help yourself to breakfast. I sat outside the porch with my coffee , first day of October with the fall feeling in the air , I was looking at nothing , I pulled out my cell phone and decided it was time to tell Trever my input on who is doing this. I heard his phone ringing , but it went straight to voice mail , I left a long message explaining everything , hoping this will get him to look into her.
Ignoring me, he continued, "She broke up up with me because I bought her a simple neclace for her birthday not the diamond bracelet she wanted."
" Ah... did that child just...?" Cole turns his head side to side, trying to see where did that infant disappear to. He then looks under the table, wondering if the poor thing slipped out of his father's arms. "Where did that little one toddle off too?" Cole slowly lifts his head back from under the table when Lenny gleefully chasing after his baby boy. Ah, the life of a parent. Well, super natural parent that is. A bittersweet chuckle escapes from his mouth as his attention turns back to the aggron lad in front of him.
As he shoved his luggage into his overhead bin, he took a seat with exhaustion. Remembering all the memories they've had at their grandparents house, when they were little. Now today would be the day to relive all those fun and exciting memories, thought Jamerson. Jamerson knew he could be able to show his Grandma Judy and Grandpa Jona, all the things he's learned from his practices in football, soccer, and basketball. Kaitlyn had finally gotten a flight attendant to come over by her. Kaitlyn began to speak, “Mrs, by any chance do you have wifi on here I could connect to?” The flight attendant Carrie had said, “I'm sorry ma'am we don't, is there anything else I can get you?” Kaitlyn didn't say anything, she sat there in disappointment. Ugh,
Well here I am just laying here, waiting upon my near death to come I guess this is what I get for going after a criminal without any form of backup, where did I go wrong on this mission (flashback come back to figure out)
Despite saying that they would talk things over the following morning, they failed to follow through. Serena put up her defences; she decided there was nothing to talk about until they had the facts. This had left them with nothing but a four-day wait to see Obs & Gynae Consultant Michael Reid. Yet, it started to become more apparent that Serena found herself with child. Heartburn had become an issue, and Serena developed a taste for Donner Kebab - something she only ever recalled eating as a University Student, after a night out. She found the concept of eating such vile processed food antagonising, the craving kicked in from nowhere. Tiredness kicked in, hitting her like a wave, she woke up that morning feeling utterly exhausted.
Kyle was professional enough not to inquire as to his moods and that was the way Bobby liked it. They arrived at his sprawling estate and Bobby slid out of the car without comment or a backward glance. Using his key card and pressing in the access code of his security system, Bobby entered the house. He dropped his briefcase and messenger bag on the red silk upholstered ottoman by the door and slipped his oxfords off , not by pushing the backs down until he could slip his feet out. He padded quietly across the Italian marble floor to his study. The jacket and tie that had been so stifling were removed and tossed onto the arm of the couch. He poured himself another drink from the wet bar in the corner. Emma had heard the car in the drive and greeted him with a warm
In the novel Animal Farm by George Orwell, Orwell creates a world in which animals formulate a plan to take over the farm against the humans. After successfully dominating the farm in which they live in. They then, branch off into divisions which are created by the masterminds behind it all, the pigs. There are three pigs that run the show and they have created a basic system that would divide the animals roles.(9) As silly as this would sound, the only animals really benefiting from this division are the pigs. They are allowed to make the rules because they are more intelligent than the rest of the farm animals.(9) Which gives them the authority to eat as much as they want and eat certain foods the other can’t not eat such as apples and milk.
Choosing a college is stressful and the pressure to make the right decision can become overwhelming. When determining which college to attend, college expenses become a primary focus for families, many times outweighing the preferred educational institution. My first choice for out of state colleges is San Diego State University and my preferred choice for an in-state college is the University of Arizona. While researching and comparing which college is the favored institution for me to attend, there are many financial considerations that are imperative to making an educated decision including: base tuition, the application fee required for admission, the cost of books, the distance from home and travel costs, the climate, the cost of food, housing and other necessities.
