I'm Raelynn I have always loved dogs, it started at a very young age. I was born on a farm and was always surrounded by animals. Every day I would get up early to watch Clifford, or any show with a dog. I would refuse to watch anything of it didn't have a dog in it. All I wanted was a dog, my parents decided to get a dog for the family. I just wanted to be with the puppy, we named him Freckles. We became best friends and learned so many things from each other. We grew up together, this bond that we shared made me fall in love with dogs even more. My grandpa breed German Shepherds, making me want to raise puppies too. My parents finally gave in and got me a female so we could have puppies. We had two sets of puppies and I loved
I am Kaitlyn Zimmerman; and I am a traditional college student who is just now entering my sophomore year at Bethel College, where I am majoring in History and Humanities and minoring in Education. I have lived in Coloma, Michigan for the past four years after my family moved for my father’s job as a Christian school principle. Prior to this, we lived in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and in India as missionaries. In addition to a love of traveling, I feel that our regular moves have caused me to form a strong bond with my family and to learn to depend on the Lord.
I got my very first animal in September of 2009. It was a dog and we named him Buddy. I walking into shelter trying to find the right dog to bring home. I was so excited to get my first dog! Thinking which one is going to be the one. When we walked in all we could here was barking. Walking by cages of cute puppies, then we found just the right one, Buddy!
After sitting at the same desk for three years, I figured I was beyond seeing anything new I was wrong. Walking into the classroom was Carrie Underwood. My idol since like third grade. She walked in came right to my desk and handed me a poster of her. It was signed by her too! Then she told me to follow her. We got on her tour bus, my whole family was on there too. There was a concert in Orlando that I wanted to go to because she was going to sing at. So we got on a plane but nobody told me where we were going. We landed and went to our hotel and Carrie went to hers. We were just getting ready for bed and my mom said she had something fun planned for tomorrow. So I didn't really get much sleep that night but I got a couple hours if I did get
I have loved music since I was born, it has always been there for me. Although I love all genre of music my favorite has to be country music. You can interpret so much from one verse of music. From kindergarten to fourth grade I was in the school talent show singing. I loved getting on that stage and showing people what I could do.
My Singstunde choices depict some aspects of my ongoing journey of finding meaning and finding my place in this life. Recently, I have been faced with uncertainty concerning who I am and what I want to contribute to this world. This is my last semester of my Senior year at Regis and I feel so thankful for the specific purposeful educational opportunity that I have been granted. Now, it is my turn to figure out how to live a meaningful life and how to best use this amazing Jesuit education. I hope that the Jesuit ideals, that have grown so close to my heart, can help inform a path to helping others in the most effective way that I personally can accomplish given my personality, strengths and weaknesses. While I know this searching for the right
Imagine walking in the door after a long day; your furry loving puppy is sprinting towards you so excited to see you after missing you all day. Your puppy is ready to grab your attention and distract you from the terrible day you’ve had, comforting you in the process. Dogs are great pets because of their comforting nature, playfulness and protective tendencies.
I almost always listen to country music. My favorite artists/bands are Brad Paisley and Dan and Shay. I enjoy listening to their music because I can relate to their songs. Two of my favorite Brad Paisley songs would be “Perfect Storm”, or “She’s Everything”. Dan and Shay sing two songs that I really enjoy listening to “Stop, Drop, and Roll” and “What You Do to Me”. Brad Paisley’s “Perfect Storm” talks about finding that perfect girl, and his song “She’s Everything” is about that girl that means everything to you. “Stop, Drop, and Roll” by Dan and Shay is about driving around in a 65 mustang, going fast, having fun, and laying rubber. Dan and Shay’s song “What You Do to Me” talks of having found that perfect girl. I can relate to every one of
I always look at other people with their dogs and get excited. It makes me think of when I got my dog. I got him about 6 years ago when I was in 2nd grade. I had always wanted a dog, but my mom didn’t think i was old enough to take care of one. So when I got him I was very happy.
My musical tastes is always constantly changing. When I was about twelve, my favorite genre was country. I would only listen to it unless I was with somebody else who controlled the radio. I knew the songs and the artist in the back of my hand at the time. When I entered in high school, my musical taste change, and I started to listen to pop music. I still like country, but I listen to more pop music also. My musical tastes continue with pop and country until my junior year of high school when I went back to only listening to country music. Country music has now started to change where it is not the same type of music I enjoyed listening to. Middle of my senior year, I started listening to K-Love (contemporary Christian), and I enjoyed it
I remember that my mom told me when she was dating my dad. When it was valentines day my mom has always wanted a boxer so my dad went to vet and get something for my mom….
Then we got Rex.. well he was a retired cop dog and I could literally ride him around. He lasted about 5 months then someone stole him. Then we got George Regan, well this dog was so stupid he'd pee on you every time you pet him. He ended up biting someone on dogwood.. I have no clue how he got that far or why.. but the peoples daughter he bit kept him.. or perhaps they killed him and didnt tell me? Well then we got Jack, he was a jack russel looked just like wishbone. I went to work with mom for some reason, and one of her coworkers had him on a leash out front, well I asked if I could pet him and she said of course he's yours! That was a surprise and sweet gift from the Barbara. We had him probably 7 years, he ate her peper spray once and went blind he sill could jump up to your neck. So we took him everywhere he was my best buddy. He was the only one she'd let me keep in the house ( 50% of the time). Then her and amanda backed over him on christmas eve one year (I might have already told you this) I was out at lavanias with the village and here comes amanda in crying, she throws off her wig
When I was twenty-two years old, I answered an advertisement in the paper for free Labrador puppies. Driving up to the house, I saw all the little critters running around and having a ball of a time. I got into the pen with the pups, and finally decided on the shy runt who spent the majority of his time hiding under a board. I loved his personality and instantly
In the first telling of my personal narrative, I did not consider including what had led me to a point where I began to embrace my identities and become proud of my heritage as Korean. There were many factors that led me to be who I am today. The reason for leaving out the information was because there were so many people and occurrences that led me to the point where I am now. For example, moving to different elementary school where there were more diverse body of students, annually performing at the Mosaic in the Korean pavilion, my parents being a positive role model, and becoming a volunteer teacher at the Korean Language School are some of the reasons which have led me to be who I am today. As I was surrounded by people who were interested
