Goose Creek It was a boiling, steaming day. I was going to a friend's house at Goose Creek. When we were driving into Goose Creek, I saw a lot of interesting side by sides and four wheelers. Zack and I went swimming, and I almost Broke my foot. I jumped into a shallow part of the muddy water, and I could barely walk when I got out. When we concluded swimming, we went up to the lot and set up the pop up camper. I was bouncing up and down on the trampoline like a kangaroo before I had to go gather firewood. Zack’s mom had put Coleman Tiki fluid on the firewood and leaves. We went over to grab the lighter; Zack’s mom said, “Be careful!” Next, I sat down in this oddly shaped chair that sat really far back like a reclined person.
It was a small town in Cornersville, Ohio. Nothing much ever happened in this small town until one day. A new family moved in one afternoon. Everyone was surprised because no one even noticed the house being built. Everyone was still delighted that they moved in because the couple, Bob and Nancy, were very friendly. Bob and Nancy helped with all the activities in town and were very generous. A couple of weeks after they moved in, a lot of strange things began. Money started disappearing, the lights in the town went out every night except for Bob and Nancy's lights, even people's pets went missing. One night, everyone's lights went out at 11:30 as usual, except there was an extremely loud noise. The neighbors went outside to see where all the
Some Michigan Heroes can be people that helped you in life or helped you succeed in life. My Michigan Hero is someone that raised me, taught me everything I know in life today. This person is my idol, that gave me a hand when I needed one, or told me to keep my head up and never look down. I wouldn’t know what to do in life if this person wasn’t in it.
Red Lake Ontario a place that I’ve been But only in my dreams in the last year and ten It’s always been with the boys, mainly my son I invite you into my dreams because you’re my special one. The cabin on the hill faces north over the lake But as the sun set down theres not even a wake
While we sat in our rambling tan and yellow cabin among the trees at 416 Spencer Falls Lane at Big Bear Lake, we watched the gloomy rain fall all morning long. Finally, the storm passed and the dark gray clouds passed over, the sun shone brightly on the wet grass. Yes, the day soon was as pleasant as any other august day, of course we knew it was frequently the case with a warm summer rain. This time, however, the rain had swelled the river washed away our small wooded bridge. Elaine my youngest sister sat beside the washed out bridge, she was so unhappy because it was loss. It was then that a shiny blue convertible drove up beside her, the four of us, our names are: William, Martina, Ella and David, watched as the car approached, it was around
Oh, it has been a month. So much has happened. A couple hundred miles into our trip, we looked ahead and say a long line of people. It was the kansas river. When we got up close we could see what the people were doing. One by one the wagons would cross the river. We were thinking about just walking across, the water was only like 2.5 feet deep. We decided it wasn't worth the risk and waited in line. When it was our turn we gave them $1 and started moving across. The river was only about 200 yards across. When we got across we looked back and saw that some people tried crossing without using the fairy. They were stuck. While we waited for the rest of our train we watched them trying to get unstuck. They managed to get out but there wagon and
Looking back out of the small window, I catch a final glimpse of corn fields and lonely railroad crossings before they dip below the horizon. For my first time on a plane, the excitement of adventure meets me as I depart from the comfort of home and enter a world unknown outside of Nebraska. Seeing the world in God’s view as the landscape evolves below, I fall in love with flying. Looking down from 30,000 feet and seeing earth on such a vast scale, I realize how much there is to discover.
I'm from Round Rock, or for those of you who don't know where that is, we'll just go with Austin. Round Rock is great and you can find activities to find on some occasion, but when I am in Austin I am never bored. I used to go downtown a lot when I was younger with my Mother, Father, and older sister, but as my parents became busy and my sister and I became more involved in school we make the 20-minute travel to Austin less and less. I grew up with my two sisters and mother in the safety and growing town of Round Rock, but when I was able to drive my friends and I would make the drive downtown to enjoy the ambiance of Austin. I was given more freedom than my older sister was given in high school, but I couldn't complain my mother trusted me
This past weekend, 108 entrants set off on a hundred mile race—the fourth annual Pine Creek Challenge. The footrace follows the Pine Creek Trail, a flat, scenic route that still provides ample challenge for the runners. Race director, Steve Hanes, comments, “For me as a race director, it’s great to see people stretching their boundaries...it's great to see people work towards something they might not have even imagined a few years ago, and come out here and accomplish something that's really noteworthy.”

“Okay Reed, time to go!” My dad shouts from the garage. We had everything prepared and packed to go except for the shotgun. My dad and I have been looking at an area of public hunting land that might be good for hunting all kinds of game. We came to that conclusion after seeing a big pond and deep forests on the map. Today was going to be a day full of short lived excitement and disappointment, and I had no clue.
I followed Cliff and his siblings to the safe zone. We arrived around nightfall. They checked our eyes to make sure we didn't have symptoms of Mentis Rabidus, then they gave us canned soup and bedrolls. After we ate, they told us the plan. We will follow a river and using the mountains as protection. The end point is about 1,500 miles away. It is near the Peace River in Canada. They told us it will be a lot of walking and everyone will need to help with chores. I'm not too happy about that. I would rather just look out for myself. But Canada is a lot safer than L.A., and to get there I need to help out.
My friends and I were riding bikes in the road. The road was scorching, it hurt to step foot on it without shoes. Knowing me as a child, I was the one without shoes. I was too scared I was going to burn my feet, so I would have get off my bike in the grass. The sky was partially cloudy at noon that day. The clouds were more gray than white that day.
My mom sat me down and was super excited “ We are going on a family vacation!” yelled my Mom. She said, “we are going sometime at the end of the summer.” I couldn't believe it I was super excited. We are going to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. It would be the second biggest vacation I’ve ever been.
When you ask a kid where they are from, they can usually give you a fairly simple response of the town and state they grew up in, but when I was asked this question, I had two answers instead of one. I had one home in Grand Island, Nebraska and another in Silver Creek, Nebraska. While Grand Island is the third largest city in our state, Silver Creek is among the smallest with a population of only about 400. I like to think that being a part of both of these very different communities has had a definite influence on the person I am today by offering me exposure to unique perspectives and experiences that I wouldn’t have had otherwise.
In conclusion, My Favorite place is the Great Lakes. The Great Lakes are one of the most famous places in America. There were a lot´s of fish, birds, and turtles in the Great Lakes. There were so many activities you can do at The Great Lakes. Like kayaking, surfing, and much more. Hopefully, you and your family can go to The Great Lakes and have some fun with my Dad, Samual, and I did.
