When Trisha saw the boys on the stage, she exclaimed; "Finally, a group of students who can act". Bernice; my sister's best friend, is giving us a ride to school. Because I had a dentist appointment at 1:30 pm. I had to leave school early. The invitation said to go to 117 Donner Creek road in Fresno, but Sinclair couldn’t find that address. Uncle Carl said; "We would like you to come to the reunion", but my mom told him that we would not be able to make it. Wow that is a great idea. I’d love to join you but, I have a softball tournament that
It was April of 1999. My family was at home. Children were running outside. The asphalt was burning. Cars rolled up to the entrance of the apartments and BANG. I grew up in Stockton, California. Surprisingly, as a minority, I wasn’t really a minority. There were, in fact, a large and diverse population of Asian-Americans. But, Stockton is not the ideal place to live. It was hot and dry, almost to the point of a drought. Stockton was also ranked as the one of the top 5 most dangerous cities in California. So, having a nice and safe family is kind of difficult. Eventually, my family decided to move to Crescent City, California when my dad retired. It was a world of difference. There were trees, plentiful water, and a nice cool temperature. This
Abby and Grace decided to go to their high school's football game on the last Friday in October. As seniors, Abby and Grace would be able to sit in the front of the stands and would be expected to wear school colors and cheer loudly. Her least favorite pastime, Grace hated football games and was only going to please Abby, her best friend. Abby was close friends with the quarterback of the football team, who was also Abby's neighbor. For this reason, attending the football game was important to Abby. Becoming more upset as the night approached, Grace was more upset about going at her friend Abby. When the night finally arrived, Grace reluctantly attended. Miraculously, Grace had a lot more fun than she expected to
Not knowing how her mother would feel Mia crept downstairs and out the doors. When she got outside she was greeted by her brother, sister, dad, and her boyfriend. At the bowling alley, Mia and Erik were in teams against Tara and Johnny and then Jeremih switched with Tara. They played multiple rounds until it was time to go eat. Mia's team had won against Tara's team in bowling. After the game, they went to this nice five-star establishment. For an hour they eat, talked, and laughed at some good memories and new memories.
For the day date, they started at Chick-fil-A. Sam was worried because this was her first time eating Chick-fil-A. She soon learned that it was good and that waffle fries were the bomb. The next part involved some tricky carpooling when she learned that her sister’s date didn’t drive very well. She feared for her life. He also had to gas money from his grandpa. After arriving to Rexburg almost a half an hour later than the rest of her group, she was going to play laser tag! She loved laser tag and often likes to brag that she could dominate. However she would soon learn that playing against her 9 and 10 year old brothers was nothing like playing with adrenaline charged teenage boys. She was second to last and only because someone else’s gun broke down half way through the game. They played two games that day, she lost both.
On February 21st, 2017 at approximately 1550 hours, my partner Officer Presley #2100 and I responded to 598 Dolores St., in a marked patrol vehicle in full uniform, regarding a possible dog attack and fight in progress.
“Did someone say ice cream!?” Rushes Kyle as he peeks his head just from outside my hospital room door! He bought his girlfriend with him and introduces her to everyone. Today was a grand day for reunions, and I couldn’t be happier. There was lots of laughs, plenty of banter. Then of course my mom just had to ruin it.
San Luis, Colorado is the oldest town in Colorado. The Rio Culebra winds through the valley, surrounded by majestic mountains. It is one of the most beautiful scenes I have ever seen. My family along with many others have been here for generations. The beauty of the land is only accentuated by the beauty of our tight-knit families and culture. To counteract of all the physical and cultural beauty, there is social and economic strife everywhere around me. I live in the poorest county in Colorado and being impoverished is a challenge my community faces because of a lack of education and job deficit. As I have delved into community and family history, I have better understanding that the fact the that while many things like our support and love for family and culture have remain unchanged and untainted, so has the fact that our community struggles
Amber later comes around when they notice something wrong with her dog BBB. They take him tot the doctor and they find that he has cancer, amber feels the need to pay for his surgery since Dona has done so much for her. Amber finally goes back to school and she seeks help with ideas to earn money for his surgery when they come up with the grand plan of having a variety show for BBB in the school’s auditorium. Everyone joins in to help her they plans the show that amber will host. When they get to the show many people are there from the community from her closet 5 friends, the elders from the retirement home, Private Jackson, and many other people Amber had never seen before then. As amber walks past all the people in line to get into her show they all cheer for her , which makes amber feel awkward at first but the awkwardness turns into a mighty amount of confidence which amber uses to the source of hope and let her inner rock star shine through. By Amber realizing her true and inner rock star self she returned to her old hopeful, helpful, cheerful
On 1/16/17 at 0225 hours my partner, Officer Thebeau #8402, and I were working patrol assigned to unit 3A11. We responded to a radio call of “shots fired” in the area of 814 N. Garfield Ave. The comments of the call stated, a 19 year old female was shot in the hand.
My mind will often wander to all the places I've lived in and all those I would love to travel to, or visit again. I think of the streets of Santa Fe, how fresh it would be compared to the over 100 degree temperature of were I am now, the hot dry heat of El Paso, Texas, a place I often come back to, the soil were my roots are permanently ingrained. El Paso has grown significantly in the past 10 years alone and is now the sixth most populous city in Texas (World Population Reviw). It's far from it's days when it was widely known as “El Chuco,” or “ChucoTown,” nicknames whose origins and meaning have long been debated, but no matter how much of the new generation is unfamiliar with these terms the history lives on through the streets and current
I don’t remember much, I just remember not wanting to leave. The place I would be spending the rest of my life I had only visited a few times. I, only being two at the time, was absolutely terrified of moving. Moving. It seemed like the worst possible thing that could’ve happened then. At first, when we left, it felt the same as the last time I had gone there. Then the realization that I would be gone forever kicked in, and the fact that this time, my dad wasn’t coming with us. Just my mom and I.
On 12/06/16, at 5:18pm, I Deputy Warden N. Christian was dispatched 1496 Blaine Drive on a dog at large, patrol only. I arrived in the area and saw a brown and white pit bull running loose. I took pictures of the dog loose. I proceeded to follow the pit bull down Blaine Drive, the dog stop at 1494 Blain Drive. I exited my vehicle and slowly approached the house. I knocked on the dog and received no answer. Due to large amount to construction material and debris around the property I was unable to secure the dog on property. I placed a leash on the dog and put the dog in my vehicle. I left a door notice at that location to contact the shelter if the dog belongs to the occupant of that house. I transported the dog to Franklin County Animal
Many people believe that Orange County, California is the best place to live for its great location, community and economic strong hold. But what those people forget to take into account is the people that make up this community. Living in Mission Viejo, an overwhelming amount of people think that this a place of Eden, that has the greatest neighborhoods to raise children. Well they are wrong. Our self-inflicting wounds are done by teenagers who choose to poison themselves. I was once one of them.
Impersonating a cow, Sylvester kept chewing his piece of bread, but Lewis froze and turned to the announcer. One of Rafael's cousins, a girl on the volleyball team, stood at the head of the table and with her hands on her hips, excited about this new rich guy. "Supposedly, the new guy is rich, and they don't want publicity and shit." Lewis stared at Ethan, Wilburn's rich pampered kid, wondering how he was going to take it, and by the time Sofia had finished the sentence, so were most of the athletes.
The community decided to put on a play simulating soda’s life in front of her father they then proceeded to shame him for being so sexist in front of the whole crowd until he let go and let soda go to school instead of keeping her home.
