On February 27th, a plane heading to San Jose with five people on it suddenly crashed in southern California. The two houses it landed on immediately erupted into flames because of the jet fuel. Luckily, no one was in those houses, however three out of the five were killed on the plane, while the survivors just had injuries. The people on the plane had consisted of a husband, wife and three teenagers going home from a cheerleading competition at Disneyland Adventure Park. The competition is suspected to be the Jr. USA Nationals, but unfortunately will not be a celebration to them anymore. The names of the people have not been released at this moment. Many bystanders of the crash have taken to social media to share the horror of what has happened. Undoubtedly, the passengers will never be the same again. …show more content…
No one wants to have people killed or hurt at all. Personally, I feel very saddened to read about this and I am very sympathetic to the families of those who were involved. This event could affect me because I could have known someone who was on that plane or who owned the houses that burned down. I could not imagine losing someone close to me with such little warning. Also, it would be hard to help someone rebuild their home. There is no bias in this article, as it was solely just informative information and not trying to persuade anyone. For example, it says, “The plane was broken into hundreds of pieces, its propeller sitting on the roof of a nearby home, and the fire burning with jet fuel was still ablaze several hours after the crash,” (Moore, Fox News). As can be seen, this is just facts with no bias or opinion in this
I, Deputy Gough received a call reference a white Ford truck driving in the Gamester trailer court all over the roadway. Upon my arrival I spoke with David Vore and Jennifer Vore. Jennifer Stated that Randy was the driver of the white Ford truck that said, “All Good Construction.” David and Jennifer both stated that they saw the truck drive through the yard hitting a slow child at play sign and the stop sign.
It was a very emotional day for a lot of people. It’s sad that it happened because a lot of loved ones was lost. Tourist attacks is something I would never want to see or be around.
On a beautiful, sunny Tuesday in New York City everyone was having a normal day. But all of that changed at 8:45am when the Islamic extremist group, al-Qaeda, hijacked four planes in order to launch a suicide attack on the Pentagon and the World Trade Center, most commonly known as the Twin Towers. At 8:45, the first plane crashed into the north tower near the 80th floor of a 110-story skyscraper. Everyone just thought it was an accident until 18 minutes later, the second Boeing 767-United
Hundreds of fire fighters from all over the city were in the twin towers trying to guide all personels to safety. Firefighters had to carry 65 pounds of equipment on their backs and somehow needed to get to the 70 floor. This meant that it would take them over an hour to get to the floor because the elevators were down and one minute was needed per flight of stairs. What's bad is that they were only capable of getting to the 34th floor before evacuation was the next prime goal and every situation only got worse for everyone: the South tower collapsed completely. That seemed to be the only update for the people in towers because of the shocking BOOM sound. They weren’t aware of what hit them, and they weren’t even aware of the South tower attack. People inside were so oblivious to where people on the other side of the world new more of what had
Throughout the conversation, Susan did not inform me that the home was still in First Look and not open to investors at this time. Susan did not highlight any features of the home, nor did she talk about the neighborhood or the surrounding area. When asked, Susan paused to reference the property file and stated, "In looking at the pictures it appears that it needs interior paint, carpet, appliances, and a few windows, which the previous seller must have taken." She stated, "I don't know why they have to remove things from the homes." I asked, "Do you have offers?" She paused to check the property file and answered, "No offers." I asked, "Is the property behind the home farmland?" She paused to reference the property file and replied, "It appears
In 2025, I will be twenty-nine years old and hopefully married. I will be married to my significant other of ten years Earnest Palmer III, who is a dentist. I would have been recently graduating with a bachelor’s in Culinary Arts and trying to plan to open my own restaurant, BubbaD’s Eateries. Knowing my big headed husband of mine, I probably had a baby then and trying to have another baby. Hopefully, by then Earnest will get rid of the idea naming our son, King. We will be living in the suburbs near New York City but working in the city. Being a woman with great memory, I probably wrote a memoir about my crazy life and trying to sell it to a publisher. If none of the publishers wants to publish my memoir, I will probably sell it the Lifetime
Just seventeen minutes later another plane attacked straight into the South Tower, this made it evident that the collisions were not accidental, yet deliberate and coordinated which sparked the suspicion of other hijacked aircrafts. Throughout the nation, television news reports caught live footage of the second plane flying straight into the tower causing another explosion, everyone watching and even the news reporters themselves were in a state of distress and disbelief (Source 11). Thousands of lives were lost in accordance to this terrorist act, not only those in the towers, yet all the local services giving aid to those in need. A man was seen
Over my years of school, one big influence on me has always been sports. Ever since a young age, I have always enjoyed playing and watching sports. In my four years in high school, I have fell in love with the sport of lacrosse.
I woke up and took one bite out of my pop tart but that one bite was all I could eat. My legs were shaking, and my heart was pounding. My dad told me, “It is a true honor to even make it this far so go out there and have some fun.” Once I heard this statement, I knew I was ready to go. I arrived at school and boarded the bus. The car ride was an hour and fifteen minutes of hearing the squeaking of the wheel on the bus. My teammates were getting their heads ready for the big game.
The fatigue of the flight crew may have played a major role in the crash. The flight crew was just coming off a 13½ hours shift, which is just shy of the 14-hour limit that has been set in place by the FAA. The fatigue of the flight crew could have seriously hampered their decision-making ability. The pilots of the flight were informed many times of the impending weather hazards. In fact the flight crew were informed of two wind shear alerts as the plane was on final approach. These alerts alone should have indicated to the pilots to terminate the approach and to land at an alternate airport where the weather was not as severe. Due to the amount of time they were in the air that and their anticipation to land the plane may have caused them to take unnecessary risks, putting everyone onboard in jeopardy. I believe not only did the weather play a direct role
An American Airline, Boeing 767, had been hijacked and was loaded with 20,000 gallons of jet fuel. Boeing 767 was crashed into the north tower of the World Trade Center in New York City. The impact of the crash had left a wide open, burning hole near the 80th floor of the 110-story skycraper. The crash of the Boeling 767 had instantly killed over hundreds of people, and left hundreds more people trapped up in the higher levels of the skyscraper. Firefighters and other rescuers had started to evacuate the people left in the World Trade Center. Leaving numerous people confused, startled, and petrified about the hijacked plane and the accident, many people had not known that it had only been the start of the day.
Her father’s words echoed through her head as one might hear a reverberation throughout the Taj Mahal. Continuous. Chilling. Having no control to distill the wavelengths until they mellowed out on their own accord. She tried to anatomize the depth of his phrase, more than dutifully needed but Davina needed to know why. Why did she need to keep an open mind and more importantly, who the hell was about to come bursting through that door. But then again, did it really matter in the first place. When she thought about it, the brunette could have laughed at the idea. That an unattributed, faceless figure had her panties in a bunch. Surely Dominic wouldn’t think to waste her time with venial diversions,
life is stupidly hard sometimes, and only made harder when we pass 18 and have to make our own significant choices. It used to be that society and our parents shaped our futures and even pushed us in the direction they wanted us to succeed in, however hard I tried though I always fell short of my parents expectations. I didnt believe people could change and that neither of my parents would change their way of thinking and that I would never be able to change what I was, but people can change and I know that now. They wanted me to go to college and develop myself in a successful career insted I ran from what my parents wanted, got emancipated and married at 16 and then divorced at 21.
Just so you know, this is the Big Apple and I rule this town. New York City is filled with tall buildings, great culture, and historical sites. No other city has so much beauty that it takes your breath away; yet, there is a real danger that lurks on the streets. I should know because I am Detective Michael Morgan a United States Super Spy in charge of capturing dastardly villains who are set on destroying our world. Armed with mind-altering powers, Alex Higgins is on the top of the FBI’s list of the ten most wanted men in America. This thug is one of the greatest danger to our world and must be captured and jailed in the vault of death. There is no place safe for him to hide from the law and rumor has it, he is in my town. You break the law here in New York City, you pay the ultimate price: freedom.
I started drawing when I was 16. I was cursing 10th grade, or how is called in my country, Dominican Republic “Segundo de Bachillerato”. It was recess. I was alone in my classroom that day, besides two or three people who were just killing time there, and I didn’t had much to do with my time. I was at the last book of a series of books which names I can’t remember and If I recall correctly the last book was very boring for some reason so I didn’t wanted to read it anymore. So, looking for something to do, I stood from my seat and walked boringly down the aisle of chairs and that was, not my first interaction with art, but the first time I remember i liked art or paid attention to it.
