“UUgh! I don't want to do this solo hike,” I groaned. “It's fine. It’s only like 45 seconds” said Mrs.Balterzen. “Cough, Cough, I’m dying” Laki expressed. I was so annoyed with this hike for the fact that the mosquitoes were so bad it's like when my little brother throws a bunch of legos at me, and the night hike has started. This hike is called the sensory hike it's at night and it's when we do our solo hike AT NIGHT it's gonna be so scary. When the hike started it was I should be thinking more positive but so much could happen in the next couple hours. I have been so tired from atwood the hikes take FOREVER and they make your legs hurt a lot. After walking for like an hour my group and I finally went to the stop for the solo hike. “Are you guys ready, I'm gonna start my way and in 40 seconds Mrs.Balterzen will send the first person” The instructor said. “Oh no” I thought. One good thing was that i was like 13th person to go so at …show more content…
Balterzen. After the scream that we all thought was coming from the instructor I looked at Mrs. Balterzen and she looked really worried, and all kids know when an adult is worried something bad happened. So, we were all running through the dark cloudy night with trees in both of our sides but the worst part was, there were holes everywhere what if the instructor fell in a hole and possibly broke her ankle and maybe worse she got cut by a sharp stick and she was bleeding badly. I don't know how much damage a stick can because, but if it's sharp enough and you fall in it the chances of it causing a lot of bleeding is high. When we got there I was correct, the one time I was correct on something it doesn't pay off well the instructor was in the ground with a stick stabbing her leg and we see a man running off into the woods, I ask the instructor what happened and she
She’s bleeding. Help! Someone call 911!” She yelled. Everyone rushed out of the school with fear. A big crowd headed toward the door. Alex and I were squished up in the middle. No one will ever notice it is me. Before we can all get out the teachers already blocked us off. Oh no! I thought. I just wanted to get out of here. Short enough, the cops and ambulance were pulling up. The screaming sirens and flashing lights filled the parking lot. The teachers guided us all into the gym so the paramedics could easily get her body. Everyone was filled with confusion and fear. Everything just happened so quickly. Mrs. Crawsond made her way onto stage and approached the
I did not meet with Pt. , I was paged by Lisa Micciulla, front desk in the emergency room to please come to the ED concerning an "urgent" situation regarding this Pt. When I arrived in the ED registration area an MGH Security personnel stopped me to talk with Pt's daughter, Charlene McDonald. Pt's daughter explained she was not being allowed to see her father, who she understands was brought to MGH for surgery after a fall. Explained to Ms. McDonald, I was aware of Pt having a gaurdian, and that there was a court ordered visitation schedule between Ms. McDonald and Pt. She reported this was an extreme situation and she showed me text messages she had sent to Pt's guardian, Attorney Tine Hajjar. I advised I could not allow Ms. McDonald access to Pt. Based on the order from probate court. Ms. McDonald has visits with Pt on Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday 11:00 a.m. -4:00 p.m.
"We have visual on Shepherd and LAMB leaving the house," Eli, the head director of this operation, and every other control worker in the headquarters was relayed the agent's message through their personal headsets. Eli peered intently at the giant, central screen in the center of the darkened headquarters, lit only by dim overhead lights and the electronic glow of tens of computer monitors and control boards. On the screen, Eli watched the live HD video relay a visual of a young girl take the first step out of a red brick house. Behind her, as expected, a snow, white lamb stepped out of the house as well. Eli took a gulp of his coffee, laced with an extra shot of espresso in special regards to the big day ahead of him, pressed the intercom
The gentle rays of the early morning sun were not the first things to wake Dr. John Watson. An alarm clock, placed strategically by the bedside, began to beep at approximately six am, waking the ex-army doctor. Now used to civilian life after only a few years, like any normal person, John slammed the snooze button and snuggled back into his warm bed once more. However, living in the same apartment building as the infamous Sherlock Holmes, sleep was a sacred privilege that needed to be honored by both parties’ in silence. But today was Mrs. Hudson’s birthday, so falling back asleep was not an option. Last night, both residents agreed to do something nice for their sweet old landlady by getting up early and making pancakes as a thank you for
“5, 6, 7, and 8. Ok, see you tomorrow. Make sure to go over the steps and be ready,” the coach said. Walking to the side of the gym and picking up my bag, I looked to my left to see if my cousin was ready to go. As I get into the car, my cousin and I talk about how practicing for tryout went. You could hear the excitement in my voice as I tell about the moves we went over. How every step and every turn made the dance come together. Going home, I started my homework later than when I usually do because of practicing the moves over and over. The next couple of days went very smoothly for me. I still remembered the dance moves, finished all my work, and still was able to have a social life until the weekend came.
If you dedicate hard work and perseverance to anything you set your mind to, you can grab hold of your dream in triumph and success. This I believe
Aleigha’s eyebrows raised and her bright, baby blue eyes got big as she relized she could have drowned but she was happy she survived! One day she woke up to a massive flood, her house was flooded everything was all over the floors looked like an earthquake hit them up. Things were all over the place people were outside on canoes helping to save the drowning, the whole city was flooded. She new she had to get out of there as fast as she could but first her and her mom have to board up all the windows then they need to evacuate. They step outside and BOOM get hit with strong wind and heavy rain! Mom is scared she looks at Aleigha and says ”Aleigha i can’t do this we are going to just have to stay”. Aleigha answers back as she cries and says
“You’re OVERWEIGHT” I have always been told. My mom was overweight most of her life as well and she wanted better for me. She never wanted to see me struggle as much as she did. My father was an alcoholic around the time I was born so mom raised me as a single parent for the first few years of my life until she meant her now current husband. She recently just emigrated from Haiti at the time, and she was trying to settle a life in America. I was looked up to my mom; she makes me realize that ambition is more than anything. Growing up, I always struggle with my body, my self-image. Every time I looked in the mirror, I have never liked what I have seen, how tall I am, how my arms looked, how my cheeks looked in comparison to my nose and my mouth, how my stomach fell from the
There was once a boy with pride and aspiration, he wanted to become a doctor. His parents were very satisfied with his grades, and every exceptional thing was expected out of him. He was always so self-reliant, but this boy wanted more in his life, he wanted action. As smart as he was, intelligence couldn’t give him everything, the unsuspected came out for utmost people, specifically his parents. He developed into a bully, an obnoxious and insolent bully, with good grades. However, he was very infamous for all the atrocious deeds he’s done, putting him in the center of hate. By eleventh grade his grades went drastically low, making his parents dispirited in him. After graduation, instead of advancing to college, he became an unemployed man.
Walking into a restaurant that serves almost nothing but pizza, which is something you have never had before, kind of frightens you thinking you might not even like the pizza. Once the waitress brought out this steaming hot pan with gooey, cheesy, and mushy pizza on it made me wonder why I have not tried this any sooner. It made my taste buds crave this taste for the next two weeks. Another thing I’m crazy about is chicken alfredo. My mother served this delicious dish to me for the very first time when I was eleven years old. It was so creamy and moist. The sauce in it gave you a million different tastes; the chicken in it was so moist and juicy. Lastly, a couple of months ago I went to Outback steak house in Tupelo; they accidentally
brain scrambles for a reasonable explanation for the voice that wasn’t mine. The voice had been deep and scratchy, like the owner had swallowed a dozen razor blades and coughed them up again. It definitely does not belong to anyone I know so this can’t be a prank.
More often than not, the life of a middle-class, seven-year-old girl includes gymnastics, piano lessons, soccer, theater, swim team, and ballet, sometimes all simultaneously. She engages in each activity for a year, a few months, or maybe even a measly week or two before putting one suddenly insipid enterprise down in favor of a presumably more appealing endeavor.
Despite growing up in a family of musicians and having played music my entire life, I didn’t learn about my exceptional ear until quite recently. During a guitar lesson sophomore year, my instructor and I were watching a music video on YouTube. I’d never seen it before, so he was quite shocked when I told him the exact tuning the guitarist was in – all by ear.
The heavy sky, swollen with unspent rain, sagged toward the earth. It was a raining day. I didn’t think I have ever been so serious before. “..When did my mom lose her voice?” I asked my grandma with a heavy tone.
A child runs inside a small classroom gathering his thoughts wondering what he saw. Bewildered by what he had just seen he had become so frightened he hadn’t realized his hands were shaking. Collecting his thoughts he remembered that he heard a banging on a door someone opened it and a man with patches of flesh missing ran up and bit the student who opened the door. Dumbfound by the whole experience he began barricading the door shut and looking for something to defend himself with. Easily finding a meter stick as he entered a mathematics classroom he began sharpening it scared stiff the entire time. Finally he felt safe although he could hear running and screaming every second coming from outside the doors. Getting up he finally had the strength
