Entered inside the Pentagon today. ;) I met Sgt Major of the Army as he first mistakenly called me out and thought I was someone else, and as he was trying to crack open his own office. lol I had a nice conversation with him and the woman he was with. He shook my hand and said it was a pleasure to meet me. I feel truly
Growing up in Iraq, I endured my homeland’s journey through a difficult period in its history. No one was unaffected: civilians’ lives were disrupted by years of wars and detrimental economic sanctions, but amid the destruction, I saw the good in my community. I witnessed a massive humanitarian effort led by healthcare professionals, as physicians worked to meet the medical needs in my town. My dreams were shaped by this exposure, and ever since, I’ve hoped to join these doctors in their efforts.
At age 15 I did what most people in this country haven’t, I went to the Middle East with my family. I was a young kid hearing very scary stories from the Middle East but my parents forced me to come to place that is one of the scariest places in the world as an American. My parents both born in Kabul, Afghanistan wanting to go back to their homeland, they both missed their families and wanted to see them after being away with them for over 30 years. As a kid, I watched the news a lot and I would always hear the news coming out of the Middle East this made me very worried, but my parents assured me that we will be staying in a safe area I arrived in a new country where all my ancestors came from but to me it was a hostile situation. I finally arrived in Kabul on June 23 2014 and it was a very magical experience. The people there were extremely friendly and even though there was a language barrier they always made sure I was full and happy. As I was always full I kept eating because the food felt so fresh and
The year was 2007 and my brother Eric had just returned home from deployment to Iraq and the mood was ecstatic around the house. My dad was welling up with tears, finally being able to see his oldest child returning home from service. Mom was also very happy as well, repeatedly fondling over Eric as soon as he entered the house. Eric and I had always been close, even though there was a decent age gap between us of 15 years. We talked for hours about what his time was like in Iraq and in the military; he seemed open to talking about it even though he witnessed some fairly nightmarish experiences. Eventually I got the bright idea to challenge him to a wrestling match on the lawn even though he had 120 pounds on me. He tried to talk me out of
During my academic life there have been several bumps in the road; they haven’t necessarily been anything I could control, such as academic failure. These bumps have been moves from in and out of the country. Ever since I was two years old, I’ve been moving in and out of the country due to my parents being government employees. Typically the moves would occur every one and a half years so the moves would obviously have an effect on my education; this was mostly due to the fact that almost no schools have the same requirements, other than department of defense education schools. I’ve been everywhere, from Washington to Florida, from Germany to Japan. These moves have forced me to interact with many different kinds of people and school systems;
On the morning of september 11, 2001, something happened. People went to work in new york as they regularly did. My job in the world trade center. I arrived in my lambo and crashed into a bush because, I was late for a meeting,because i woke up 20 minutes late.
Have you ever been all the way to the top of the World Trade Center?Well I have and it was amazing!I was pretty scared because I'm afraid of heights,but when I got up to the top I forgot all about being scared.When I was going up in the elevator it showed a amazing virtual view of the buildings around the World Trade Center.
Animal Farm, by George Orwell, uses real world examples to link a specific purpose to the unfortunate society. This novel is relevant to the world because in today’s society. Power is often misused and abused. Today’s world if full of scandals by people misusing funds, abuse of power, and taking advantage of the innocent.. To link this novel even more to the real word, Orwell compares Animal Farm to the Russian revolution, which leads to symbols throughout this novel. Authors today are extremely different from Orwell. Some of the symbolic meanings are the barn, the windmill, the Russian revolution, the seven commandments, and the battle of the cowshed, with a multitude of more. In the novel Animal Farm, George Orwell incorporates three

First, the cost of war is tremendous. America is so in debt, and instead of trying to pay it all off, they’re using it to buy weapons of mass destructions. As our national debt goes up, so do our problems. The money that is being spent on the transportations for the soldiers, the food/ shelter being paid for, the weapons, can all be used to pay for much more important things. The taxpayer’s money could be used to fund underprivileged families and schools. Schools could be using the money to fund the music and arts programs that could help the students express themselves. The money can also be used to help keep people off the streets, and even fix roads and buildings all over the country. We can make this country beautiful, but instead the
If you go down, you will find a way to get back up and thank whoever brought you down because he just made you that much stronger.
The art of motivation is very unknown. Those looking for motivation want it to be something that they can find and use to their advantage. Those who have already acquired it will look for ways to keep it in order to further succeed. Writer Daniel Pink refers to motivation as the use of rewards and punishments to help manage employees and push them onto further goals and help their organization succeed. Pink explains the very basic motivation 1.0 as a forms of motivation that is instilled in all humans because they fulfill our basic necessities such as: food, shelter, and sex.
To do these things, I have to be someone who has the purpose of studying and planning for the future with care. The college I wanted to go to was the Naval Academy, so I spent two years at community college to consolidate my knowledge and one year to get my CEH certification, then I take the test to become US citizen and apply for the college that I wished. However, I have to learn hard and retake SAT, my goal in SAT score is about 1450/1600 and during my college years I have to try to get some security certifications that improve my knowledge. If I graduate from naval academy, then I must serve them for five years and hopefully later accept to the National Security Agency to help protect the network, prevent hostile forces and terrorists.

that morning I was in college at work that morning I had to go to work when one of the secretaries said that one plane crashed into the world trade center. And I thought it was one of the choppers that land on the word trade center and it was just an accident . So as we kept on going through the day the second plane hits and that when things started to get a little weird.I was thinking It can't be a convenience that two planes crashed in the twin towers on the same day. At first we didn't know it was a terrorist attack..but we thought that something was going on. But as we when on the news they were saying it was a terrorist attack. I was really scared because I was in long island away from my family. so the whole time I was thinking about
