Personal Narrative: Donalbain

I am grateful for Bella. We both play this game called, township, and she often help me on there. She either give me supplies I requested, or help both of us earn reward in competition. She is also able to makes the game playing experience more enjoyable. In addition, one time, I have only until 15 minutes until my challenge is over. However, I cannot produce the product needed within the timeframe. Bella was there to make a last minute “delivery”.

One day I was in class and a tornado erupted 17 miles away. Alex Ogle and William Burnett went outside with me and somebody came by and picked us up and dropped us off on an island. We were stranded on an island. We were safe until the tornado was over.

What if you were destined to save your town, would you be heroic enough? What is a hero? Campbell’s Heroic Journey, The Hobbit, and story/ film explains. My idea of a hero is being a person who sacrifices themselves for others, and doesn't think people are less worthy than themselves. The Heroic Journey describes that anyone can be a hero, examples of that would be The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien, which is a story about a group of men go on a death defying journey to save the town. The other story is How to Train Your Dragon is similar with other supernatural events. Such as dragons and bugs. Despite having similar heroes, The Hobbit had a stronger Heroic Journey because there were more obstacles.

My mom and I were seated on red felt wooden chairs in the opera box above downstage right; basking in the anticipation of the start of the musical. The smell of the theater was musty, almost like a library. It even had those rays of dust and light that you see in old libraries. Looking onward, I saw the monitor in which Alex Lacamoire, the conductor, directs the actors and musicians. Closer to the balcony, huge metal spotlights hung, all containing the magical power to change a minimalist wooden stage into a bar, then a field, then a closed room in a restaurant, and finally the Weehawken dueling grounds. The water sparkled like sapphires, clear and bright under the sun. From the bow of the boat, Alayna peered out towards the Narrow Sea. Beyond the bay, adventure called her like a siren song. Every day when I get up to go work, I will be impacting the lives of the elder person and countless members of their inner circle. This will give me a sense of purpose in my life.

Macbeth retreats to England to find Malcolm to convince him to form an army to fight against Macbeth to take back Scotland. Macduff tries to persuade Malcolm to fight back against Macduff yells “not in the legions/ of horrid hell can come a devil more damned / in evils to top Macbeth” (Shakespeare 4.3.67-69). Malcolm test Macduff to see if he is still loyal to him or If Macduff is loyal to Macbeth by telling him how awful of a king we would be. Macduff responds by saying nobody could be worse than Macbeth, so fight to take your country back. Macduff learns the plan of Malcolm as he trust he is still loyal to him, but before he can celebrate he finds out that his family had been murdered by Macbeth. Macduff decides by handling the situation by saying, “I shall do so,/but i must also feel it as a man” (Shakespeare 4.3.260-261). Macduff fights against Macbeth to win back Scotland, even though Macduff’s family is gone for disrespecting Macbeth. He handles the situation like a man by fighting back but he's still is going to be upset that he lost his family. Macduff teams up with Malcolm and wins back Scotland, Macduff's selfless ambitions ends up to save the

Change is inevitable. Whether it be positive or negative, change is constantly happening. More than often change can take you from the known world and spit you into the unknown, where you return a changed person. While embarking on the journeys provoked by change, you are on a hero’s journeys. The hero’s journey was popularized by Joseph Campbell. When describing what prompts hero’s journeys, Joseph Campbell said,

“We are gathered here today to celebrate the life of Alayne Karola Voss, she was a loving mother a dedicated worker and a woman who spent her life helping others.” The crowd was silent as the child of the deceased stood in the sand surrounded by loved ones. Many people came to pay tribute to the woman they adored, her body now severed from her soul and turned to ash. “My mother as all of you know a would not want today to be a day of tears and longing but rather a day of remembrance and joy. A day to gather and think of all the times you shared with her, good and bad.” A few small smiles spread throughout the blanket of black, as the waves washed up on the shore the woman dearly loved.

There’s a slim chance that a person can be strong all the time. Although that may be true, there’s an internal drive to want to be the person that everyone can rely on for support. I embody that person. I have moved twenty-seven different times, my parents are divorced, I have lived by myself for the past five years, and I learned how to live without people. However, since I knew what true loneliness felt like I made sure that everyone knew they could rely on me. I have never really cried and always carried the persona that I didn’t care what people thought about me, and I made sure that even if I was having a bad day that no one else was. I have been bullied ever since I can remember, until I gained personal confidence and was determined to

Growing up with a father in the military, you move around a lot more than you would like to. I was born just east of St. Louis in a city called Shiloh in Illinois. When I was two years old my dad got the assignment to move to Hawaii. We spent seven great years in Hawaii, we had one of the greatest churches I have ever been to name New Hope. New Hope was a lot like Olivet's atmosphere, the people were always friendly and there always something to keep someone busy. I used to dance at church, I did hip-hop and interpretive dance, but you could never tell that from the way I look now.
