- When I was in grade 5, a dude competed with me in drawing guns and I was no doubt better than him. After that I realized drawing guns is much more fascinating than watching movies about superpowers. Then I started to be passionate about it. - Can you name your favorite actor? - There are plentiful I can't name them all! - Just some of them please? Pornstars maybe? - I'll kick you in the ass
In 30 BCE, Egypt became a province of Rome. A devastating military defeat at the Battle of Actium caused the fall of Egypt’s Pharaohs and on a larger scale, the rise of the Roman Empire. With any great changes in society come a massive change in expression, and the art of Roman Egypt is certainly a prime example. The artistic canons and subjects of Ancient Egypt that had lasted millennia suddenly change and are eventually replaced by Rome’s. In this paper I will discuss the merging of the two cultures and artistic styles.
I'VE BEEN SUPER EXCITED FOR THIS TO COME OUT!!! For those who don't know this is one of my anticipated of the year (you can check out my list if you haven't already, I posted it in September). But since this is the last book of the series I don't feel the need to write a very long non-spoiler review. I won't write the reasons why I love this series so much in my Top Ten list if you would like to check that. The series starts out in this futuristic world where a young girl named Cinder catches the eye of Prince Kai, the future empire of the Common Wealth. The only problem is that she's a cyborg, part-human part-robot. For this book, I would give it about a 4/5 stars. I was definitely a great read but it wasn't my favorite book in the series, I honestly felt that Cress was the best book, then
One topic I found useful and interesting is the difference between debt and equity financing. The mix of these two when used by a business is called its capital structure. My goal with my degree is to be able to run a business like Aurora. Aurora Health Care is a very large not for profit organization. Understanding the key concepts of the capital structure will allow me to make informed decisions throughout processes.
We played a soccer game yesterday against Buhler, we beat them 5-1 our first win of the season. Unfortunately I got injured within like 5 minutes of the game, I sprained my ankle and it hurt really bad so I had to go out of the game for a little bit so the coach could wrap my ankle. After about 5 minutes of walking on it I started getting used to the pain. So the coach asked me if I was good to play, so I said yes. I ended up going back in with about 30 minutes left, so when I went back in coach put me as the striker which is the attacking position. Their team wasn’t so good so I ended up running a bunch because I’m fast and can produce chances. I got a couple of chances to score but didn’t get a goal, Juan Castillo got a goal and that basically ended the half. At half
Living in Dallas Texas is not so bad. I lived in an apartment building that was not so big, but the worst part was that there were tons of roaches. So we decided to move to Frisco. Also my dad has a job there. As the last few days of school came we started packing. It was hard because my brother was giving a hard time to my Mom. On the last day of school we left to go home. We had a scheduled flight to Puerto Rico to visit some relatives. After we came back we went to Houston to visit my cousins. They stayed with us for a month in my house, then after days of packing they left and we started packing. We did a lot of shopping P.S I HATE SHOPPING oh and P.P.S. I only like shopping if it's for me. We had most of the stuff in backpacks & suitcases,
My job at injury was working as an assembler for Volt Information Services, Inc. This job was in the heavy duty range. I had no history of injuries to my right foot prior to my injury. On a typical day I walked and stood for the whole eight hour shift, and was required to lift “nodes” which weighed 18-100 pounds each, about 30 times a day.
I like to beat the rush for lines and do not prefer being late, but
The most important game of the year was coming up and I was ready. Everything was going perfect for me, because I was the starting QB as a freshmen at Englert High School. We were playing Joston High School the number 1 team in the nation since 1960, it was going to be a tough game because they had the number 1 ranked defense, but we had the best offense. The day before the game was just a normal day I went to school and had football practice after school. A couple weeks ago one of the other teams that we had played earlier in the year wanted another game so we decided to play them. They had been the hardest team we had played all year, we had only beat them by a last efforts field goal it hardly went in as it bounced in off the crossbar.
When I was younger I had always been described as mature. Although I wasn’t anywhere near being “mature”, it was a word always used to describe me, well-mannered and mature. While my brother was goofy and social, I was shy and serious. We were twins yet total opposites. As a child, because that was the word almost always associated with me, it crae unusual, almost toxic idea about myself. I had to be mature to be what people liked about me. So, it never occurred to me to be able to not take myself seriously and say something like “Oops that was dumb” and laugh it off. For some reason that didn’t make sense to me to say silly things like that.
My road into choosing medicine has been a turbulent route, but the bumps and hurdles along the way have created defining impressions on me. Over the years, I have been pushed and pulled into and away from being a physician. I interest in medicine initially sparked my high school friend asked me to take his job in doing his father’s, a primary care physician, paperwork for the year. I was in need of some gas money, so I gladly accepted. After signing towers of paper work regarding HIPAA, I began doing the simple task of scanning medical files and typing them into the electronic system.
Bbrriiinngg! The alarm clock rang as I woke up to see sunlight pouring in through my bedroom window the day had finally arrived the first day of school I spent so much time worrying over this one day I got out of bed got dressed and had breakfast I was very anxious about starting a new school in a new state as I shove the last bite of cereal into my mouth I started to worry what if nobody liked me how could I make it through the year I had to stop thinking about everything that could go wrong and start thinking about the below opportunities when my dad pulled up to the front of the school I felt like I had a million little butterflies fluttering in my stomach I got out of the car and walked to the big black metal doors shining in the sunlight
Everyone has a fear, even me. Specifically I fear the past will change both me and my future. Your question might be what’s your past? That is my story to tell you. Should something like this ever happen to you, I know how you feel, and you know the same for me. In Sheridan, Wyoming I was a nine year old and I thought nothing would change my future. That’s when it came. The hidden truth. I wish someone would tell me the truth. No lies and no hidden truths. I mean I’m older now just tell me the truth of the past. I know now the past had changed, and why it changed.
One beautiful, sunny day, I was riding my bike in the backyard of my house. The supporting wheels of my bike made a pitiful noise. So I wanted to ride my bike without supporting wheels for two reasons. The first reason was off course that the supporting wheels made a terrible noise. The other reason was that all my friends could ride their bikes without supporting wheels.
I remember the first day of my 10th grade year in high school. Walking down the small hallways that were scented with coffee, cologne, and perfume all assorted together. Right by my side was my friend named Mia Williams. Mia was Native American with long black hair that was in a French Braid, and she was around 5’7, 150 lbs. Every step we took, insisted of us bumping shoulders with other people that were walking in a different direction.
I'll have to hunt for mice and such, but all the land from here to the Atlantic's been claimed by someone or another and they'll hold onto their game like a mother bear protecting her cubs.”
