I was once an employee at a coffee shop by my house known as “Caribou Coffee off Highway 36”. I was the local barista in my high school as well as my neighborhood. I networked with people of different ages. There was an old lady who came to Caribou everyday and get her small decaf dark chocolate mocha, she also never leaves before updating me on her grandkids. I even was known as “the guy from caribou” in my high school. It was nice working at Caribou Coffee, it was the place I met so many new friends of all backgrounds within my community, and most importantly I discovered many skills to being a genuine, and proper adult. I encountered many situations with people, however Thanksgiving of 2015 stood out to me the most. It was the day I met …show more content…
The story begins about three days before thanksgiving when our tips started to disappear. Word was going around that a lady with a black hoodie is the one guilty of the cime. She appeared twice before thanksgiving day and on the day of thanksgiving she made an appearance around 10 am in the morning. I had just clocked in and I was very upset that I had to work on thanksgiving day. I had just woke up about thirty minutes ago and I was not detecting the usual energy I experience at work. However, they day took a complete turn when the lady with the black hoodie came in attempting to steal our tips again. My supervisor barely saw the lady as she walked out the door with our tips in her bag. She yelled “Hey! That's the girl stealing out …show more content…
The lady quickly picked up her pace and go out to the street. It was quite windy and cold with snow falling. I ran out with my apron and headset on and quickly caught up to her. I approached her and asked
Little did I know the lady latter on called the coporate office and made all sought ofounded allegations against me. Luckily for me, my manager was there on that day, so she knew what really happened. She told the district manager that most of what the lady said were untrue. Thanks to her, I was able to keep my job. Some weeks latter, I checked out that same lady, and she had bought a lot and had three carts.

Ever heard of the Appalachian trail, it’s 2,000 miles of wildness stretched of all you see.
Have you ever been in a situation where you didn’t think you could do it? Well I have many times and I’m going to write about a time during Rodeo when I didn’t think I was going to be able to do well in goat tying.
Humans are animals. Even as developed, personalized, and intelligent as we are, we share a deep connection with every living thing. However, many of the problems in the world result from the human belief that technology is more powerful and can replace the serene, perfect essence of nature. I believe that a connection with nature can heal wounds and help humans find balance in their lives.
We greeted each other with kind respect. We met on the trail when his wagon broke. I offer to help Curtis Mick Colloni with his wagon. We exchange each other name and we left. I ask if he would like to join me on the way to Oregon. He said he had 2 other family going on the trail and ask if I would join. He also mentioned that he was the leader of the group. I merge with the group and together we form a wagon
Disadvantages of outsourcing assembly- • Assembling prices- They have to also pay the prices for assembling the products outside from their company. • Maintenance of quality- Sometimes companies do not maintain the products quality as contracted with manufactures.
To Kill a Mockingbird was a novel that pushed emphasis on the caste system set in place to segregate the characters by race, ethnicity, gender, and class. These societal boundaries were the main cause for all conflicts in the book by making consequences if one were to decide that they did not want to fit into the stereotypes. Although the district the story was set in was fictional, Maycomb County’s issues are very real and are reflected in real life throughout the past. Racism in court has occurred in past cases where an African American is wrongly convicted or excessively punished for a crime. Gender roles have been changing throughout the course of history, resulting in people being forced to act a certain way or being treated wrongfully
My trip to the Grand Canyon was the best experience I ever had so far in my life. My grandparents from Korea came along with us. Even though I saw them last year it was still an enjoyable moment that I had. Grand Canyon is located in Arizona so what our family did was fly to Las Vegas early in the morning and arrive in Nevada around 9 o’clock am. Driving to Grand Canyon was also five hours with heavy traffic. Driving and stopping every hour was hard to do but at the end it was all worth it. It was good that I had couple electronic devices and my family to keep me in company.
Prior to attending Algonquin college for my first year in the practical nursing program, I had a rather large break from my academic studies. Being out of school for over five years, I can’t say I remember the entirety of my experiences in English courses. What I do remember, and what stands true to this point, is that I am not very fond of English classes. From as far back as I can remember, I always struggled with spelling and grammar. Throughout elementary, secondary, and post-secondary school, English was always the one subject that I just couldn’t ace. English courses make me feel overwhelmed and anxious, as I know I am being critiqued on the one thing I am not good at.
When people are on winter break, most want to go out and play in the snow, but who knew that the snow could be one's worst nightmare when stubbornness comes into play. Most people go out on an enjoyable snow-white day to sled down snowy hills and fling semi-hard snowballs at each other. No one would think that maybe sledding down the snowy hills could be so dangerous when they are having fun, and trying to show off. I certainly did not think that it was dangerous, but boy was I so wrong. Normally being a Los Angeles girl, going up to Big Bear is such an amazing experience, because down in the Los Angeles region it does not snow at all. However, I was not ready to face what was slowly going to change me in the mountains of California.
The sun was glistening through the tall, swaying pines. To the right of the trail, a gentle river flowed softly down towards the mouth of the lake. Walking across the rickety wooden bridge, I inhaled a deep breath of refreshingly crisp mountain air. The sun beat down on me as I made my way across the bridge and back onto the well-used hiking trail. The ambient sounds of chirping birds, babbling water, and the croaks of several frogs filled my ears as I made my way around the bend. As I entered the mouth of the forest, I could see my father standing in the middle of the path, glancing upwards, taking in the beauty that had began to engulf us. “We better get going.” he said, looking back at me. “There’s still many miles to go.” I smiled and turned, taking in one last view of the beautiful creekside. Then, with determination, we set out to finish the challenging trek we had started.
Most people are all grown up when they finally figure out what they want to do with their life. I was 4. I realized what I wanted to be when I attended my very first Rodeo. Even though it was so long ago I can remember that day like it was yesturday. That day got me on the path to my future.
My most significant experience in my life is unforgettable. I was there with my sisters, my mom, and my dad. It was the most horrifying event that I have ever witnessed. The daunting image in my head is still clear as day, as though it happened yesterday. This event did not affect only me, but also my family. The story that I am about to tell you may change the way you see things and it may not. All I can say is, it
My heart was thumping heavily, as the bus took a turn towards the mountains. I didn’t know why I had agreed, but it was too late to turn back.
