A couple of summers ago, I went to adventureland with my friend kaiti. She was my best friend at the time. Her family invited me to come along free. We had an awesome day!
It all started bright and early. They came and picked me up and we headed to adventureland. It was such a long car ride. On the way we watched Alice In Wonderland and Vampires suck. When we arrived there it started to rain. I was not very happy. Kaiti made me go on a rollercoaster for the first time ever! It was very scary i have never held a bar so tight in my life. It was called the dragon and flipped around and did circles. She also made me go on the tornado which was another roller coaster. But it wasn't as bad as the first one. While we were on all these rides they seemed to take pictures of us flying down the dang thing. My face was priceless, kaiti enjoyed making fun of me. The only thing i could think about on those roller coasters was not to open my mouth because bugs could fly in.

Me and kaiti walked over to this food place, and got a cheeseburger and a pretzel. After we were done eating our food we decided to walk around and look at all the stores, we found a blacklight and kaiti really wanted it so i helped her pay for it. They had some awesome stuff but the price was a little much. There was this skylift thing that took you over the park, and that was mainly what we did the rest of the time. The weather finally cleared up and it started to get sunny. Kaiti’s little sister and her friend went to the water park and me and kaiti rode more
Simultaneously, Emily, Will, Justin, Marianna and me went to six-flags we started off in spain but little did we know that we would be going on the scariest ride we have ever been of except Emily cause she rode the Texas Giant which is the biggest ride there. However when we went to the superhero part of Six Flags we saw a few of our ideals like batman, joker, etc. Subsequently we ended up going to the Gouthum hall of fame first and that was amazing we were singing songs the entire way in and out.
Since I was too young and too short to ride any rides, me and my sister went to the water park. The rides were still really big and scary, but also very fun at the same time, there was quite a few cool water slides that I
So we got our luggage, and hauled it up to our rooms. After that, we went to bed for the night. After driving for about 3 and a half hours, that was some well needed rest. The next morning, we woke up, watched some TV, went and ate some breakfast, then got dressed for the day. A little while later, Ms. Rea came to get us, so we could leave the hotel. After we had left the hotel, we got some gas then hit the road. During the ride I was excited, because I had never been to Texas before. On the way there, me and Carson watched Superman I, until we got aggravated with our DVD player, because it would freeze up at certain parts. So after a little while of doing it, we just turned it off. We pretty much just talked all the rest of the way there. Then we got to Dallas. It was a pretty city, it also has some tall buildings. A little bit of the way through Dallas I saw it in the distance, AT&T Stadium, and I was so pumped! The stadium was in the distance, because even though they are the Dallas Cowboys, they technically play in Arlington. After we got through Dallas we saw Six Flags. It was cool, because it was such a big amusement park. Also, what was ironic was that we saw the Superman ride there. There was not
But we weren't stopping there! We went over again to ride some more rides. Then we got hungry again. So my mom got us some funnel cake! It was delicious! Then we went to the Ferris wheel to cool off a little. By this time we kind of split up and now it was only me and my best friend Nate. Nate and I have been friends since the 2nd grade. We would do everything together.
The next few days were full of time at the beach and experiencing many new things. Ernie took us to almost every place in town. The first spot we went to was the local grocery store to get food that we could make at the house. The grocery store was so full of people that it looked like a shopping mall on Black Friday. I saw many bizarre foods that I had never seen at home before. We also went to an elementary school, which was very different than any school I had seen at home. Almost all of it was outside and all of the classrooms were disconnected from each other. It was really interesting to see something so different. Later that night, we went to the town’s carnival. The few rides that they did have were so rickety that my parents were scared when my sister and I were on them. They were giving away many strange things as prizes, including pet chickens and alcohol to anyone who wanted it. A 12 year old boy won a beer at one of the games and gave it to my dad. Even though it was different than any other fair I had been to, it was still an interesting experience.
Roy was invited to a party because he was symphony pianist. Roy attended a ceremony and was returning from the bathroom. He stopped by the giant cannon and began to light a cigar. Suddenly he heard a pop. So loud, so strong. He heard everything as he collapsed, and instantly after the world went quiet. Time felt lost and Roy felt abandoned.
Elizabeth is sitting in the living room on the couch in her pajamas. The lights are dim and low and papers are scattered around her. The home is silent except for her fingers tapping away at the keyboard and the occasional shuffling of paper work. A notification sound comes from the computer. Elizabeth leans in and stares at the screen with her eyebrows crumpled as she reads. She leans back and her face becomes blank as she stares off into the distance. She closes the laptop, stands up and goes into the bedroom. As she approaches the bedroom door she reaches up to the top of the doorframe, grabs and object and puts it into the pocket of her pajama pants. Elizabeth enters the bedroom, climbs onto the bed, brings her knees to her chest, wraps
I go to the woods to calm down ,take a break from the drama. My dad used to take me to this special spot where these rocks split and you can stem to the top of them and sit down. For some reason the view and the feel is so peaceful. There's a dip in the rock perfect size for my body. I'll kick back and look up at the sky and sometimes, it’s rare though i’ll listen to music and sometimes fall asleep and when I wake up i'm refreshed and calm. Sometimes i'll stay there after i'm calm and just chill and sometimes if a friend comes over well sometimes go over there and we'll play around on the rocks and talk and after a little bit of hanging out we will go back inside and play my PS4 for a little bit and after the gaming we are still bored we
This summer was one of the best summer in my life. There was crying, laughing, and peeing our pants; just kidding. I hope I have another like this one. There are a million things we did this year and some things happened again like once or twice or maybe a thousand times. I tried new things and went new places.
My day starts out like most of a dollar’s day starts. As I rest in my owners wallet. He grabs his wallet and slides it in his back right-hand pocket, with me included. This is how my journey begins.
I was sitting in one of my friend’s basement, talking, laughing and messing around like we normally do. Because the July heat was almost unbearable, we are all going to the beach later. My friends and I do a lot together and we have been a group since about 5th grade. Also my family and I share everything with each other, and we really like each other unlike some families who hardly tolerate each other. I have lived a pretty good life so far. I get good grades during the school year. There is also a chance that I will play college basketball after my last two years of high school. My life is heading in a good direction, and the whole world seems on my side. Then I get the phone call and know that something is wrong and that my life was about
There isn’t a day in my life that I wake up and do not ask myself, “Why?” Why did my mother have to leave? Why did this happen to me? Without a doubt, the absence of my mother is the hardest obstacle I have had to overcome. My parents were young and unsure how to raise a child on their own. My mom really believed she could not do it, so she left when I was eight months old. At that age, a mother to an infant is everything, yet she was not there. I grew up not knowing the love of a mother, but learned to be independent. I did not have someone to guide me through childhood because my dad was too busy working in order to provide for us, and his family had kids of their own to worry about. Though his family loved us, they favored their own children over me and my sister. We had to do everything around the house while they did nothing. We felt as if we had no voice and no one to support us. Being in this situation made me into
It was a cold autumn morning when I heard the news coming from my alarm clock radio. Two people had won the lottery winnings from yesterday's drawing. They get to split a great prize, both people got to take home over 3 million dollars. I have been playing the lottery for about ten years now, I have only won three or four thousand, hoping to hit it big. For eight years I have been cleaning and cooking in a half kitchen with dinette. The small apartment had that smell as if something had been wet and moldy. I have had to listen through paper thin walls of, shouting, fighting, and the occasional grunts from some dirty old man upstairs. The constant running trains echo inside the entire apartment building. The living room was just big enough for
The most powerful moment that has happened to me involving music happened in the middle of my seventh grade year. Prior to seventh grade, I played the violin but desired to learn the Double Bass. I asked a few times if I could switch instruments so that I could fulfil that desire, but my teacher always turned me down telling me that I should just stick with the violin, this of course made me devasted. Then the following school year, the teacher asked if anybody could play Bass because Alex (the bassist) had moved to a different school and we had only one bassist left in the orchestra and at that moment I got my chance to learn an instrument that I not only loved to hear, but also loved to look at, listen to and play. My teacher was skeptical
At this point it was halfway through the year of 2006, summer break had just begun. The third grade was a difficult school year, this year I was introduced to the End of Grade state exams. Nonetheless, I passed the third grade along with Ruby passing kindergarten. This year so far was already a fantastic year, and it was only about to become better. My family had discussed plans about this summer, it was going to be the best summer ever. This summer was packed with trips to public swimming pools, visiting our relatives, fishing at my grandparents, and our annual trip to the beach. On this warm, breezy evening in early June, eight-year-old me in this brand-new blue dress with two bright yellow bows with my sister, were in my parent’s bedroom
