A good performance management system works towards helping the improvement of the overall organizational performance by helping in managing all of the performances of teams and also the individuals. This then helps with ensuring the achievement of the overall organizational ambitions and also its goals
 An effective performance management system can play a very crucial role in managing the performance in an organization by.
 Ensuring that all of the employees understand the importance of their contributions to the organizational goals and all to all of the objectives.
 Ensuring each employee understands what is expected from them and equally ascertaining whether the employees possess the required skills and support for fulfilling such expectations.
Doing all this also helps to ensure that you get to know you’re workers and that they are all happy around the work place. It also helps to ensure that you’re workers know what there strong skills are and where they can improve and work on to insure that they are working at their best. It is a good idea to have a check list such as the following to make sure guild lines are met as well as making sure you keep in contact and up to date with all you’re workers.
 Regularly providing open and transparent job feedbacks to the employees.
 Establishing a clear linkage between performance and compensation
 Providing ample learning and development
