As I seen her walking threw the doors, I ran in my Grandmother arms as she walked threw the airport doors.I felt like I was never going to see her again. We went to the Pensacola Police department. As I walked in they admittedly attempted to put me in handcuffs, I was Posted as a runway. My Grandma told the officers “This is a big misunderstanding I am here to get her” as she pulled out the custody papers she had on me. Continuing to tell them “she was just here visiting but her mother was holding her against her will when it was time for her to come back with me”. She was absolutely right I had no other choice but to runaway from her. I stood in silence as they took my name out the system as a run away.Me and My Grandmother rushed back to the Airport and caught the next flight from Pensacola,Florida to Philadelphia,Pennsylvania.
On 01/17/2017, at 1100 hours I made contact with William Stewart in the District II Lobby of the Pasco Sheriff`s Office in reference to disposal of miscellaneous ammunition.

After college I am going to the police academy so that I can work for Pearland Police Department. There is at least three reason why I want to work for Pearland PD. One, Pearland is one of the largest and fastest growing city in the united states. Second, Pearland Police department has grown over the past year which create new job opportunity in the city. Finally, the department provide the best training program.
On 02/09/2018 at 1101 hours, I responded to 2108 Magnolia Avenue Sanford FL. in reference to a possible burglary to the residence. Upon my arrival I made contact with Karleen Stevenson (reporting victim) who was waiting outside her residence. Stevenson stated that she noticed her residence appeared to be disturbed and became afraid to entry her residence. I asked Stevenson if I could enter the residence to ensure to Stevenson the residence was safe to enter. I requested to Seminole County Dispatch for the emergency channel. I made entry to residence of 2108 Magnolia Ave, with the assistance of Ofc. E. Rivera while identifying myself as “Sanford Police”. During my search, I discovered that glass sliding door leading towards a bedroom was smashed
Police brutality in the U.S. has been a phenomenon that has caught international attention in the last few years. As defined in thelawdictionary.org, police brutality is “the use of excessive and/or unnecessary force by police when dealing with civilians.” In many cases, civilians that were law-abiding and even unarmed were victims of police using unjustifiable force upon them. While independent organizations and activists have tried to eradicate this unacceptable behavior and phenomenon through protests and demonstrations, their efforts have not been enough. If law enforcement agencies, such as local police departments, educate their employees on the right and wrong ways to behave on the streets with civilians, the root cause of the problem will be addressed.
Policemen are supposed to “serve and protect.” Lately that motto has lost its significance and meaning. The public and the news media no longer respect the occupation. Policemen nowadays are accused of not doing their jobs properly and instead of serving their communities, outright ignore or harm ordinary civilians. Terms like “police brutality” have become rather popular and there appears to be no shortage of new articles scrutinizing the police. This paper will focus on the soured relation between Houstonians and the Houston Police Department (HPD). Of interest is the reasoning behind why a good chunk of Houston’s denizens despise HPD officers. Thus, this paper will take a closer look at some of the questionable actions committed by HPD’s

Prior to the creation of the formal police academy, officers were taught using various methods that were not always effective or conducive to the work required of an officer. As a result, ill-equipped officers flooded the streets of nineteenth-century America, often unable to perform the primary duty of their job: protecting the public. The United States, inspired by England and other countries with better-developed public safety systems, desperately needed a method of ensuring safety for its people. The creation and evolution of the police academy defined what being a police officer entailed by teaching officers what is expected of them, not only job-requirement wise, but also morally and ethically. The Police Academy prepares an

Nana went to jail for child abuse for about three months before she was released to BHC in Idaho Falls, because the doctor deemed her mentally unstable. Within six months of the occasion, she was back at home. Health and welfare put me with a foster parent named Gina Mercer, who lives in Milo, Idaho. We had a very good relationship right up until Christmas in 2010. We had been sledding at Community Park in Idaho Falls, and it was time to go. She told me that I couldn’t go down the hill again so anger welled up inside me. At the back of the Durango, with my sled in the back, and Gina in front of me trying to calm me down, I kicked her in the shin. This lady came over and she was on her phone with the police. Then when the police showed up, they put me in handcuffs, in the back of the cruiser. Gina was then spoken to by the officer. All that was heard from me was crying and then “don’t take me to detention.” The police officer calmed me down and said that he wasn’t going to take me to jail; he said there was this place called the Gustafson House. I went, because there was no other choice besides
In July of 1984, Jennifer Thompson-Cannino, a 22-year-old college student and another woman were both brutally raped at knife point on the same night (wc). During the attack, Thompson made a “very concerted effort to pay attention to facial features” (Citation book) (should I reword so I don’t have to quote?) and anything else notable so if she survived the attack, she could assure the rapist would be caught and punished (prosecuted). Within a few days of the attack, the Burlington Police Department had determined a suspect through the composite Thompson had made and arrested Ronald J. Cotton on August 1, of 1984. Thompson was able to identify Cotton under photo identification and then successfully chose him again in the physical line-up. The second victim however, did not chose Cotton in either of the lineups.
Matters started to take a turn when I got a little older. I talked to my mom much more and we started growing closer together and forming a real mother, daughter relationship. She started to rid her old habits and take on new better ones. She had been clean from meth for a couple years now, and things were going well. Little did we know she still had a warrant out for her arrest. One night she was leaving my dad’s house and the cops were right around the corner. As she turned the corner they flipped on their lights and asked for her name. After she gave them her name they looked it up and had a warrant out for her arrest. She was then taken into custody at the Jackson County jail.
I got up walked upstairs to wait for Trish to pick me up and bring me to school. This day I was sad because It has been almost a week since they taken me. The school dismissed me and I saw my whole family outside. I got so happy they had told me I have to stay with my dad until my mom got custody of me. It was about four days with me staying with my dad. My mom finally got custody of me. I was back to a happy home with my mom, my step dad and my little sister. Later that evening my mom showed me the email that she sent to the supervisor. After reading the e-mail. I got taking because my social worker said she doesn’t like black people and I had told my mom. I laughed because It was so funny. Then she had told me they wrote a book of lies on her. I was just so
Patrol accounts for the biggest portion of police work in most police agencies. The terms “patrolling” and ”on patrol” generally refer to what officers do while not handling calls for service—officers do this mostly in patrol cars, but sometimes on foot, on bicycles, on horseback, or the like. While on patrol, officers may look for traffic violations, suspicious behavior, disorder, and unsafe conditions. They may also look for opportunities to interact with the public in casual or more formal situations. This is all considered patrolling.
