The performances of the song “The Peer Gynt Suite” and Autumn movement 1 were both really well-played. Both of the pieces were played with amazing technique, great phrasing and nice balancing, therefore it can show who has the melody line. I’ll be writing about my opinion about each of the performance of the songs. During the performance “Autumn movement 1”, the rhythm and tempo were very steady and wasn’t rush. There were a few sections of the piece, where i could hear some rushing. For example, when there is the transitions from really slow rhythm to a fast and quite tempo. I thought that the soloist especially the violinist, did an amazing job keeping the tempo and not speeding up. Another great element of this piece was the balancing,
The first movement began with a very strong texture as the music reflected a very powerful theme. It began with the heavy instrumentation from the strings including cellos, violins, and basses. The tempo was also relatively fast and generally upbeat. About a minute and half in there was a very noticeable solo by the violins which was a bit softer in terms of the texture. The melody seemed to be very upbeat and cheerful. Lasting the form of the movement was very well structured and the instruments backed each other up smoothly.
Tempo was fast. The first few beats of the song are very slow and dramatic, but then quickly moves to an allegro speed as it is a quick and lively tempo. It continues to pick up speed until at the end it is up to a very fast, a presto tempo. The dynamics were loud
I think that the performer’s ability was appropriate for their location and for their audience because the tone quality of the musicians sounded very rich and clean. When I listened to the performance, I was able to hear all of the different parts of the piece clearly, which has made me much more conscious of the balance and dynamics of each phrase when I play. The texture of the pieces played was very rich and full because an orchestral piece is designed to have a good balance of instruments and good range of frequencies of sound that has lots of different things happening at the same time.
I feel that the fourteen members of chamber orchestra and the two vocalists did an outstanding job. This piece was well put together. I loved the harmony that was brought forth between the orchestra and the vocalists. The two vocalists a tenor known as Paul Groves and a soprano known as Anna Larson, did a beautiful job staying in tune. The way that their voices went back and forth in harmony was just beautiful.
“Battle of Bedegraine” and “Prooemium” provide some of the finest moments. The former, narrated by Julia Easterlin, develops with sharp angles and protuberances in the melody, acquiring depth by the presence of low-toned piano voicings and boosted by rampant saxophone incursions and trumpet stunts, which I wish would be further explored. The latter piece boasts lush harmonic sequences and a strapping improvisation by the bandleader before finishing in another collective
the viewer an indication of what the things is like (McKenna, 1970, p12)The nursing models are applied in nursing day to day because is the foundation of the actions nurses do.
The aim of Performance Indicator is to increase golf ball manufacturers’ value by increasing revenue from new ball sales as a result of eliminating older, used balls through its color change coating technology. Although there appears to be a possible financial benefit based on the future perceived demand for new golf balls, PI’s new technology does not appear to have any transparent benefit or value creation for the end consumer (golfer). Consequently, no manufacturer has yet to adopt this technology.
The first song was a paraphrase on Greensleeves. I was amazed by how perfectly insync they were. The song ended softly and quick. The next song was Carol of the Bells by Dudley. There was one harpist who played the melody. It was very smooth, soft and fit in perfectly with the season and theme. The last and final song of the night was the Waltz of the Flowers. From The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky. There was a soloist who played on her own for the beginning without any background music. Throughout the piece, there were many soloists and they all played smooth and consistent. I thought this song was very lively and
What I planning to be, I don’t even need to go to college. Not all people can become this kind of person though. I am planning to be a peer specialist which is a type of mental health professional. Not all people can qualify to be a peer specialist. Only certain people can be a peer specialist because of what they do. To be a peer specialist you must go through therapy for your own problems you had and you have to have recovered. I went to a psych ward 3 times in a year span and I recovered. I always wanted to help people who have gone through what I went through and I found what it was called and how to be one.
The contrast between the orchestra and the concerto violinist was perfect and she showed her skill in the violin solos. She mostly played at a very allegro pace as she expertly navigated through this very tough piece. She showed a lot of emotion as she quickly played crescendos and decrescendos that where congruent to the rest of the orchestra. I also noticed that the conductor was constantly looking back at the soloist in order to set the tempo for the rest of the orchestra. It was almost as if the soloist was leading the orchestra and the conductor was just following the soloist’s decisions. I thought that this was easily the best part of the show. She clearly is a virtuoso violinist due to her clear skill of playing the violin. I’ve never seen a violin player’s finger move so fast throughout a piece like that in my life. I thought that this was the most interesting and the most important part of the show. After, a guitarist named Steven Mackey came to perform with the solo violinist and the entire orchestra. He played pieces named Like an Animal, Salad Days, Lost in Splendor, and Destiny. I thought that this performance was
What is quality? Quality starts with performance improvement and patient safety to do harm, the ongoing process to find different ways to improve is constant in the quality department. In healthcare, Joint Commission regulates and requires facilities to improve patient care, outcomes, and processes. Quality is monitored and or reported through a management council which include: infection control, drug utilization, medical records, risk management and a host of others. This council comes together monthly with new ideas to improve what Glenda Melton calls pain points. For instance, what does not work well, how frequent, and the impact. (lab results)
I found this piece very interesting; it tells a clear story, and has a dissonant accompanist which makes it sound stylistically similar to the music of musical theatre.
With the continuous changes in healthcare, evaluation of students’ clinical knowledge and skills relies on the need for continuous evaluation. Evaluation is the process of using data to make judgements about students’ individual performance. Evaluation of clinical performance provides data from which educators use to judge the extent to which students have acquired specific learning outcomes (Billings & Halstead, 2016). With the use of best practice evaluation methods, clinical performance can be evaluated to ensure quality patient care. Educators face a challenging task when providing evaluation that is fair and reasonable. Tasked with evaluating students in the clinical setting, educators can evaluate how students integrate theory and apply it to real-life situations. Observations of performance in the clinical setting should focus on the outcomes to be met and competencies to be developed (Oermann & Gaberson, 2014). Developing a clinical evaluation tool to determine whether students can think critically, prioritize problems, and complete patient care procedures correctly is essential. There are a variety of evaluation methods to use in nursing education. Depending on the learning outcomes to be measured will determine which tool best evaluates the students’ performance. Clinical practice is an essential and highly significant component of nursing education. Education programs are obligated to respond to government requests for well-educated healthcare professionals.
This essay will discuss a clinical skill in which I have become competent in practicing. I will use a reflective model to discuss how I have achieved the necessary level of competence in my nurse training programme. The reflective model I have chosen to use is Gibbs model (Gibbs 1988). Gibbs model of reflection incorporates the following: description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and an action plan (Gibbs 1988). The model will be applied to the essay to facilitate critical thought, relating theory to practice where the model allows. Discussion will include the knowledge underpinning practice and the evidence base for the clinical skill. A conclusion to the essay will then be given which will discuss my reflection skills, acknowledge my competence and show my personal and professional development.
When I saw the piece, named, “Lapa’s Lament, I thought it was very unique and interesting. When the dancers were doing several movements with it, I got very confused. As a result, this confusion caused me to draw all the attention towards the dancer and to their performance. After a dance progresses, dancers were trying to tell a story with their movements. I think some of the dance movements, they were doing was very fascinating to watch. As a result, I was trying to make the whole story in my mind, as it was very unclear for me, what they were doing, but when Randy James came and talk little bit about the dance, I would able to understand what the dance is about. The way his dancers performed by showing their emotions, I thought it was incredibly performed. I felt that this dance was not losing its limelight throughout the performance. That is, the way they were communicating with each other through their body language and physical contact was just amazing. It shows their effort, as the dance steps included twisting and tumbling. Some of the dance steps, I have never saw in any of the dance companies who came to performed. I felt the dance was full of body movements, and I thought it would require a lot of physical strength to perform this kind of
