I think Peer education on college campuses is beneficial because it is very important for college students to learn about health information that they are not aware of. Nowadays not everyone is aware of increasing health problems and physical safety. The peer education on college campus can teach us so many things that we didn’t learn in school or from our parents. Peer education is a great way to learn about sexual behavior, drugs, abuse, alcohol, personal safety and overall mental and physical health. I believe peer education is a great way of motivation to college students because we can gain knowledge about making healthy choices, we can develop our values, beliefs and can embrace new skills and can be responsible for our own health. Having my future sights at working with first generation college students, I saw the applicability of constructivist theory in the combine use of solution focused and narrative therapy in servicing such a diverse group of students. Constructivist theory as a whole is applicable with addressing diverse issues surrounding culture, gender, and social context that influence career choices that are unique to a client when compared with others. Through a recent article titled the “Use of Constructivist Approach in Higher Education: An Instructors’ Observation”, focused on the constructivist approach being used in a career counseling setting, which presented an insight into clients ' stories. What are the educational pros and cons of incorporating social learning ideas into the classroom? Incorporating social learning in the classroom allows for students and teachers to discuss learning with interactive dialogue and instructional conversations. This approach can promote positive student interactions among peers and teachers. It will also allow for different interpretations and explanations of classroom content and material that may aid in the student understanding. For example, a peer explanation or discuss of classroom content may be better understand by a student will learning problems than we a teacher, or “expert” explains the material. A con to social learning would be if a student didn’t feel comfortable participating in these group discussions because of the lack of knowledge of the subject or because of the social pressures involved with speaking in front of their
