Carol Hutchins is the top ranked coach with the most wins in the history of college softball. She has collected a total of 1461 wins in 32 years of coaching. She has a mere 474 loses on her record. Hutchins first coached at Ferris State from 1981-1982 and then Michigan from 1985 to present time. Carol grew up in Lansing, Michigan where she then went and played softball at the place she coaches. She was the starting shortstop there as a freshman and also played basketball, too. Hutchins attended Everett High School where she also played on the Lansing Laurels.

On January 31, 2001 Logan Marr was found dead in an unfinished basement, yards of duct tape surrounding her, and a foster mother claiming that she just fell and hit her head. Sally Schofield, a respected caseworker at Maine's Department of Health and Human Services, had taken Logan in 2000. By 2001, 5 year old Logan would be dead. “I just want Sally Schofield out of my life forever,” Logan’s mother says, 16 years later, “She’s ruined my children’s lives and mine. She took an innocent child from this world for no reason.” Logan’s death was a tragedy that highlighted the problems in Maine's child welfare systems. Jenni Pulos is an Emmy-nominated television producer who was born on January 3, 1973, in Oregon being a Capricorn. She earned her fame through her role on Bravo’s hit show, Flipping Out which came out around the year 2007. The show also has a spinoff named “Interior Therapy with Jeff Lewis” which came on 2012 and she was an assistant of Jeff Lewis for the show. She is a Greek-American. She is a multi-talented person and she is also a writer, a rapper, a comedienne and was also in sports. As a writer, her work can be seen in her book ‘Grin and Bear It: How to Be Happy No Matter What Reality Throws Your Way’ which was published in March 2014.

Paul describes this partnership between Jews and Gentiles as koinonia. Koinonia, meaning “voluntary partnership for a specific purpose”, describes the intention behind the Jerusalem offering. The specific purpose of the Jerusalem offering was not only to collectively raise money for the church but also to help the Mediterranean churches unify with their Christian identity with the Jewish brothers and sisters. One of the first questions most people ask Amy Witherite when they meet her concerns why she does what she does. In other words, why did she become an attorney and then specialize in truck wrecks? For Amy, the answer is not as simple as saying she always wanted to be a lawyer. In fact, she never wanted to be a lawyer at all. The story of how it happened starts with going to college on a swimming scholarship.

Alice Paul was one of the most necessary factors in the equation for Women's Suffrage. Her bold tactics revitalized the suffragists movement and allowed for her to achieve her long term goals. She is the most important person of this time period because she never compromises her beliefs in the face of adversity. From a young age she was taught that she deserved unconditional equal rights. This is a radical notion that will drive her work throughout the rest of her life. She underwent arrests, forced feedings and protest after protest all in the name of equality. This message still resonates with people today as this generation fights for their rights.

I am Andrea Price, a Senior at Eastern Wayne High-school. I have a 3.8 G.P.A. and participate in multiple clubs such as National Honors Society, Career and Technical Education Honors Society, FCCLA, FCA, and Key Club. I have a passion for food and want to go to ECU to major in Business in order to run a catering service. My hobbies include cooking, reading, and of course spending time on the internet. I am a very talkative person and I love social gatherings. It would mean the world for me to participate in my school's annual pageant but, I can not do it alone. I need your support! Alice Paul was a strong willed woman who would not stop for anything in order to secure equality for both women and men. She was a common person like most and therefore related to many of those around her. Although she was raised in a wealthy family, she faced the death of family member and even discouragement of the public for voicing her thoughts. Despite these setbacks, she never stopped fighting for her cause. Even at a young age she was raised and taught that women and men were equal. After college, she went to Europe and learned military publicity skills to help earn women’s right to vote. Her mission did not stop with that; she continued to fight for her beliefs. Alice could feel her pulse pounding in her temples. Her hands were clasped tightly in front of her stomach as she constantly fiddled with her knuckles. She walked down the street yelling as her eyes were narrowed to rigid, cold fire. Alice felt surrounded as they threw rocks and spit on her. She lead a protest for women’s rights that caught the attention of many reporters. “ Women need rights, just like men!” They yelled over and over. A police officer ran over to them and told them to stop and threatened them if they did not stop. As they shackled her, the sadness flowed through her veins and deadened her mind. It was a poison to her spirit, as if a black mist had settled upon her and refused to shift. She felt defeated.

Alice Paul was born on January 11,1885, in Moorestown, New Jersey. Her father, who died when Alice was sixteen, was a businessman, banker, and property owner. The Pauls lived in the small Quaker community of Moorestown. One of the beliefs of the Quakers was equality of the sexes. As a young girl, Alice attended the Quaker suffrage meetings with her mother.

Tamora Pierce is a young adult fantasy fiction author who is quite well known for the young, strong and rebellious heroines in all of her novels. She was born December 13th, 1954 in Fayette Country, Pennsylvania. During her childhood, her family moved a great deal and books became her solace. Her uncle gave her a set of books including several from A.A Milne, who wrote all of the “Winnie the Pooh” books, and Dr. Seuss’ “Cat in the Hat.” What really got her into writing was when one day, her father told her she should start writing down her stories instead of just telling them to herself out loud, while also giving her some of her first book ideas. After that it all writing and reading every genre for Pierce, until she got introduced to J.R.R Tolkein in the sixth grade which was her window into fantasy novel, then eventually science fiction. She began writing stories mimicking all her favourite authors writing styles, something she encourages every young writer to do now. Later on in life as she reflected on the writing she did as a child she said: “I tried to write the kind of thing I was reading, with one difference: the books I loved were missing teenaged girl warriors.

Taking a deeper look into a story can help a reader see and understand a story better. By looking into a story, the little details stand out about the characters. The reader can understand so much better when reading between the lines. By reading between lines the reader can learn more about the characters in the story and understand them better. Also the setting in the story is more clear and easier to see. When taking a farther look into the story, the conflicts the character face make more sense. Every word an author puts in a story is important. So by knowing the symbols with in the story help the reader understand why it is there. Paul was a self-oriented boy, concerned with money, wealth, and glamour, raised in a Calvinist household that supported these ideals. Through my research I have decided that Paul's eventual fate was not any one person's fault. Paul was just as much to blame as his father and teachers for Paul's suicide.

This speech is Karl Paulnack’s welcoming address for incoming freshman students. He addresses that music isn’t apart of arts and entertainment rather music is an invisible force that helps us piece ourselves together. Paulnack believes that music is an essential part of life and goes to prove it by telling his experiences with it. He describes the first moment he truly understood music and the impact it has on people. Paulnack portrays the day after 9/11 after he struggles to find any meaning in being a pianist. After a long time of questioning himself he observes the city and notices something. He sees that in this time of grief and sadness people are singing. From this he learned that music is a form of expression, it allows people to express their feelings when they have no other words to describe them. Paulnack goes on to describe what he says was the most important concert of his life. He and a friend were playing a concert at a nursing home. During their performance, one man began to cry, it was at that time Paulnack knew the man was a veteran. Apostle Paul was not always a preacher of Christianity, Paul’s parents were Jewish as well as Roman citizens. Paul was to be a Rabbi though his future plans changed, on Paul’s journey of scorning Jesus, he had a vision in which Jesus asked why Paul scorns him, then commissions Paul to preach his message to the Gentiles who received mercy through Jewish unbelief. Around A.D. 56-58; Apostle Paul wrote the Romans, verses 8:26-30 states, “26 In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. 27 And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.
