Pat Tillman carried many characteristics that made him who he was, but his selflessness was the most apparent characteristic about him. Tillman’s selflessness become apparent when he threw away a multi-million dollar contract in the NFL just to serve for his country in the army. This type of commitment for the country is hard to find in other people. Another example that shows Tillman’s selflessness was after a football game when he was asked what his thoughts were on the game. He replied saying, “I didn’t play particularly well. The team played great.” This shows how Tillman really wasn’t playing for the fame, or publicity, and credited his team before himself. When people talk about the greatest of football, Peyton Manning and Joe Montana are the first names that come to mind. Although Manning is still playing American football, he and Montana are huge role models to many young quarterbacks. For example, Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Peyton Manning’s younger brother, even Cam Newton, who is one of the newest quarterbacks in the NFL, have been affected by either Manning or Montana. Both athletes have had a great career in NCAA and NFL, leaving their mask and setting the bar very high for other players. However, every kingdom has only one king. Many will say that Montana is the better of the two quarterbacks; however, Peyton Manning is the better quarterback because of many statistical reasons.

De’Shaun Buzzwell was born on October 13th, 1989 in Charlotte, North Carolina. He was always really fast and had a lot of energy. Because of this, his mother put him into sports. He played baseball, football, and basketball. His favorite sport was football. He played on an elite traveling football team that he was the star of. Having a lot of prior knowledge about football helps you understand the history of some things. John David Crow is the first person that comes to mind when I think about the Heisman Trophy. Although Crow was a native from Marion in North Louisiana, he found his way west to Springhill.
